I know it's been 9 months, but I would like to point out that Hange isn't technically a female, and their official gender is up to reader interpretation, because it really doesn't matter.

I can't believe how beautiful and sad this was. I can't believe how much this character would grew on me when they introduced her in season 1. Now I'm sitting here crying over a fictional character. Such a beautiful moment and such a beautiful song to go with it. Hange absolutely embodied the spirit of "give your hearts!" of the Survey Corps. And I can't help but appreciate the irony of how the forces of Paradis had figured out how to fight titans SO MUCH BETTER than the rest of the world, but the rest of the world would never think to ask them for advice or help for it. Though I do wonder why Armin didn't think to help Hange out by transforming into the Colossal Titan to help delay the oncoming Wall Titans. Given that he can transform without causing any kind of explosion, and that he wouldn't even use that much energy to do that and punch some unthinking Wall Titans just mindlessly marching forward, it seems rather odd. I get that Reiner and Annie couldn't have really helped much here due to the fact that the Wall Titans are so large and massive that they wouldn't be able to delay them much at all and would definitely be overwhelmed quite quickly through sheer numbers, but Armin could have had a chance to shine here too.
I think I also read somewhere that the colossal can only transform once every three days, due to the sheer energy it takes for a colossal titan transformation
Armin did think about transforming into the colossal titan, but they needed him to deal with eren, even reiner wanted to sacrifice himself (as expected) but he was a titan shifter so the only options were levi or hange.
Hange told them not to use any more titan power just to buy some more time! Cause they would come handy in a much bigger battle confronting Eren and stopping the rumbling. If you watch the full episode Hange mentions this exact same reason and tells them not to use their powers now. Also Levi is crucial, especially for fighting and finishing Zeke off. That is also why she could not sent Levi to buy some more time. The only logical choice was her, she being the commander of the scouts that is. And she knew that she won’t come out alive, that’s why she passed the commander’s position to Armin before she went on. Unlike some Japanese anime like Naruto, AOT really has some very strong female characters, which is rare both in hollywood or any other media! I really appreciate the writer for this also. Mikasa, Hange, Sasha, Annie, Ymir all of them are strong female characters. Even the apparently powerless and expendable female characters are also written beautifully with certain strength like Eren’s mom.

I wonder if they will ever bring any of AoT's forgotten OST like they did with barricades and this one in this episode... I really want them to bring zero eclipse back. They did partly use the barrichestra OST but only like half of it in this episode too which was nice too! They also used Vc-pf20130218 and call of silence too I think.

She objectively took out as many titans that were the closest to the port. It may not seem like much that that mere minute she bought them made such a difference. Really shows how precious time is in moments of crisis.

This just shows truly how far above literally everyone The Scouts really are. They truly are the best of the best humans, just goes to show a force of people willing to fight literal giant monsters truly are the best fighters mankind can truly offer. To be a Scout you not only have to be beyond above average in skill and lethality, but also your mind must be amongst the sharpest humans can achieve just to survive let alone actually *win* in the situation they started at, and Hannge was so instrumental in outting so much of that information togther, she truly is one of the smartest humans mankind could create. The Scouts are so far above everyone else and i think Marley comes to realize that at the end. They truly are the best of the best of the best of mankind, and Hange was ong the best of The Scouts. Truly a legendary woman, worthy of every bit of praise.
in two days the ending of this series will be upon us its kind of depressing such a good show coming to a conclusion hopefully the last episode does the anime justice
God the song is so perfect for them. Hange was so DESPERATE to be done with this constant battle, especially since having to take up Erwin’s role. I honestly kind of view their death as a suicide
