I thought it was more of a rhetoric where everyone is cursed by fate thusly removing their freedom. Hange just happened to be the one most apt to mirror an Icarus rendition in which her teachers and scouts warned her of the danger of Titans but also provided her with the 'wings' to get close to them and her fate forced her into a position where they burnt her wings and left her to plummet and perish in the sea. But maybe I'm just an illiterate.
This one literally sounded badass while Hanje was fighting. Hanje you were one of the best commanders of the scouts and you have my respect. RIP

I'm still amazed. Now I don't see how anyone can criticize MAPPA or SNK. Even those who don't like the basic manga. The episode was one of the greatest episodes of japanimation. In on part of the lyrics says: "We'll fight until this hot wind takes our wings", The song was used in season 1, and supposed it narrates hanje fighting a giant monster, apparently this song was created for the final moments of hanje.

The way that Levi dedicated his heart to her; was sort of heartbreaking. That was his last original friend from his past and she was obviously someone he really cared about. In my eyes Hange is a certified Ackerman after seeing how she took down the wall titans.
Maybe hange is the strongest character in this series without titan power or ackerman

isayama never fails to surprise me with the female character representation! Love seeing the girls play an equally integral role as the men. It's one of the best I've seen in anime. My respect for hange shot up 70 percent after seeing her in action!

Hanges death was honestly the saddest. I can't even find words to describe how I feel about this song.
I love how its called "Hange's Theme" now.
Honestly, seeing that image, knowing Hange handed the reins to Armin and hearing their last words..
While they were about to die..I also believe that in that exact moment, Hange was the most free person in the world.

This really makes me cry, dude. Like oh my freaking god. What causes me the most PAIN is how Levi put his fist on her chest like a salute and said "Dedicate your heart." I always think of it like, Hange told him that she wanted to make a cool exit, so even though Levi was probably pretty distraught at that moment he was like "Y'know what? You're gonna get a cool exit" and did that as a proper send-off. ASjfsdagagsfadsg I'm crying againnnn
After listening to this song and knowing lyrics, I somehow think that Hange's past was the most painful compared to others. Idk why many people said she might have had normal family but imo it's the total opposite. Maybe bcs it's too sad and painful Isayama sensei didn't want to bring up her backstory until her last😢😢😢😢

In regards to her final moments, I was in a mix of joy and sadness that such a great character bit the dust. On one hand, she did her damn best to hold off the approaching titans to give the crew their time and when she inevitably died, they didn't harp on her condition, instead she immediately found herself in the afterlife with the other Scouts and just seemed happy that she died a good death. On the other hand, Hange, or Hanji, however you prefer, was my favorite character in the series, and seeing her go hurt me even if I was literally cheering her on in her final scenes. As cringe as may sound, I have no shame in admitting that I was deeply relieved when she snapped into the next life and seemed genuinely happy that she had moved on from the literal hellscape that was the world.
Think of it this way: she fulfilled her duty proudly, enjoying those final moments. Quite frankly, she may have the best death in the series aside from Erwin arguably.

@@SarkoTheSharko tbh the best death so far is Floch. He did not give up once on his goals, and did so well in stalling the strongest Scouts ever. Regardless of the fact he was an enemy, he's probably the dude with the most impressive death.

As expected, the wait was worth it, this movie was a complete masterpiece, completely broke my heart and my soul. Cried multiple times, and credits song was what really destroyed me. I'm so grateful that this story exists.

hange was one of the smartest characters in this show, rlly shown in season 1 when she was talking to Eren and almost predicted that since titan bodies form from out of no where there must be somewhere where the creation takes place (paths) her sufferings over at least.

Hange has become my absolute favorite character almost ever since they introduced her; I absolutely freaking love her.
Having this music start playing, and Levi saying "Dedicate your heart" as he gives his honor to Hange, I just couldn't help but both cry and smile at the same time. Seeing Hange be how she usually used to in the earlier seasons warmed my heart, and throughout the entire fight scene I was crying my eyes out, especially closer towards its ending.

I remember listening to this back when season 1 first came out and thought "Hey wtf this sounds nothing like the one in the show" then the song grew on me.
Years later, who knew the actual song would be played on the death of one of my favorite characters. Alotta people were probably sad hanji died but i was hit more with massive nostalgia
