I didn't expect the name of the track to be An Ordinary Day. I was expecting something like In the Depths of Despair or just Despair. But An Ordinary Day is such a twisted and haunting name for this track. It's like a horror version of Footsteps of Doom, it's so good. It's probably my all-time favorite track in the entire series
I was expecting it to be "Judgement Day"
I expected "The Hell" "Inferno" or "This is Freedom"
I was expecting it to be like, last day, or the End.... But didn't expect this....
Or maybe "Ragnarök"
It conveys the message that your end can arrive on a apparently simple and unimportant ordinary day.
I think this is most terrifying piece of music ever done for Attack on Titan. If not for anime. The pure horror, desperation, something twisted and beyond repair and salvation. Very-very few soundtracks can translate it so well.
When you watched the scene so many times that you can still hear the voices and screams in the song itself (and i mean your version and the official one)

This is sheer terror. I have never heard such an accurate depiction and representation of such a feeling of terror and despair, the ability to do nothing about it, it’s not really sad, not necessarily angry, just pure chaos, every man for himself, you’ve been told your time is up and there’s literally nothing you can do about, all you can do is just sit and watch in awe as everyone futilely fights to survivor, even though it amounts to nothing, how did it get like this? How did this happen? This is true hell, this is despair, this is terror. I’m so godamn impressed

And then this show. The rumbling beginning, the destruction of Marley and the baby scene.
My god I think it really speaks to a story’s writing when it can pull off such emotions

Dude! Thank you so much. This has been my favorite OST since I first heard it back in March. The closest one to the original I could ever find before the offical released was the one by Tom Dabrowski. And the Offical one, while not bad, added a bunch of unnecessary riffs that kinda bothers me. But I appreciate you making this one, its amazing!
I agree. I'm sure Kohta's intention in this was to make the song as terrifying as possible. But in practice it was quite exaggerated. So much so that the director himself seems to have understood this and did this "sifting" work when putting it in the anime.

When this ost came out. I was shocked on how horrifying this song was. I was expecting Vogel, or Elo to play.
Everyone seems to expect vogel for whatever reason.
@@bboi1489 for me it was an edit of the manga panels with Vogel playing during the depths of despair scene and it was pretty fitting. Idk if it’s still up. It was about 2/3 years ago since I saw it.

There are no words that can fully describe how EPIC this OST is🔥 I actually prefer listening to this cover rather than the official release on Kohta Yamamoto's channel. The official version has these off-putting & weird sounding guitar riffs added to it & they completely ruin the soundtrack for me. The anime version was already perfect as it was.

I wish Christophe Beck and Brian Tyler could conduct this soundtrack in Frozen 3. I might call this soundtrack "Death And Destruction." In Frozen 3, this music plays when Samantha her army of Kultramites attacked and destroyed Corona, (the city from Tangled) killing everyone in the city and kingdom. In the aftermath at 4:57, the city and kingdom are on fire and the people are slaughtered. Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder are the only survivors in the attack. What do you think?
