I am so proud of you three! Your voices are heavenly. My mother's brothers all served our country. My husband served in Vietnam. Jim doesn't talk much about it. Those soldiers were heckled and spit on when they came home. I hope they all see this tribute.
My father fought in the 44th Infantry division, 6Th German .Army in Stalingrad (Deutsche Wehrmacht), 1942, He got wounded and evacuated before the encirclement. Greetings from Mexico City.
Yeah my grandfather had two warships sunk under him by dec 1941 , three by wars end ..he fought with the best navy thsts ever put to sea , his ship mates were the real heros of ww2 . Rule Britannia..god bless the Royal Navy 🇬🇧.
Sir, my uncle was SS. He served his country. As my other uncle served Canada in that war. And I have served the CDN Forces for 36 years. I hope we will never again have such a war. Despite what I am seeing in the main-stream media between Russia and NATO.
beautiful! My dad is 101 years old. He was a prisoner of war in Germany. After he was liberated he spent a year in the army hospital. He was sick and emaciated plus he'd lost the end of a couple of toes to frostbite. But he went on to live an amazing full life. I'm fortunate to have him and my mom still with me. They've been married 75 years.
Wonderful! My father made it to 100 years, 2 months and 13 days and died 2 years ago. He was proud of his service. It’s sad, but my mother died in 1993. The first thing he said was after she died was that he had hoped they would have 10 more years together, but he had 30 years without her. They had 45 years together. Your parents and you are blessed.
Please send your Dad (& Mom) deepest admiration, gratitude & love from the daughter of a long deceased but forever proud & faithful Marine who also served in that war. 💗🙏🕊🇺🇲
Wow. They certainly built men and women differently back then. I imagine nothing he’s seen since has even come close. His perspective on life is probably more grounded than most everyone.
I sobbed when I watched this video. My father was a Marine, a bazooka carrier, in the Pacific Theater in WWII, and my mother was part of the first women's Coast Guard class. They are both gone now, and soon my generation will be also. PLEASE don't let your generation, and those who come after you, forget that that generation saved the world when they were in their early twenties. Thank you for such a beautiful remembrance.
I lost my husband 5 1/2 years ago. He was a Marine from Viet Nam era. He lost both eyes, 2in hole in his skull, and numerous other injuries. Yet, he went to college, worked 15 yrs for the VA, married with 6 children. He is an extraordinary man and I miss him.
My father is 98 years old and still living. He fought in WWII. He served in the navy and was stationed in Saipan in the Mariana Islands. A beautiful tribute to those who served -
@@cherylketcham9884 my uncles were at guadal canal, the Solomon Islands and the Marianas. Also prison camps in Asia. The malaria is a killer as well as the night.
I tip my cap to these young people who put this video together. My father and father in law served during WWII. Thank you to all who have served. I am proud to have also served.
When I was 12 years old, i played bugle in a drum corps. The local American Legion Post asked me to play taps at a soldier's funeral. Then they asked if I'd do another. And another, and another. Some of those being laid to rest were veterans of the Spanish American War. Some were veterans of WWI,. Others were veterans of WWII, and the Korean conflict (this was the mid to late 50's). To happen upon your tribute this evening has filled me with rememberance of things past. I cannot thank you enough for this amazing acknowledgement of the average person who, when called upon, answers. Billy Boyd's tribute to the Tokien's epic stories was the perfect choice for the music. Thank you, and thank you to the veterans, one and all...
My uncle died in a foxhole in France on Christmas Eve during WWII. He was only 19 yrars old. He fought to keep us free! We must never forget all these brave souls. What a beautiful tribute! Coming from such honored youth! Blessings❤❤❤
Mercy, I will remember him Ma'am and give thanks for his sacrifice to win freedom! My Dad fought aboard the USS Essex in the Pacific during WWII. I will never forget....
My dad served. On T2 tankers in the Merchant Marine off the east coast One of the most dangerous jobs. Died at age of 73 in 1997 of lung cancer. Never spoke of his service. Raised 7 boys and girls
@@paularedding1358 Me too and I'm an 81 years old ex Police officer retired after 38 years.. Still made my eyes wet... Lovely voices and sad pictures of those who didn't make it home..
Thank you for the tribute. My father served in Germany during the 2nd World War. Growing up he didn’t want to talk about what he experienced and what he witnessed during the war. I enlisted in the US Army in 1972, serving in Germany. After I completed my enlistment and returned home, my dad was willing to talk about his military service. He witnessed the horrors of war which affected him the rest of his life. After he retired from teaching he got involved with reunions with the unit he served with during the war at locations throughout the US. He passed away in 2005 with military honors.
My father fought in WWII and suffered pain the rest of his years from a piece of shrapnel near his heart. Passed away at 59. Way tooo young! 😢May you rest in peace dad and thank you for your service. ❤
Hi. Thanks to your Dad. May God bless his soul and his family, all of you. My Dad was also a Master Sargeant who served in Africa, Sicily and Italy. Both of his parents back home in the States died while he was over there fighting. He was not able to return home for their funerals. He also lost friends over their. He was in the Army. My Mom was an Ensign in the Navy. She died young. I miss them both.
@@jimhoffmann2649 God bless you and your family each day. these service members truly were the GREATEST GENERATION - they saved the free world. may we and our families alwaysss remember their service and sacrifice ❤️🇺🇸💙
A special thankyou from New Zealand to you as you represent your father, a hero. Many young New Zealand men fought in those places. I acknowledge the appalling situations they lived through...if lucky. Lest we forget.
Thank you for this song. My dad was a tank driver in WW2. He was the only survivor when his tank was destroyed. Bless him and those he served with. I served during Vietnam and my son served in Desert Storm. I hope none of my grandchildren or great grandchildren have to serve in any war. Again thank you
WE have a lot in common... My dad served on a PT-Boat during WWII. His first one was sunk, and thank God, they all survived. he then volunteered on a second one. My brother served in Vietnam, around Da Nang from 1967-1968 and I served during the Cold War in Scotland and Rota, Spain. While in the reserves I activated for Desert Shield/Storm.
@@happytentcamper Yes. Thank you for your service and that of your family. I hope the young people of today realize what sacrifices were made so they could live in this country and enjoy freedom of life.
None is forgotten who puts their life in harm's way for another. No rank or colour will divide those who stood shoulder to shoulder in the battle against evil. This is a sobering reminder of the ultimate sacrifice the brave make for another. Thank you Life in 3D for a dignified memorial to God's beautiful people.
Thank you for this loving tribute. My father served in WW2 and he died in the Korean War. I served in the US Army during the Viet Nam war. This video has a very special meaning for me.
Praise, gratitude and love to all our WWII Veterans!! My dad was a pilot. He loved flying the P51 Mustang. Also flew the mighty B36!!! He passed away 6 years ago. My heart will always be with him....and all our brave Veterans, no matter their color or position!! An amazing generation who loved their country more than life itself! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We won't let you down!!! God Bless America!!! Now and forevermore!!!❤🇺🇸
I wish that the current generation felt that pride for our country. Lord help us if WW111 breaks out. My Great Uncles and two Great Aunts fought in WW11. 3 of them were decorated heroes. They were proud of our country and said that they would fight again if they had too. Unfortunately all of them are gone now, but they will never be forgotten nor will all of those who have served before and since. They all deserve our deepest gratitude, no matter color or rank.
THAT was soooo beautiful......your harmonies are magnificent!!! You 3 have such beautiful voices!!! Thank you so much for this tribute!!! My daddy was in WWII as well!!! ❤
Such a great generation! We should all strive to be half that they were. My grandmother was a fine example of a matriach, always there. My grandfather was such a hardworking, humble man.
As a French man I will never forget that we owe our freedom to the American people and it will be a joy to welcome you in Paris for the Olympics. Please come to visit us. The city of Paris was never as beautiful as today. I look forward to see you back.
When I see the reverence and gratitude of the citizens of Normandy greeting our surviving veterans visiting your sacred country, it touches my heart so deeply. Gratitude can cross generations, and in so doing, it assumes a deep patina upon our character and culture. Mes respects, Monsieur.
These kids are amazing... This brings tears to my weary old eyes. My father and two uncles served in WW-II. It has taken me 70+ yrs to appreciate those who served and sacrificed for the freedoms that we enjoy today. It is a travesty the way our surviving veterans are treated. Please give them the support and respect that they deserve. "Go Army!" "Semper Fidelis!" "Non sibi sed patriae"! "Prosequor Alis"! Thank you Lifein.3d for sharing this.
My Dad was a Marine in WW2! Thx for your service Dad! I love you and miss you. And you too Uncle Fred, who died in that war at 18. Both with Jesus! See you both soon! So proud of you both and all who died, were wounded and served! God bless all!
A beautiful rendition of Billy Boyd's song, The Last Goodbye, and very moving showing the photos of our greatest generation. Both my parents were of that generation, dad fought in Europe as an infantryman in Patton's Third Army, 5th Division, 2nd Infantry Regiment. Mom was a Filipino civilian who survived the brutal 3-year Japanese occupation of Manila. And I've known so many others who took part in such epic battles and episodes of this war. Such a brave generation and unselfish in their sacrifice. I'm humbled to have loved and known so many of them.
At 75 and a marine Navy corpsmen in Vietnam please in 10 years do this again as we will also be fewer entering our last goodbye stage of our lives. God Bless my Brothers and sisters in arms.
So tastefully done. Brought tears to my eyes as my father passed last month having served at Pearl Harbor (after the Japanese bombardment) repairing submarines' electronics. His ashes are now buried at a National Veterans Cemetery. We will remember them all.
An incredible tribute to those who served in WWII. My dad was one of those. He's been gone for more than 20 years. I would love to share his story with you if I could. Thank you for the tribute. We too soon forget.
My father was a TBF Avenger pilot. He was shot down after delivering his load of bombs on the caves on Iwo Jima. He survived, but his crew members both died. Truly the greatest generation.
My husband's uncle, Claude Eugene Doty, paid the ultimate sacrifice on Nov. 20, 1944. Though we never met him, we still honor him to this day. Thank you for this very moving tribute and thank you to all who have served our country.
My Dad was among those men who stayed gone from home all of those years. He was one of the fortunate who did come home. So many did not. Thank you for this. We miss them, but look forward to being reunited in God's time.
This a beautiful tribute and very well done. I know you folks are Americans and this was done for your Memorial Day, but let me share the story of a dear friend Douglas ( God rest his soul ) who joined the Royal Navy at the outbreak of war in 1939 at 17 years of age and served in every region where the Royal Navy was deployed including the D-Day landings and the inavasion of Sicily and ended to the war in HMS Howe in the Pacific. He got home in 1946 ...7 years after he left home. They were indeed "the greatest generation"
They were indeed. Thank you for telling us about your dear friend - he sounds like a true legend! I have a 17 year old son and can't begin to imagine him experiencing such horrors... Your friend surely had angels watching over him!
Growing up in the 60s and 70s, WW2 veterans were my teachers, little league coaches, Boy Scout leaders, community organizers, dentists, local firemen and police. They were my uncles and grand uncles, my friends' fathers and my own father. Expressing sadness and gratitude at their passing is exactly right.
Amen, Sir! Same here. My Dad fought aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex in the Pacific during WWII. I salute them all and miss them greatly. Marshall in Oklahoma
I come from the Netherlands and have always lived in freedom. The reason? By the heroes from America, Canada, France, England and more countries who made sure that people like me got the best gift anyone could get... FREEDOM... thank you for your sacrifice and heroism. This song made me cry.
My Dad's eyesight was too bad for active combat, but he was stationed on a Navy boat in the Pacific theater. They were called to do recognizance in Nagasaki a week after the bomb dropped. Dad lost a lung upon returning to the U.S., but lived to 88 with one lung. Love you Daddy, and honor your service! ❤
On behalf of my Late Father who served in WW11 on the Aleutian Chain in Alaska I thank you 3D for a beautiful tribute for all those who served and died for our country. We honor them all and do not take it lightly what they have done for us all. Love your voices. Keep singing. God Bless you.
My Dad served in WWII in the Army Signal Corps in the Pacific He never talked about his service except to say he lost alot of good friends. He would have been 100 this year Thanks for this beautiful song honoring them
Your beautiful video and song tribute was released today (5/18/24) which is Armed Forces Day. My dad and his identical twin served together in the Navy in WWII. Fittingly, Dad was buried on Armed Forces Day (nine years ago today). God bless all those who served in WWII and those still here to tell about it. You are appreciated, remembered, and loved.
Thank you for doing this song. My father fought in WWII and was one of those brave men that landed on Omaha Beach. He was drafted at a young age. It's heartwarming seeing young people like you three paying honor to those who fought and died for their country.
My Dad was in India and China, my husband’s Dad at Pearl Harbor. Their brothers were at Pearl Harbor and European theater, one flew the Hump. Thank you for this tribute to them.
My grandfather was 98 when he passed away on Christmas Eve last year. He was a prisoner of war in Germany for about 6 months before the war came to an end. Thank you all for this, I gave him my last goodbye but I’ll always wish I had one more.
I am the first son of a WW2 Vet of the Italian Campaign. He had 2 more sons. I would not have come to be had he died in that war. Before my father died in 1999, he saw my two sons and held my baby daughter. For 7 yrs I heard his story sitting on our front porch. My mother's brother served in Pacific under MacArthur while my father's brother served as a Marine Corps Master Sargent in the Pacific. I did not hear their stories but I am sure theirs would have been as sad, bloody, terrifying and times laced with laughter. They and their mates were for us their sons and daughters, our Greatest Generation. As of 2024 may we all stand to be seen for future generations be as great in this hour of our country. Thank you for your singing that last good bye.
My great grandfather was in the Navy at Pearl harbor when it first went down I don't know how he survived all the entire war but I'm glad too have met him when I was a child thank you all for literally everything
My stepdad was a U.S. Merchant Mariner operating in the South Pacific all during WW II. He lost many friends and shipmates during that time through enemy actions. Let's also remember all the Merchant Marine members that gave their all for the cause.
This Song brings back my father's face. He Served in Korea "The forgotten War" and has since passed. Our Greatest Generation is passing, and I hope our Country remembers them. Love and Miss you Dad.
My grandfather was a Merchant Marine captain of Liberty Ships taking supplies to Europe. He had three ships sunk from under him, and took a 14mm round in the leg. Before that, he fought in the trenches of WW1. My father stood fast at the Pusan Perimeter, in spite of a shrapnel head wound. They inspired me to serve in the Gulf War. They inspired my nephews, who were injured in Afghanistan. We've stood on the line to preserve democracy and the American way, proudly.
Very nicely done. I was born in 1952. My father served in WW2. His cousin was a paratrooper captured by the German's on D-Day. I love your music. Very few are left. I still have my father's WW2 veteran hat. Thank you for this tribute.
My beloved father and my uncle both served in the army during WWII. My uncle survived the Bataan Death March. I am so proud of their bravery and so very grateful for them!
My Uncle also survived the Bataan Death March. Many Filipinos loyal to the Americans fought the enemy through Guerilla tactics and my uncle was one of them, a sniper.
I knew a civilian carpenter captured in the first weeks of the war at Midway. More than three and a half years of slave labor and starvation. An underground coal mine. A couple other sites. At the end of the war a clay pit making bricks on Honshu. Looked like the Auschwitz survivors. I’ll leave out more. A few days after Hirohito’s surrender, parachutes from B-29’s. Food. He said it still made him angry when Americans said ‘I’m hungry’, when they mean ‘I’m not full’. I still try not to say it, though sometimes I do. M.K paid his family through the war. Widows after The War were offered jobs. The survivors were given jobs ‘as long as they could push a piece of paper from one side of the desk to the other’ the saying went. When he recovered, as much as he could he went back to work as a carpenter and a pile buck.
My grandpa fought as a Japanese American with the 442 and lost many friends in Europe. He would spend most Memorial Days just like the ending of Saving Private Ryan…visiting his friends Tombstones and saying his lived his life for them too. This was a great tribute and I miss that old man
You gave me tears listening and watching this. God Bless all veterans from all nations both then and now, who put their lives on the line for our freedom's....From UK Veteran 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
My father was a combat veteran of WW II, in the European Theater of Operations. He was wounded in action and decorated for valor during the brutal winter of 1944-45, manning his machine gun as he helped to repel the German counter-offensive known as "Operation Nordwind" (a.k.a. "the Little Bulge") with is fellow-soldiers of the 70th US Infantry Division "Trailblazers." He passed out of this mortal realm in 1999. There are so few of the Greatest Generation left, now. It is very sad... but we who live remember them, and do so with love and gratitude. God bless their memories.
Tears of thankfulness for all who have and are serving our country! The music, vocals, everything was top notch and will touch many hearts! May God bless America!❤Thank you 3D💕
Thank you for this Tribute. My passed 10 years ago at 97 WW2 vet. Im 75 Vietnam Vet. It will our turn to pass someday. God Bless to all our brothers and sisters who gave all.
These were the men and women of "The Greatest Generation" whose courage and shear grit are beyond admiration. We all owe them EVERYTHING that we now enjoy.
This is beautiful I cried all the way through. Truly the Greatest Generation. We DO owe them everything we now enjoy for sure and lots of us don't even care.
Pressure makes diamonds and that war produced many. I have been blessed with many of those diamonds shaping my life and remaining in my heart. With tears I say thank you.
I said goodbye to my grandfather in 2003, I stood with him on Omaha beach in 1994. I'd trade all the years I've had since to have him back for 10 minutes. This was a beautiful tribute, thank you for bringing back memories.
😢 so touching. My Dad was in the Army Air Corps . He had the dangerous job of a tail gunner, under the aircraft. His best friend, Lewis Smith, had the same position under the front of the plane. Both survived and lived to be 84 and 98. Thank you for this moving tribute. ❤️

My grandpa served in the Navy, came home injured. He passed in 2011 at 85. He was my best friend, the only father figure I ever had. He lived to watch all 4 of my children start elementary school. My oldest carries his name. Robert Preston Burns you will never be forgotten!

I am a person who comes from a family who has been serving America since we first gained our independence. I don’t say this to brag even though I am proud of my family and their willingness to serve for mine and other peoples freedoms . I am saying this because I love seeing things that honor our soldiers who have fallen, were missing, captured, returned home and still serving. This song brought tears to my eyes. It is so beautiful. Thank you
This is such a touching song and a well-done video! Thank you so much for the opportunity to share my grandfather's photo. Much love and God's blessings to you all and your families.
My dad passed on Xmas Eve 1996. To the day he died, he had a bullet crease right across the top of his head, from an incident when he was stationed in Lima Peru as a military attache at the American Embassy there... a cab driver who was an undercover German agent took a shot at him. His joke was that he didn't WANT a part in his hair in the middle, it wasn't really too visible until his final stage of cancer. His story when my bro & I were kids was that he was working on a car and the engine blew up; we called him on that when we were teens, he told us the real story. Thanks for this. Saved to file. 8-)
I'm a Vietnam vet, not a WW II vet, but this song touched me deeply. Thank you for making it available like this. I can't tell you how much that means to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Grace and peace to you as you serve in this special way! The Lord has blessed you with beautiful voices and with an amazing ability to harmonize.
My father served in Europe, specifically Germany, after the war and to his grave never spoke of the attrosities he witnessed. Thank you for honoring all our heroes in such a beautiful way
As a Combat Engineer Veteran of Desert Storm, my heart and praise goes out to all of these men and women. One of the things that is not told is the key factor of Combat Engineers on D-Day. Watch the "Longest Day" towards the end of the movie and it will give a glimpse of what my brethern did that day 80 years ago. My parents were very close friends to many WW II vets and I remember their stories. One of our neighbors served in the Pacific. He gave me his Japanese bayonet he got over there. And another close friend gave me an interview when I was in 5th grade of his service as a B-24 Waist Gunner who came back to be an instructor for the USAAF. I miss them all. Essayons!

I recently subscribed to this channel. When I heard this for the first time it brought tears. A little over 2 years ago my dad passed at the age of 100. He was 19 when he was given his first assignment at the battle of Peleliu. He was on the front lines. He didn't talk about it until he was in his 90's. I wish I had known at a much younger age. Thank you for this tribute Love you dad..you are my hero. RIP
Beautiful............My great Uncle James Richard Hawkins died in this war. He was a fighter Ace. His time was up and he decided to re-enlist, sadly his first mission, he was shot down.............Some gave all...............Salute!
Retired Army here with 4 tours to OIF. My grandfather was my hero and he was a Thompson machine gunner in WWII. I pretty much patterned my life after him. Thank you all for doing this wonderful tribute and good luck on your future endeavors!
How beautifully sung and presented!!! Thank you so much! My father fought in New Guinea, my mother wanted to join the women's air corps (WAC) but couldn't afford her final fee to get her pilot's license. She will be 99 this October, and is truly among the last of this greatest generation. They take with them the last generation to know commitment to country and others, and working together for a common cause, honor in personal courage and values, and faith in Almighty God. How sad to see them go, one by one, quicker and more and more each day.....Won't see another generation like this, EVER again.
Thank you for the beautiful video. My father served in WW2, Korea and Vietnam and died in 2001 a week before the 911 attacks. I cannot appreciate his sacrifice enough to keep freedom in this country.
My wonderful Dad, Albert Nelson, was in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. I was born a year after the war was over. He was a wonderful husband and father, and I'm so glad that he came home, because so many did not. I miss him every single day. Thanks for this video. It set just the right tone, acknowledging the sacrifices these people made without glorifying war.

I am sorry for your family's loss but am grateful for the sacrifices of the greatest generation.
Mercy, I will remember him Ma'am and give thanks for his sacrifice to win freedom! My Dad fought aboard the USS Essex in the Pacific during WWII. I will never forget....
I salute your uncle. His sacrifice helped us to live with freedom.
My dad served. On T2 tankers in the Merchant Marine off the east coast One of the most dangerous jobs. Died at age of 73 in 1997 of lung cancer. Never spoke of his service. Raised 7 boys and girls
Thank you for this! My dad turned 98 last March. He is a WWII vet. Still living at home independently. Love that man beyond words! ❤
A big thank you to him for his service! My grandfather too, but he has passed.
He came from a time when men were men. So many thanks to him and all who ever served.
Thank him every day please
Amazing!
THEY DONT MAKE UM LIKE THAT ANY MORE TOUCH AND DETERMINED TO DO GODBLESS HIM AND THANKS SO SO MUCH FOR HIS SERVICE AND SACRFICE FOR EVERYONES FREEDOM
We will not forget the black American soldiers or any other ethnic group. . All are Americans and we owe them our freedom.
They fought together, many died together, they ALL kept our freedom.
You are correct! We are all AMERICANS! ❤
The Tuskegee airmen had an incredible record. They never lost a bomber.
Stop this silly categorizing! They are not Black or White, they are noble men and women, period.
This brought tears to my eyes. It will always be the greatest generation.
Agree
With the passing of time, the danger is we will forget. We need tributes like this to break our hearts so we don't forget. 💔❤🔥💔❤🔥
My father fought in WWII and suffered pain the rest of his years from a piece of shrapnel near his heart. Passed away at 59. Way tooo young! 😢May you rest in peace dad and thank you for your service. ❤
On behalf of my father, Master Sgt. Roy Burnes Jr, who served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy, I thank you. Your tribute was beautifully done.
@@jimhoffmann2649
I salute your father.
Our Boys from New Zealand served in those countries also.
All these heroes are woven into my heart.
Well said Sir! 👏
@@tashasmith1234 God bless you.
Land of the free because of the brave…. Beautiful phrase. That you for this moving video
Thank you for this loving tribute. My father served in WW2 and he died in the Korean War. I served in the US Army during the Viet Nam war. This video has a very special meaning for me.
You and your family have given alot for our country and our people. Thank you sir
@@wordword6039 Thank you very much.
This is inspiring, thank you
Thank you, and I think as Americans, we owe our independence to France. Good allies!
@@TheRealDonLayton We do! France ensured our freedom from England!
Thanks so much, Francois, very kind of you.
What a wonderful and respectful way to thank and honour so many who gave so much.
My dad was at Iwo Jima. Tears in my eyes at your tribute. Semper Fi Gene, RIP
My respect for your family. Greetings from Mexico City.
We are sorry for your loss and are so grateful to all those who gave their lives
My Dad was among those men who stayed gone from home all of those years. He was one of the fortunate who did come home. So many did not. Thank you for this. We miss them, but look forward to being reunited in God's time.
Well said
This a beautiful tribute and very well done.
@barrytucker1561 Yes they were! Your friend was a hero. My respect to both of you.
Thank you for sharing that. Brian
Well written sir
Amen, Sir! Same here. My Dad fought aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex in the Pacific during WWII. I salute them all and miss them greatly. Marshall in Oklahoma
The greatest generation!
I come from the Netherlands and have always lived in freedom. The reason? By the heroes from America, Canada, France, England and more countries who made sure that people like me got the best gift anyone could get... FREEDOM... thank you for your sacrifice and heroism. This song made me cry.
@@ruudversteege2868 Thank you from the USA. We love you 😘
My Dad's eyesight was too bad for active combat, but he was stationed on a Navy boat in the Pacific theater. They were called to do recognizance in Nagasaki a week after the bomb dropped. Dad lost a lung upon returning to the U.S., but lived to 88 with one lung. Love you Daddy, and honor your service! ❤
Im so proud of my dad, he was in WWII and Korea. It was a time of great sacrifice by REAL MEN. Its a shame there is so few left today.
What beautiful significance, truly special
Thank you for doing this song. My father fought in WWII and was one of those brave men that landed on Omaha Beach. He was drafted at a young age. It's heartwarming seeing young people like you three paying honor to those who fought and died for their country.
My Dad was in India and China, my husband’s Dad at Pearl Harbor. Their brothers were at Pearl Harbor and European theater, one flew the Hump. Thank you for this tribute to them.
My dad was a WWII Veteran. He was captured in Sicily by the Germans. He spent 18 months as a German POW. This is a beautiful tribute.
They were brave soles, indeed. My father was one of them.
My dad served in that war. He made it home, thank heaven. So many didn't. Brought me to tears.
This Song brings back my father's face. He Served in Korea "The forgotten War" and has since passed. Our Greatest Generation is passing, and I hope our Country remembers them. Love and Miss you Dad.
This really made me miss my dad who fought in WWII along with 3 of my uncles. Thank you to ALL who served
Thank you and God bless you.
Very nicely done. I was born in 1952. My father served in WW2. His cousin was a paratrooper captured by the German's on D-Day. I love your music. Very few are left. I still have my father's WW2 veteran hat. Thank you for this tribute.
I'm a veteran from the Navy. I served in the 1980's made an appearance at Granada and another one at Lebanon. Thank you. Very much.
My beloved father and my uncle both served in the army during WWII. My uncle survived the Bataan Death March. I am so proud of their bravery and so very grateful for them!
I am in complete awe...particularly reading one survived that hell.
My father, the late Staff Sgt. Henry A, (Medic Corps) Thanks you. And so do I.
My father served in the Battle of the Bulge. Legion of Merit award. I am so proud of him? Miss him so much.

Thank you

Beautiful my Dad a WWII vet was the good force in my life teaching me to love God and Jesus, thank you.
Thank you for honoring our nation's Veterans with your beautiful singing.
Thank you for honoring all our heroes in such a beautiful way
You can feel their spirits. They are gone for now, never forgotten, one day to be reunited with our loved ones! Beautifully done!

He was 19 when he was given his first assignment at the battle of Peleliu. He was on the front lines. He didn't talk about it until he was in his 90's. I wish I had known at a much younger age. Thank you for this tribute Love you dad..you are my hero. RIP

Lovely tribute to the brave men and women who powered through the war to preserve democracy. Thank you.
