    Can some one tell Karen if you shoot at someone be expecting 1 of to 2 things ...
    1. A shoot out cause you shot at me first be expecting return fire
    2. Cops ( although we know they never do anything depending on the states )
    And 3. Mess with a farmer your gonna learn hell's coming with me to end your power trip

    Title story: I cannot believe that the DA/Prosecutor or whatever the title, didn’t charge with aggravated assault or attempted murder. Any plea should have been for a felony. The loss of the horse would be a tort/civil suit and not necessarily adjudicated at the same time as the attempted murder.

      Actually, it depends on where this story is from. If it is from the US, yes, those actions would have gotten real bad reactions, but I can not see this happening in the US in the first place.

      @@martinwalker9386 The problem is, so many of them want to bring their lifestyle into rural America, ruining the rural lifestyle.
      I was talking about people shooting at people and horses in the middle of a housing development. Yea, you do have people from the city coming to the rural area and thinking they can be John Wayne, but I really do not think that would have them actively trying to murder people over HOA rules. I have heard laws are more laxed in other countries but in America, IF you shoot at a person, even if it is an animal that is killed, it will be a felony at minimum. Discharging a firearm in public would have gotten him jail time even if no one or animal was killed.

    1. never disregard or discard HOA missives. always respond and keep a file showing the history
    2. I forget where I read it, but there is an adage in military strategy about giving your enemy a way out -- seems OP did that, letting the dealer avoid an ugly legal situation

    I'm not buying the first story. First off, if someone without provocation, shoots a horse with a shotgun while someone is riding it in a public place, they are doing more than just jail time. Secondly, I doubt the OP is going to rush a guy who just shot at him. This story just doesn't ring true.

    The dealership got off cheap on that car unwind deal. Their legal fees would have easily cost them more than the new car did and many times more than what they would have made on the sale.

    Blackmail usually implies some kind of financial "compensation" or retribution. This was a straight forward offer to allow the GM & franchise to make restitilutoon. If they hadn't already dold hos old car, they could've just returned it, cancelled the deal & acted like it was an accident (It probably wasn't). Unethical car sales DO happen. I dont think offering the friend a comparable or even slightly better vehicle would be considered as blackmail.

    I don't understand, I never thought seeking justice was the same as seeking revenge. I know they are different, but a lot of people are conflating them as though they are one. Should we not seek justice for the wrongs done to us? Should allow those who harmed us get away with it?

    • @Gr3nadgr3gory
      @Gr3nadgr3gory ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If revenge is just, then there is no difference between the two in my opinion.

    • @DragonCTR
      @DragonCTR ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gr3nadgr3gory what I'm seeing in these stories are that people who are pressing charges, seeking legal system to see what they can do to right a wrong committed against them are calling it revenge. When it is really seeking justice. Revenge is usually frowned upon and viewed negatively, but they did the right thing and saved a lot of people. Like if someone robbed you at gunpoint and you called the police, is that seeking revenge or justice? Because to these writers, they appear to be the same thing.

    • @Gr3nadgr3gory
      @Gr3nadgr3gory ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DragonCTR their revenge was just. Making sure the fuck that robbed you is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law can qualify as revenge as well.

    • @DragonCTR
      @DragonCTR ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps it was, but it's been pounded in my head for decades that seeking revenge is wrong and selfish. Now that I'm trying to unlearn these self-defeating and destructive mentality, I'm seeing people conflating revenge and justice around as though they are one in the same, and it's conflicting with that contradictory discipline.

    • @DragonCTR
      @DragonCTR ปีที่แล้ว

      The point is, if I have a problem separating the two when it's joined like this, then what of others that is against vengeance of any kind, even if it is just. There are people like me who were raised to just take the beatings and let people walk over you. Deny the backbone as it were. I'm not saying don't use it either, just understand people who were raised to followers and obedient stooges may have troubles understanding that some vengeance is okay.
