Definitely remember Kim Richards & Ike Eisenmann in the 70s . They did Disney Films before them it was Kurt Russell & Jodie Foster who did Disney Films. Kim Richards did movies and Tv into the early 80s . I liked her in “Tuff Turf” 1983 with a young James Spader. Kyle Richards also did Tv and movies at the same time. They are sisters and aunts to Paris Hilton (not a good Actor)!!
Just love love these made for TV movies from the 70s-90s . I was a kid in the 70s and the scary movies did scare me then as a kid . Loved the scary movies at Halloween time!! Miss my childhood years. Thanks for this great movie👍👍❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻😊😊🇨🇦🇨🇦
I heard Ike say in an interview that it was pure coincidence. They just look so much alike. Also they didn’t know the other one got cast until they started filming.
Love this creepy little flick. And Richard, Yvette, Ike & Kim really look like a real family! The casting is superb. Surprised they didn't use a Rottweiler or a Doberman since they're much scarier looking than a German Sheppard. I met the director of this film, Curtis Harrington, at a party in Hollywood during the summer of 1986 (I hadn't seen this movie at that time) and he was a really nice Gentleman and told me that in 1967, the producers of the classic film "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" wanted to view Katherine Ross's "rushes" to the thriller Curtis was directing at the time called "Games" (an excellent thriller featuring James Caan and Simone Signoret) and Katherine got the role in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". Curtis is a totally underrated director. He wrote a cool book entitled "Nice Guys Don't work In Hollywood".
Yes, I agree with you. I am surprised, too, that they did not cast a Doberman Pinscher, or a Rottweiler, in this Movie.🤔 I agree with your statement, that the Doberman Pinscher, and the Rottweiler, are much more SCARY-looking, than the German Shepherd.🫣😫😐 Also, the German Shepherds, the Puppy, and the Adult, in this Movie, are GORGEOUS!❤ Anyway, I LOVE the Germ-Shep, DobePins, and Rottie!🥰😎👏👍
I’ve loved this movie since I was a kid. I’m so glad to come across it again. (Though if I were selling any animal and it behaved like that, no way would I let it go with someone it was scared of☺)
Same. A bit dated now but when you are a young kid different situation lol. Still some scary parts like the Bargest's true form and the music was always creepy too!
Richard Crenna features in some of my all time favorite retro horrors like DEATH SHIP and THE EVIL (aka HOUSE OF EVIL), movies I have watched so many times I lost count! Now this one in the same year as The Evil? Never seen this one before. Thank you so much for posting.
A German shepherd as a hound of hell? Beats me. I thought a Pitt Bull was rightfully classified as a true hound of hell. Not something so innocent as an adorable German shepherd puppy!🥲😭
I remember watching this on TV as a freshman in college. I probably should have been studying but decided to watch this instead. It was not a bad made for TV movie.
LOL @ Kim Richards’ character being 10 years old - she’s clearly in her teens here. Putting her in braids with a sailor dress doesn’t change the fact that she’s a teenager.
I forgot all about this movie I saw this when I was a kid back in the '80s scared the absolute crap out of me lol! I remember I used to be so scared of German shepherds when I was little because of this movie lol
I was disturbed by this when my babysitter made me watch this aged 6 Years old. For one I thought I imagined it and no one ever believed this was a film . Just stopped my nightmares from it as it’s not frightening at all now I’m a mature adult
Wow, at 45:00, that is Ken Kercheval, who shot to fame, as Cliff Barnes, J.R. Ewing's, nemesis, on the OUTSTANDING television show, "Dallas," which ran from 1977-1991.👏 I was a HUGE fan, of "Dallas," and the ENTIRE cast!🤗 Great, to see the late Ken Kercheval, in this Movie.😎
This was the Best kind of Stupid; tries to be a horror movie (and it does in some spots), but ultimately winds up unintentionally hilarious; and I'm HERE FOR IT!
So many known actors in this old movie to enjoy such as Richard Crenna, Yvette Mimieux, Kim Richards, Ike Isenman, Ken Kercheval, Lou Frizzell and R.G. Armstrong. I have no idea how old I was when I first saw Devil Dog, but I never tire of watching it. The music is fabulously spooky, and the special effects are very impressive. Acesage was right in how that last line was a good ending, leaving you to wonder the same. No sequel was ever made though which was disappointing as it may have dealt with some of those nine puppies and what kind of dogs they grew up to be.
Knew at least another one had caused havoc based on Mike watching the news and woman interviewing how nextdoor dog made her husband kill three people. When Mike realized he was not alone and then what his son says at the end.... creepy and Martine Beswick was so evil looking as the head satanic mistress that brings Barghest from hell.
1:33:34 He said: Without 10 pups in that litter. Where do you suppose the other nine are? That part is scary. I say, "May God have mercy on their soul."
My evil great uncle named is German Shepherd “ Satan “. Maybe he was inspired by this movie. When it was a puppy it mauled me. I still have the scars and I cringe when I see German Shepherds.
Me too As a kid any scary movie on the Tv gave me nightmares !! That’s what happens growing up with dad and 3 older brothers who liked the scary movies back in the day!! 😊😀👍
8:08:that definitely isn't the lady who got in his car with the scroll,in the space of a few seconds she's aged considerably, what happened to the other woman
I seriously kept going back and compared everything between these two ladies!! 😮😂 Your absolutely right it is not the same woman. The original lady returns though after th dog is found in the street dead.
Ike Eisenmann & Kim Richards were so iconic 1970's. This movie has always been close to my heart. Thanks for sharing it.
Yeah they were in 2 Disney Flims Escape to Witch Mountain and Return From Witch Mountain
Great flick, thanks for the uppload!
Anyone else noticing a background noise of a bong?
Yer I thought it was a pot of boiling pasta 😂
Sounded like a bloody fish tank
Was real annoying.
A witch boiling children in a couldron😂
It was the pure evil boiling 😂
Yes, also sounds like a boiling pot to me... Quite annoying. Love Richard n Yvette!! Creepy dog!!!
Thank you so much for uploading this one...nostalgic ... and 70s horror movies are always a feast
E dos anos 50 também
Crenna :always perfect.

Even skinnydipped in the pool! Not sure Yvette did. Was too quick lol.
Love Richard Crenna and this movie was so good!
Liked him in Rambo

Just love love these made for TV movies from the 70s-90s . I was a kid in the 70s and the scary movies did scare me then as a kid . Loved the scary movies at Halloween time!! Miss my childhood years. Thanks for this great movie👍👍❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻😊😊🇨🇦🇨🇦

TV movies were most definitely the best back in those days and even the sitcoms. Not that many good shows on TV anymore.
I miss the made for tv movies especially the movie of the week ABC, CBS and NBC used to show back in the day!
Same was born sixtys . Yeah but wats the boiling water sound ?it's like a continuous bong hit in the backround thru the entire movie.
ANOTHER WONDERFUL CLASSIC 70'S HORROR MOVIE, THE TRANSFORMATION OF LUCKY WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS
Old movies are so good to see now.
They have always been good to see.
Hope these directors don't find this movie and remake it 😑😠
📺🏆🔥
No I'm 57 and watching it I remember when it came out on TV I was 12 years old
Oh that's so amazing, I guess you enjoy watching it, hope you don't mind me asking where are you located
I was 6 years old in 78 and totally got freaked out by this 🎥 film
You’re absolutely right 💯💯💯💯
I haven't finished watching the movie but so far, am enjoying it.
I just started and yes so far so good 😬😲😁👍
@@joeydddeleon7770so what did you think? I watched this when it aired on Halloween in 1978 as a fourteen-year-old.
So what did you think? Did you enjoy it?
, I enjoyed watching it, it kept me on my toes, scary and full of suspense. I love the movie
This is a very good movie. Cheesy but deliciously spooky!!!
My wife chases cars.
One of those rare movies that kept me wondering what will happen in the end! Good one!
I'm glad this was uploaded here. I think it's really interesting that they cast both Kim and Ike as siblings again. I wonder how that came about.
I heard Ike say in an interview that it was pure coincidence. They just look so much alike. Also they didn’t know the other one got cast until they started filming.

The picture quality is very good and the GSD puppy is adorable!
I was raised on this movie..........secretly loved this movie, I mean every thing in it.......super nice upload... I gotta get this
Great classic. Crenna is always a top actor. Beautiful German Shepherd playing the role as evil pupper.😈🖤
There's another evil dog movie, man's best friend, a rottweiler
Thank you for uploading this gem!
A blast from the past. Thank you for uploading.
One of my favorite made for TV horror flicks. I remember seeing this when it premiered.
Ike Eisenman and Kim Richards from the
Disney Witch Mountain movies.🤠👍
This is a good 1978 Devil Dog horror movie!!
What a classic movie 👍👍👍👍👍
Great movie 🍿 and casts too 👍👍👍👍

Me either for no amount of money . Poor dog . Stupid devil people.
I saw this movie in 1983, I was a teenager, What a good time, It was, Back then.
I grew up watching this back in the day, it was scary but I kept closing and opening my eyes to watch it.

My favorite! I'll show this to the fam on Halloween

😂"UNCLE LEWIS" from "Friday 13 series" selling 😈 👿 🐕 🐶 🌭!
LOL @ Kim Richards’ character being 10 years old - she’s clearly in her teens here. Putting her in braids with a sailor dress doesn’t change the fact that she’s a teenager.
Did Betty(Yvette) really sleep with Giles? R.I.P. Yvette Mimieux. You were so lovely. 😢😢😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔
Better than I expected - thanks!
Final scenes like this are like a showdown at the OK Corral.
I forgot all about this movie I saw this when I was a kid back in the '80s scared the absolute crap out of me lol! I remember I used to be so scared of German shepherds when I was little because of this movie lol
Best movie ever🎉
Colonel Samuel Richard Sam Trautman 🇺🇸🦅✌️👍😊RIP
The way that ol dog is running reminds me of the bionic dog on the Bionic Woman.
An all-time great. I guess the part where they checked under Ladys tail got cut. Too bad.
Those kids were in so many Disney movies, crazy stuff
@johnnyradd19 "Witch" movies were they?😁
Haven't seen this since it first was shown back then! Nice upload.
Thank you very much!❤

Gen X training
So many familiar faces. Two people were in The Car the year prior, and two in The Snow Beast... such craptastic times 👍
I was 2 year old when this came out , but was old enough later to watch this. Its a good movie 🍿🎥

1:33:33 The Question he asked and the music playing afterwards really gave me chills. 😮😮😮😮
You don't see big Station wagon cars like that any more. I saw this movie when it first came out.
Remembered watching this when I was in my early teens.
A really good horror movie
This was a decent movie. Love Richard Crenna xx
This was the Best kind of Stupid; tries to be a horror movie (and it does in some spots), but ultimately winds up unintentionally hilarious; and I'm HERE FOR IT!

that dog reminds me as skipper my grandmother had that dog years ago and now he died rest in peace skipper
Blue stationwagon with simulated wood panelling, kid in the neighborhoods mom had one in the 70s - she could fit about a dozen kids in that car! 👍
Ohhhhh! Just look at them silly ol dogs!
This movie would be so awesome if they didn't have a boiling water sound track in the background. 😂
thought it was just me. Sounds like coffee percolating or someone boiling potatoes on stove lol
I know right?! What is that? 😂😂
Tt@@kindspirit7
I found it highly distracting. Thought maybe I'd left Prince Of Darkness playing in the next room!
I know! I thought it was the Mom boiling water in the kitchen the whole time!😂😂😂😂😂
Enjoyed this flick for sure
1:33:34 He said: Without 10 pups in that litter. Where do you suppose the other nine are?
That part is scary. I say, "May God have mercy on their soul."
Good Question and Yes🙏🙏🙏
There was only one beast........
This terrified me as a kid.
Great Movie keep you on your feet
Great classic movie.👌♥️
This movie scared me so much as a kid.
I had to go to charter hospital over it.
I haven't seen this tv movie in a long, long, long time! Until now.
That final dialoge creeps me out. "Where do you suppose the other 9 are?"
I was 10 when I saw this and the dog was scary but looking at it now, I've seen better snarls acting like I was gonna take my chihuahua's bone away.
I like this movie hope you love it too, and hope you don't mind asking where are you located
They could probably make semi-sequels/reboots from that line today.
Love this movie! But commercials every five minutes is really annoying
Another great movie, something similar to this, CUJO, it’s a very good suspense film, very Realistic, take care everyone.
My evil great uncle named is German Shepherd “ Satan “. Maybe he was inspired by this movie. When it was a puppy it mauled me. I still have the scars and I cringe when I see German Shepherds.
Great movie
My first time seeing this was 1984
The background music was scary
underrated good bad flick. I would love to see this with the new cast of MST3K
Remember being scared of this movie as a kid😳😂😂

I have noticed that there were many horror, especially evil, TV movies in the 1970s.
And some very creepy ones. Anyone remember the original "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark"?
2024, still more horror movies 😅
aah childhood memories
