No, because during this time period Dobermans and German Shepherds were the vicious dogs or rather there was a stigma about those breeds at this time. There were other movies at this time that featured Dobermans as the aggressive villains.

There lots of reasons for that 1.since they weren't the "bad dogs" at the time there was no reason to have a "pitbull" being bad despite what anti pitbull people claim 2.since dobermans are already in the film with one being in the poster to advertise the film and with being seen as the bad dogs at the time there was no reason to have pit attacking people

As the man (Gen 1:26-28) KJV, a husband (Gen 2:21-25) and a father (Gen 3:16, the minister of God (Rom 13), teacher (Eph 4) and one of the survivors who was bullied in school, it allows hurts me when I am informed of the damage and destruction they do to so many lives. i always wondered how the dog trainers in these kinds of movies always managed to keep the dogs from going beyond what must be to them, just playing. seems to me like there's a chance they could get carried away with their pretend aggression, their natural instincts would kick in, and then they would start to actually attack the actors or stunt--men or whom ever. not so sure i would ever want to act in a movie in a scene where dogs are seemingly attacking me.
watchable. you can tell this was a 1970`s movie. what type of cop runs away and doesnt use his gun. haha. Id love to see a remake of this movie made now... it could be more realistic and good special effects. this movie was still watchable, but tongue in cheek from ignorance in the movie...
