- It's another gorgeous spring walk today around the amazing Hampstead. My dream place to live (for now anyway). Come with me to visit all the cute stores and places to eat, then a nose around the side street and beautiful architecture. Finally up to Hampstead Heath for the iconic view!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I lived in Hampstead for 6 years in the early 70s in a hospital residence, so I was very lucky, very cheap rent in one of THE loveliest areas , in between Primrose Hill and Hampstead. Lots of great walks, great pubs, great boutiques, So yeah, lots of fun to keep you company, from Vancouver 😊
Last of the summer wine was a brilliant, funny beautiful tv series. One of my favourites of all time.

London has a special place in my heart,was there for the first time in 06,my favorite city.
I didn't get to Hampstead when I was living in London in 2009 and missed Hampstead Heath, it's definitely on my list for if I ever get back! Looks so quaint and pretty.
I’d love to live there. Dreamy houses! Almost rural, but yet quite close to London. 🤩

Hampstead is an underground station, the deepest on the London Underground system so in London rather than "near"
@@Claudia_K. - of course - it’s a lovely area - I prefer Wimbledon & Cheam myself (I live in Cheam) - and the address is actually Cheam, Surrey but it’s actually a London borough called SUTTON & Cheam - very confusing I’m sure - and all about 15 mins away from Victoria & Westminster (very central). ❤️❤️❤️ so glad you love Blighty as much as I do - my second love is The Cotswolds 🥰🥰🥰 very Miss Marple - but wonderful

Hannah, nicely done as always. Yea, Hampstead to me is like something out of a David Copperfield novel. The architecture definitely gives the area a small town feel. So now I want to live in Hamstead! And why is it socially unacceptable to knock on doors and ask for a tour of these houses 😂 I want to see inside, I imagine they’re full of books, leather armchairs and old creaky floorboards 🥺
You can! Once a year there's an open house scheme where people literally open their houses to visitors! Usually these are owners of historic homes, interior decorators, architects who've done something clever with a tricky old home or gardeners who've created a magical oasis in a small back garden. Search for the website online and see if you need to register your interest/book tickets or a pass. I'm the exact same as you-- I bet you LOOOOOOVE it when people have their lights on and curtains open at night so you can walk past really slowly and enjoy their little curated domestic haven ;D. I love looking around people's houses, onilne and in person. Have you been to Denis Severs House? DEFINITELY book and go, really incredible. Then the Linley Sambourne house. A day of historic house snooping! Have fun!

THE WAY LONDON JUST HAS A *GRIP* ON ME
Enjoyed a leisurely walk with you around Hampstead and to a picnic on Parliament Hill on a lovely sunny Spring Day. It's literally been years since I last visited Hampstead, it looks like not much has changed. In winter, there was an enjoyable fun-fair on the Heath, not quite so mega as Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Stunning and beautiful, that's not only Hampstead..😉 How was the BLT ? See you next week !

I actually did a walking tour around Hampstead about 3 years ago (in a heatwave) and got lots of history and info on which celebs live/or used to live in which houses. I think we only paid about £10 each and it lasted two and a half hours, it was well worth it. Then we hit those cafes and browsed the shops before climbing up Parliament Hill.

Great video Hannah! You need to have days off during the week more often... thoroughly enjoyed seeing London when there's less people about. Allows you to see the stores and, as you say, the architecture more better. Also, love your music choice, too. Have a good weekend! 'Til next time.

I live in Melbourne Australia, and I loved ,loved this one. I grew up here, ( Belsize park)- Did my nursing training at The Royal free and most weekends on the heath. Thank you so much , so many memories. I need to come and visit. . You should be remunerated by the tourist board for encouraging people to viisit London

I lived in that area for 3 months in I think 1976 in a rental flat/room in house on Greenaway Gardens. I was a student at the time and just loved the area.This brings back fond memories of Hampstead Heath.
