Over 20 years ago I had a car accident in the early morning on an empty road. A middle aged guy stopped, seemingly to help, but there wasn't really anything to do. The car was completely crashed, I was mildly injured but I had already managed to get out and call emergency services. When they came he left and I thanked him for trying to help. Well, this man stalked me for almost 2 years. Some people really prey on people in such a vulnerable situation. This case has always haunted me.

I learned about Maura's case in 2010 when my aunt went missing after a minor car accident. I was searching key words about my aunt's case and ran across Maura's. 18 months after she disappeared her partial remains were found. Though sad, at least we knew where she was
I couldn't imagine TWENTY years of not knowing. What the Murray family has gone through is absolutely heartbreaking!
I've followed Maura's case since my aunt's, and it blows my mind that there really isn't any movement or discoveries. I'm so glad they have love and support, and I will always send them thoughts of positivity. Bless them, and may they find answers. The Murray's are a beautiful family and I wish them hope in despair, love in loss, strength during weak times.

Hi Julie, bless you and your family. As somebody who works in suicide prevention, I would just encourage you to understand that people rarely discuss suicidal ideation with family, and the planning is loose and fluid. I have a family whose daughter died by suicide on the GGB and had a car full of groceries for the week. If you look at Madison Holleran, you can get an idea of a highly respected athlete.
Please don’t misunderstand my intent. My heart breaks for your family, and I think you are right about foul play. I just don’t want people to misunderstand precursors to suicide. It’s a very complicated thing. ❤

I’ve been a true crime consumer for as long as I can remember. I also have some personal experience with true crime in my life my first cousin went missing during a winter when I was in HS and his body was later found in the summer, when I was in kindergarten my father was an attempted murder victim (he was having an affair with a married woman) and in 2019 my sister in law was an attempted murder victim (a DV situation). With that being said Kendall (and Josh and team😊) is one of the few creators I support because your compassion and empathy for victims and families is truly un matched.
Maura’s case is one of those that has always stuck with me. I think of Maura often and hope that one day the family will get answers. I really enjoyed listening to Julie she came off as so well spoken, kind and intelligent.

I wanted to comment about the windshield, I worked in EMS and my husband is a firefighter, looking at that crack in her windshield, we both agree it's not from a head impact. There is a very specific (we call it a starburst) pattern that a head hitting a windshield will leave.

I love how her sister made her human talked about her accomplishments, as well as her flaws. Most times when you listen to true crime stories you hear that the victim was pure as snow with a world full of friends, and never done anything wrong in life.

listening to Julie describe her childhood, as someone from Mass as well I was shocked by just how similar our families were and that hit me hard... it's always so important to talk about the victim's life and not just their case. Sending all my love!

40:19 - Hearing that Maura was struggling in school, then chose to shoplift from the school even though she had the money & had no prior history of theft - my gut instinct, before Julie just said the same thing, was that she subconsciously wanted to leave school, but needed it not to be her decision. It was a form of self-sabotage.

I absolutely love Julie ; she’s absolutely amazing and such a huge advocate for Maura. Her drive and her willingness to do everything possible to find Maura is beyond inspiring. I thought I knew a lot about Maura’s case, but for some reason I didn’t know they waited over 36 hours to conduct a search !! That’s absolutely mind blowing and beyond ridiculous. People ask, if you could pick one case you would love to see solved , which one would you want to see solved ? I always answer with, “the disappearance of Maura” is my first choice”. I truly hope her family will finally get some answers someday soon ! The family (and Maura ) deserve to know what happened. Sending love and my deepest condolences and I truly hope one day the family can finally get some closure. ❤❤❤❤ I’m so very happy to see that there are billboards in the area (and surrounding areas) of where I live that have Maura on it !! Any exposure is definitely a huge help. You never know who might see it and remember something that could make a big difference or even something that could help the case. Whoever has any kind of information about Maura , big or small could make a huge difference. I hope if someone does have any information they will have the courage to come forward. ❤❤

I’m glad Julie replied “well I don’t have a choice” when she was told you don’t know how she does it. That’s always my thought when someone says that to someone who has gone through something horrible. What else is there to do?

Julie I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about your dad. They said he was searching one weekend and walked into a restaurant. They said he was covered in ticks. Your father is a earth angel! Also they said the searchers would be in the restaurant and because your dad was so appreciative he would buy their dinner. We should be sending money just to make up for his kindness. God Bless your family. Vicki Harrison from Oregon.❤

To answer her question about why someone would want to cover a solved case, I can say since I started learning about solved cases in the last few years from true crime creators, I have realized how much more careful and aware I need to be. I was the type to go to Walmart at 11:30pm without a care in the world, my headphones in, not thinking anything bad could happen. If someone knocked at my door at night, I would open it without even looking through the peephole. My boyfriend was so worried about me and I thought he was being ridiculous. But being able to listen to these stories and understand the reality of the world and that there are bad people with bad intentions who can do things that make no sense to the rest of us, really helped me to change my habits and viewpoint.

I've been listening to Media Pressure and it's definitely caused me to rethink some things about the case for example: Maura packed up her room. I assumed she did it because she knew she wasn't coming back but hearing that she never really unpacked her stuff to begin with kind of makes me think differently about what her intentions were.
