Thanks for this great review.I recently bought this stove from Costco for $16, except mine is butane only. I was afraid it was junk, and I have not actually tried it yet. Your video convinced me to keep the thing. After all...for $16! BTW, I actually like the Spam with a crust, just like you did it. Looks delicious. Also, I love that you are spending time in the great outdoors with your son. He will remember these days long after you're gone. It's what a good dad does.
They are some good stoves. I wanted to get a dual fuel because butane wont work when its really cold out. So I use the propane. Hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful night my friend.
Our one single burner gas stove is amazing. We bought ours at the Asian market. Purchased canister, separately. Love fried spam!!!

This is my 3rd cassette style stove I own. I literally unboxed it and was shocked by how cheap the grate feels I broke one of the welds just by squeezing it.

I just purchased the same stove for $20 at the swap meet. I got two stove and the best part is the is Butane & propane
Great stove but remember don't leave propane attatched to regulator hose and purge the pressure from the line because that regulator hose will fail on you if not

Now the only improvement to this stove is a Stainless Steel drip tray instead of the black enamel steel, magnetic lock / auto eject for the Butane canister instead of the old lever design and the single AA battery operated continous starter for when the flame do go out in sudden high winds.....
The only thing is it's kindof thin materials don't think it would fair well against a drop. I know they have other models which are more premium but they don't have 15k output. Iwatanis and koveas are really nice but they can only do butane
I've had a couple of those. Not bad stoves. They do go through the gas bottles pretty fast though.

I thought about getting a dual burner, but I said a single burner would be fine. It also takes up less space as well. I will have to see how fast it uses the propane bottle. Just but a 1lb to 20lb propane tank adapter hose and you can save a lot of money on buying propane canisters . Make sure it's the one that fits the canisters , works on portable Gas grills also , my Weber Go Anywhere Gas Grill and my Q1200 !
We make spam grilled cheese when we camp. It's a favorite with our family.

Not a bad stove but if you use the propane hose and fish through the hole, I'd put some type of bushing around the inside of the hole to protect the hose from getting cut.

I have the Coleman model that's only works with canister. It's possible to find just this hose with the adapter to use butane in my Coleman?
I just bought a butane canister for this stove. Is this safe? Or should I return for propane?
I only use the propane on this stove. I could use the butane, but it wont work in cold temps. So I just use the propane. It should be safe. Just make sure it's the Gasone butane. Hope I helped you with your question. Have a wonderful evening my friend.

Hello. Good video. Does every one of these gas one stoves have the thread for the adapter hose inside where the connector is for 1 lb and 20 lb canisters? I've been looking and could not find a definitive answer.

Great Video on the stove my friend! I was looking at the exact same stove on Amazon, and was reading the reviews I noticed quite of but of people were having issues with the regulator springing a leak. Have you had any issues with yours?
I haven’t had an issue with mine.
Got mine from the Asian Grocer and bought an extra 6-pk case of butane. SCARED TO USE IT!😰. Hoping your video gives me the oomph to break it in and rid me of my fear of BLOWING UP!😜

.....and that's why I use a proper kettle and not a billy because the billy always burns you!
Do you think butane last longer per 8oz can compared to propane with the same amount?

Do I have to use a Gas One propane as well? I have to take back my butane from Lowe's. I hate them for this. :(
You can use regular propane and butane if you have the dual fuel stove. If you only have a butane stove, you can't use propane. Did I answer that ok?
@@BackroadFreedom Well, mine is the gs 2000p model. I tried to start it with Lowe's butane but it doesn't have the notch on canister. I then saw on another vid some guy saying you can only use Gas One brand. What a racket they've got going on!
Since you mentioned that I think I did see if you was to use butane on the Gas One Stove you would have to use Gas One brand butane and I agree that part sucks. Since my stove is a dual fuel my plan was to just use propane. I can use the Coleman propane canisters or any propane with it. Plus I can use propane in colder temps when butane doesn't work.

Use the case as shield
Anyone hook their stove up to a bulk propane tank (11 or 20 pound)? I’m looking to cook and heat (Buddy heater) at the same time.

You need cast iron to cook that hot or stainless steel skillet. The coated crappy skillet at that heat level leaks tons of chemicals into your food. Just saying.
