    This is the BEST video I have seen on TH-cam. I lived in Denver for 4 months and loved it. I'm going to be moving back but I don't really know locations very well. I love how you introduce different locations and places to go. New subscriber here!

    Cant wait to move. Currently saving to move. Maybe in another 2-3 years. Hopefully less but as a single guy, would you reccomend Denver or west colorado Springs area or somewhere else?

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for watching! I think both of those areas are great to consider - Colorado Springs is usually a bit better on the affordability side, but that also depends on what type of work you’re doing and if a job would pay better in Denver versus the Springs.
      Where do you call home now?

    I hate living in Denver but my union is there. Denver is basically part of the Midwest. I hate the flat forestless Midwest. It's so much better up in the mountains

    I was going to move to Glendale originally but then was researching the crime out there and decided on Centennial. Really liked the area, extremely affordable, but didn't like the statistic of being a 1/5 chance of property crime. What are your thoughts on this?

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’ve heard that statistic voiced from friends and clients - but strictly my opinion - Glendale is a very small area and pretty dense in population, so it would make sense that the per capita stats would seem high. The people I know that live in the community or right on its outskirts tend to really enjoy it, for what it’s worth.

      Live in Denver for lots of year and very little crime there!!! Centennial worse but don't think either have much violence!!! Capitol hill worse than either

  • @DENVEROUTDOORMAN
    @DENVEROUTDOORMAN 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I lived in Cap Hill but more violence there and in LoDO than other parts of Denver

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      LoDo has had a lot of issues lately that I know the city wants to crack down on. Cap Hill has had it's issues, especially during the pandemic, but the friends and clients I have living there rave about it.

    I am a Denver native recently moved to Colorado Springs/ oh my God the air in Colorado Springs is so fresh and crisp Love it
    Colorado has to be the hardest state to date in🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
    So I just gave it up besides
    I'm getting old and Can’t play these silly games
    Being single is just fine plenty of things to do and you get to have your way all the time!

      I can certainly relate to some of your thoughts of independence and being able to do whatever we want, whenever we want! How are you liking Colorado Springs? I really like some of the things happening down there!!

      @@destinationdenvercolorado I love Colorado I feel very privileged that I can even live here
      I have to say it's difficult making friends
      And since Colorado Springs is a military city seems like every time I get to know someone they get transferred!

    For Viewers... Gleandale and the Leetsdale Drive area ARE NOT IN DENVER COUNTY, It is it's own County. Good luck.

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  ปีที่แล้ว

      Forgive me - but I’m confused by your statement. Glendale is part of Arapahoe County, not it’s own independent county.

    • @FeileCase
      @FeileCase ปีที่แล้ว

      That is Arapahoe County and still means it's still not in Denver County. Which means it's not in Denver. If you're restricted to living in Denver County then that is not Denver County.

    Glendale is great but not as many bars as they used to have

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glendale was surprisingly popular when I spoke to people but I can see that there has been a dip in bars to hit up.

    Lodo is not 5 points but both can be violent at night

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really appreciate all the feedback! - I just combined them for the sake of covering both areas and they are just a quick drive from one to the other, so people bounce back and forth. As far as violence, the city certainly has pockets where things can get dicey so I always encourage people to be aware of their surroundings. Personally I think that this is going to be the the case in most major city - the more people you have the more crime tends to follow.

      @@destinationdenvercolorado I grew up in Denver it was paradise to grow up there in the 70's and 80's when you could go camping on a whim without a reservation, and the space between suburbs was farmland and country. Everyone I grew up with including myself has gone now it saddens me to see what it has become. So lots of people share my opinion.
