As a ex bmw mechanic of 40yrs I can honestly say, the Tesla I bought 3 years ago, has cost me 4 new tyres and 20 ltr of screen wash ! Nothing else, at 50,000 miles now😮
And the indicators Still don't work as you drive out of the dealership...😂😂😂😂
Yeah and they make it so you can't even fix it yourself or sometimes even a mechanic can't.
With Tesla there is not much maintenance, until you have to buy that new $25k battery.
My single use anecdotal input is that in 5 years, I have put only tires on my S. No oil changes, no air cleaners, no belts, no transmission service, not even brakes (which are still more than half there at 80K miles. Pretty much plug and play. The only problem I had was door latches which were repaired no charge.
Stop reposting this nonsense. Oil changes run $50 at Jiffylube so its not a big deal. Tesla maintenance is unknown and possibly catastrophic.
I'm on my second Tesla in 11 years and I've spent zero dollars on maintenance. I had the first one for 7 years. It was running great. The only reason I upgraded was to get the autopilot.

I agree with you on the maintenance, dealerships and the auto makers are criminals. If you don’t adhere to the very pricey maintenance schedule the so called warranty is voided. What a racket, I absolutely hate dealerships, it’s a good thing that I can do all the maintenance myself, unfortunately that’s not the case for most people. Get rid of the dealerships, we don’t need another middle man.
I agree 100%. However it is nice to have dealerships nearby if your EV has a maintenance issue. Tesla service centers are 80 miles away from most people and their mobile mechanics will not come to everyone's home. So, dealerships do rip people off by selling dirty ICE cars that require expensive maintenance but Tesla has far too few maintenance facilities so it will be a nightmare if your Tesla has a repair issue.

Not true. Do the maintenance yourself and keep a log and receipt for parts, oil, etc. This does not void the warranty. Tesla maintenance costs are reflected in Hertz Decision to get rid of Teslas.

I had a Mercedes 300d for 29 years. I sold it with 391K miles, still cranking easily and running strong. Never any trouble with the motor, just with all the stuff connected to it, like the entire rest of the car. Loved the car. Hated the maintenance requirements. Been driving a trouble free Toyota for the past seven years. What a relief.
As reliable as Toyotas are you still have to put 10’s of thousands of dollars of gas and oil in them to get to their impressive high mileage stats. With teslas we do a full fill for $10 off peak at home 90% of the time.

@@timothykeith1367 plenty of 10yr old high mileage model S around.. Toyotas are great for reliability but are SAF and boring. Add up your gas and oil change payments over 100k miles. It’s not the awesome deal u think it is even if it’s paid off. The Tesla LFP battery’s will outlast any Toyota ever made.
Yeah unfortunately a new Mercedes won’t do that.
Couple of informed observations to relay here:
1. The only Tesla model that has 6-10 year cost data is the model S. And we know that performance cars are always going to be more costly to maintain, partly because if the way they are driven. Also, the famous easy-to-break model S door handles
2. If this data were compiled by miles driven instead of years of ownership, the numbers would look even more favorable to Tesla as we KNOW that Tesla cars have higher miles driven than ICE cars of the same age. I dare you to find an ICE car that is under 10 years old with 500k miles on it.
3. The years 1-5 costs are a better comparison since that includes models 3 and Y. And there you can see that Tesla is about 50% less than the next best brand
The cost listed for the first 3 years is likely the price of tires for the performance cars alone.
When consumer reports criticizes Tesla they don’t know what they are doing, when they praise Tesla they are the gold standard. That being said our M3 with 20k miles, 0 maintenance costs. Our former 2019 Nissan Leaf after 64k miles and 4 years, 0 maintenance cost. In line with Consumer Reports predictions.
My bww 5 series. $500 every month. Always something else. I came from a Honda civic and was appalled.

4 Tires cost $1000 average. How often does EV change its tire? Every 20,000, 40,000 miles?
I changed rear ones on my Tesla Model 3 at 60000 km. Front ones are still original ones and it’s 69000 km on odometer.
I love how consumer reports come out and say EVs are the least reliable vehicles , and now they are saying they have the lowest cost of ownership over 10 years . If you plan to buy and hold an EV, then depreciation doesn't matter to you . And the fuel costs saving and maintenance savings add up over time

@cardboardboification electric vehicles are said to last 10 to 20 years . Rates of discharge, heat. Resting states of charges all have an effect on the longevity of the battery . With heavy use and extreme hot climates 8 to 12 years . Battery replacements can cost anywhere from 6 grand to 20,000 . That's parts and labor included

Depreciation is not real. When you buy a car, you drive it for 20+ years, then it goes to the recycler. You never sell it.
@@davidbeppler3032 that is true. Cars dont appreciate ever and only depreciates although at different levels. I seen that cheaper the car the less it depriciates though since its already cheap so not much to depriciate. 15% dep of a 20K car is much less then 15% of a 40K car
EV depreciation will soon be so a 2020 to 2024 thing. Yes, EV prices have come down, hurting the used car market. But this is a good thing for everyone except sellers on the used car market. As EV prices stabilize over the next couple of years, I suspect that the average EV will hold its value far better than the average ICE. Why? Because the new batteries have incredible longevity. And with hundreds and hundreds of less moving parts, there is way less that can go wrong.
@@Tom-dt4ic A $ 150,000 Porsche 911 will depreciate as soon as you drive it out of the dealer showroom by about 25% and sell it for $ 112,500 to a third party. More expensive cars tend to lose a higher percentage in depreciation in the first 3 years or so.

@@andreasl4507 Lol ...I traded my 2019 Audi A4 45TFSI for a 2023 Tesla model 3 RWD - the Tesla is a monumentally better ownership and driving experience than the Audi.
I spent (AUD) $26,900 on fuel, tyres, services and brakes over 3 1/2 years and 80,000km on th Audit, it cost me $81,900 new and I sold it (in immaculate condition) for $42,900.
After 12 months and 27,000km my Model 3 has set me back $260 in fuel, $0 on services, $0 tyres & brakes (both of which last longer and are cheaper than the Audi) and my insurance is 20% cheaper and the whole car cost me $58,900 after rebates.
I'd swap again in a heartbeat even if the Audi was cheaper.
$3000 for a SERVICE? Or was that for repairs done because you hadn't been DOING your maintenance?

@@andreasl4507Not a downgrade at all. One you’ve driven cars like that. The ongoing costs sucks the joy out of them. Especially in the performance models. I love driving our Teslas. So far haven’t cost a cent except for tyres which have lasted much longer than they did on the German cars with similar performance.
ICE cars I've owned had the headache of service, some with exorbitant bills even in early life. Tesla M3 RWD has been a dream in comparison for the first 3 years. So easy.
I've had my Model 3 just over 6 months now. So far, I've had to pay nothing for maintenance. In my previous ICE car I would have had to pay for 2 oil changes already. So, there's truth to Consumer Reports' study.
Obviously can't be true, when Hertz has made clear Tesla has been much more expensive for them to own than other brands. Repairs were especially expensive and for regular owners, Tesla insurance can be double what an ICE car insurance costs.
I love my Tesla but this has not been my experience. Since I have to take the car to Tesla to fix most things the price tag is very high. I’m not sure if someone is cooking the numbers or what is going on here
My father worked in the electronics industry for four decades. Electrical equipment is in no way maintenance free.
Whats going on here is the tesla owners are always lying about their costs.
Tesla is working on a new battery where they are trying to remove as much copper out of the car as they can to lower the price on the cars.It's expected there will be a copper shortage by 2026.
It's not Tesla it's EVs. EVs don't need the same extended care as fossil fuel run machines. Electric motors run 24/7 for years .. Cars don't and most if not all can't... Tesla can't claim this for long. As soon as others are out there for 10 years they too will show the same if not better results.
About 35k miles in 4 years, no maintenance except tire rotation twice. Love the car.
It has always been that US and Asian brands are cheaper to maintain because they use more standard and simplistic parts. Tesla is probably just a continuation of that
I've spent a total of $130 for fixes for my Model X bought in Dec 2018. Charging costs for entire home (including car) average $150/mo. Crazy. Compare this to the $1,000 i just spent to 'service' my wife's Lexus RX350 (new rear brakes, transmission flush & oil change).
My coworker did no maintenance on her Tesla in the 2 years she bought it. I had to tell her about the tire rotation, changing the cabin filter, changing the wipers, etc. I showed her how to use the app.
You don’t need to do anything in 2 years. Filters may be, if you acrew a huge mileage. Tyre rotation is non essential.
Must not include broken S door handles. On my 4th broken handle.

You don't understand the industry. If vehicles are not serviced, the dealer network only has revenue from sales. The current system allows the car companies & dealer networks to share warranty claims. Without dealer networks, there is no backup support for part & breakdowns.
Because you are thinking that a factory authorized service center only happens where they sell new cars.
The VW id 3 came with 5 years or 100.000 km free service.
This outlasts the warranty. So my 3,5 years and 142000 km of owning a VW id.3 has cost me 0 $ apart from tires and windshield washer fluid (and it does wear the rear tires a lot).
Now my almost 5 year 90000 km Model 3 has cost med $80 repairing the contact for the trunk and now the lower half of the sills now needs repainting due to paint flaking off.... that will be $400.
So very cheap though the flaking paint is a Tesla only thing. Had many cars - none - zero - null have had flaking paint.
I have owned my 2016 model X for 8 years 5 months. I have never had it serviced. It’s a better car today than when I bought it. 12 mile loss in range. Best car I have ever owned.
My BMW X5M, Aston Martin, Maserati, 2 Mercedes and A7 all drain my bank account. I love to look at them and hate to maintain them. It’s getting old..
Love your channel. My wife drives a 2019 Land Rover. The 50,000-mile service was 2700 dollars. My 2019 Tesla Model X service for the last 2 years has been Zero! Telsa is incredible, and I will NEVER drive/buy another gas car/truck again. It is funny my wife hates my Tesla.
A Land Rover is nice to drive and has plenty of space, but as you say and the data shows they are a money pit when it comes to maintenance and repairs. Your wife has expensive taste, does she pay for the maintenance and repairs of her Land Rover or does she use your credit card??? hahahahahaha

One major cost not mentioned is depreciation. If unfortunately you bought a 2yo Y at the end of 2022 when prices were high you're looking at a drop in value of $40k!!! Hopefully that situation won't be repeated.

This is a very good point, especially with lifetime free supercharge. Best purchase I’ve ever made, got rid of Mercedes and BMW because of upkeep. I’m keeping my 2015 model S and hoping to transfer the free supercharging to my next Tesla.
The cost and convenience cannot be understated and we have to compare to the mid to luxury level vehicles also. Can’t compare to a Carrolla, compare it to Jags, BMW’s and Mercedes is such a pain with their routine maintenance. 90k miles and only done tires.
The most I have put on a car is my 2006 Honda Odyssey with 150000 miles and still going. I had to have about 4000k in work after about 8 years - struts, controler arms, starter, and alternator. Add to that all the oil changes and maintenance and I would guess I spent about 6k over 10 years.
Ten year costs must necessarily only include Tesla's earliest models... from when they were learning the auto manufacturing business. So much progress has been made (according to Sandy Munroe and others) that the 'old' costs are probably upper bounds.
I can say for sure that is not the case with my 2014 Model S. It has been rather expensive in repairs. Several things are still not working but I'm refusing to take it to Tesla due to their exorbitant service and repair prices.
It does not surprise me, but car owners of ICE vehicles may not remember all their vehicle expenses over 10 years, and this will skew the data.
More so than cost is the time you save from having to sit and wait for you oil change and maintenance to be done. No surprises like another brake pad replacement or timing belt change during regular checkups. Even my old 2011 Leaf never had regular maintenance.
Sam you're spot on when you say those numbers don't add up. My wife's Honda mini van was dealer maintained from the start. When it crossed 100,000 miles, every other month she needed a repair costing $1,000. It was 7 years old. After putting 5 grand into it, she called it quits and bought a Toyota. She's anti EV, for now. LoL!
Now do it from 10-20 years!

The first Tesla model S was built in 2012, only 12 years ago.
Some of the ICE maintenance may be lower than you expected due to low mileage drivers and people doing their own maintenance on ICE vehicles.
I had a Merc e350 coupe (beautiful car) but for a basic oil change and a couple of filters from Mercedes cost nearly £450
Ask a tesla owner for the cost, not HERTZ news. Many factors went to Hertz and tesla story and the news media blew it up. Every tesla owner I have asked have very little to no maintenance.
Now factor in cost of fuel savings especially if you charge at home.
Servicing is either capped for 5 years or included in the price. You need to have oils & fluids changed as per the manufacturers recommendations. Brakes may not need charging but need to be checked along with the regenerative braking. If you have an accident that involves a major serious injury & theyvfibd something wrong. You could be in for jail time.

This report is on USA cars and costs ..so every one take it with several grains of salt. Of course a EV should have much lower than an ICE.
However these costs show that they are not…so Musk is padding costs.
As a comparison the Toyota BZ4 in au has a 10 yr maintenance of $1800 au , versus a Corolla Cross hybrid is $2500 au ….

Hertz got rid of their electric cars because maintenance was too expensive and look at what happens in a fender bender, your insurance company totals the car. Look at what happened to the Rivian EV truck owner from California two weeks ago. A minor fender bender and his insurance totalled his truck.
Yeah it’s not cheaper in the real world. A friend of mine in Ontario did his research and maintenance for ten years was $10,000 Canadian compared to his Mercedes Benz but his Acura was only $4000 Canadian over ten years compared o the Tesla he was looking at.
Buy Japanese and you won’t have any problems with EVs or German cars.
And Buick and Lincoln are niche cars? What does that make Tesla? Tech groupie status vehicles is what they are. Lincoln and Buick are all over the place like Hondas.
Obviously you have no clue about maintenance of cars if you get rid of your cars so soon. That friend of mine had an Acura mdx with 500,000 kms from new. He only replaced the air suspension in 2022 for the first time and the dealership cost him $1500 Canadian. Maintenance is key.

Hertz got rid of their EV's not because maintenance was too expensive it was because of repair costs (Hertz self insure) repair delays (lost rental) compared to their fleet and the lack of fleet discount offered by Tesla - Hertz are used to 20% fleet discounts and getting decent prices when they sell off oafter 3 years - Tesla said zero discount, take it or leave it, and then proceded to reduce the price - every time Tesla reduced the price of a new car Hertz had to write off millions of dollars of recoverable cost on their fleet.
The cars were very cheap to maintain.

If it will always need to be supervised it isn’t worth 8 k in my opinion. I think a lot of customers will be unhappy when Tesla comes out with autonomous and it isn’t an upgrade to FSD but a separate purchase. If Elon says differently I will pay the 8 k today.

12k miles on my 23 MYP. Service cost to date: $0. I expect it to stay that way till I change the cabin filters myself for $40 or so, and tires at 30K or later. I spent about $100 on car car stuff also. It just doesn't need all that ICE car fluid changes and plenty of more stuff at 50 or 60 K miles
I did get 275k km out of my 86 Volvo GLE wagon before I traded it in for a van to carry more pups. It was my favourite car and it had great seats for long distance travelling.
How many services, at what cost?
I surprised Volkswagen's maintenance cost was as low as it was reported. I owned a 2005 New Beetle TDi that was a nightmare to get serviced or fixed. At 60K miles it developed engine problems that was traced back to a leaky injector that turned out to be a manufacturing defect. After $2000US and 6 weeks of back-and-forth with VW, they refused to cover any of the repair costs. So it got donated to a school that teaches auto mechanics to disadvantaged youth. They looked it over and said that the engine was too expensive to repair so they just used it for parts.
And that was just one of several repairs. VW - never again (especially since I have a 2022 MYP😊)
And this doesn’t include fueling cost. 150,000 miles at 30 mpg & $3/gal = +$15,000 more.
$4000 sounds really high, had my Model 3 for over 2 years and I used this precise formula to calculate my maintenance costs so far... √FA
Imagine a future where a Tesla owner will have the car monitor if you are a safe driver and don't beat on your car, and with that, earn cheaper insurance and MAYBE even a better warranty on the vehicle! I believe some insurance companies have, or used to have, a device you would plug in and it would kind of monitor you and you could earn lower rates, so something similar to that.
It would make total sense given the tech in cars to be able to monitor people who drive far less than others, drive safe, and drive well and charge them less for coverage - right? No brainer with the tech available these days.
If FSD proves to be super safe, it would encourage more and more people to use it also!
My 2 20 year vehichles i never did a dealership seevice . Over 200k miles on one and 160k on the other . They are both base models with no addons . They have manual role up windiws . I thiught the sevice done by dealership seemed a bit high for a lower end vehichle so i did the maintenance mysef . I also did mist reoairs which was minimal . I also dod my own timing belts . It wasnt worth having a mechanic as the cost if them doing it was worth more than the vehicle .
My next car i would like a ev but paying for a new one is out of my price range . Probably a max of $15k . Even finding a used one is dificult at that price . The other problem with todays tech you need software updates and okder vehicles may have discontinued updates . Also doing my own maintenace and repair might be dificult ( heavy cars to jack up and little info on diy ) . I suspect i will have one soneday or thats the hope .
How are the mark downs being recorded? There have been so many book keeping adjustments and fleet dumps into secondary markets the value of existing Teslas have taken so many beatings. My first 3 Tesla's will be robotaxi's, but at this point FSD is more marketing than reality.

hey man. Got a story for you: Tesla model 3 performance from europe (which is probably produced in china) has less power than the us version (460 hp in europe vs 510 in US). 2 possibilities here: 1. They use the old motors (who knows the reason for this). 2. Not sure what is going on with the informaiton - the Australian website claimed 377kw for the old model (505hp) before that page was removed when Highland was released September 1 2023...It now says "All-new high-performance drive units deliver a combined 460 horsepower and 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. Welcome to the most powerful Model 3 ever."
1. We don't use hp in Australia we are metric we only use kw and 2. 460hp is definitely less powerful than 505hp the last time I checked.

If that cost is averaged out for the entire life of the car since new, it could be much more for the consumer that buys only used cars 5 years old + . And keeping those cars as long as possible. The repair bills on gas cars skyrocket in the later stages.
Yep 100% truth my service cost for my model 3 in first 12 months was only 100 bucks with all the free charging too my total is 200 total for the year!! Charging and service cost combined!! I used to pay 2000 a year for my ICE cars per year thats JUST SERVICES!!

In two years all I've bought are two tires and that's because one of them got a nail.
Aside from one minor issue, namely having to replace the rear charging port motor, every other repair has been minor and in warranty, and the cars have been the most reliable we've ever owned. And that includes both of us owning Hondas and Toyotas. I used to think that Lexus was the most reliable brand until I owned a Tesla. Across 6 years in two cars, we have never ever ever been stranded. Ever. That's 12 years of ownership, and I don't know if that can be said of many cars.
After 2.5 years I had changed recently traverse links and uncomfortable springs of my MYLR 2021 MiC for € 1450. Probably the amount for a service with legacy brands...
I had an 2006 Honda Accord with 285k miles that I traded in for $500 and it was missing the rear bumper.

While this is great news, where are all those Tesla owners who claimed their battery replacement cost was more than the car itself?
CR is not accounting for all the defects and recalls you have to deal with Tesla. Tesla is also difficult and expensive to repair if you get into accident . It’s almost impossible to repair Tesla due to the liability issue. Insurance companies is more likely to total a Tesla rather than repairing it. As a result the insurance cost is much higher for Tesla vs any ICE vehicle.

I live in Canada and have a 2014 KIA Soul and 2015 Honda Civic. Both are up to date with routine maintenance. To date both KIA and Honda cars Km's is about the same (within 5,000km) and cost of ownership for KIA is almost double compared to Honda. Both get identical driving and sit beside each other in the driveway. I'm not impressed with KIA.

I’ve recently had 3 fuel injectors fail on my Mk8 Golf, which is just under 3 years old and has less than 20k on the clock.
The repairs were done under warranty, but if history is a guide, they will fail again just outside warranty.
After doing a total cost of ownership analysis over 7 years / 10k km p.a. for 5 similarly sized new ICE and EV sedans in Australia, the largest cost component for all vehicles is depreciation, followed by insurance.
Depreciation on SAIC & BYD EVs is almost double that of Tesla 3 or Y - which is probably more a reflection of how rapidly their purchase prices have dropped than it is about build quality and performance over time.

Even this was not accurate, I don’t think it took into consideration all the things you have to do for a gas car.
I noticed that after 110,000 miles most ICE cars just fall apart one part at a time.
We keep our ICE cars three years and maintenance cost less than $200 per year.
My tesla 101k only tyres and a couple of bushes, i got it serviced by Cleevely EV first time at 90k just out of interest 🤣

Wrong on both counts. People who rent cars don't want to get out of their comfort zone. I would never have rented a Tesla before I owned one - where to charge? Do you need a phone app? Do you have to put your CC on file with Tesla? Do Tesla chargers take CCs? These are reasons people didn't rent them.
@@ohger1 Very creative although inaccurate excuse, the fact is the cost of maintenance and repairs was significantly more than ICE vehicles, the only comfort zone impacted was that of the accountants.
If you buy a used luxury car your asking for it. Passed 50k miles they're time bombs. If your young and thinking about that cheap used BMW dont do it. They should all be scrapped after warranty. Only exception is a Lexus and they breakdown eventually as well.
I'm a total EV convert and own a Mercedes EQA and a Smart fortwo EQ. But I honestly disagree with the 300,000 miles and an ICE car is finished. I've never owned a car that packed up at 300,000 miles! I had a 19.tdi 2001 Passat that I sold "purely for the engine" and it had over 750,000 miles on it. Never used a drop of oil between services either. All my ICE cars were regularly serviced (yes I agree this is a high cost compared to EV) I'd certainly not go back to ICE, especially after seeing the reduction in running costs alone.

Your experience is extraordinarily unusual. The average life of a motor vehicle in miles in the U.S. is 180K miles. I sell EVERY engine and transmission I pull from salvage cars I buy although I sell CVTs for scrap metal with no warranty.
The interior needs more servicing than the suspension and brakes. 😅

Tell that to Hertz and other rental car agencies that complain about the high cost of repairs to Tesla windshields and parts. You better hope your Tesla doesn't get into an accident. Also, with Tesla's torque and hp, you are going to pay more for insurance.

Accident repair costs (repair, time, rental car) are the major factor controlling insurance rates, followed by driver sex and age (increased risk). Torque and hp are not major factors defining what the insurance company will have to spend on accident repairs.
Hertz problem is what owners are complaining about on forums these days… Tesla’s price cuts. Rental car companies rotate their fleets over relatively short periods of time, but the residual values they planned on were vaporized by Tesla price cuts. Combined with issues with customer experience/education (lack of provided by Hertz) when renting EVs made them rethink their strategy a bit.
I tried to rent a Tesla thru Hertz in Italy. I was not able to connect my phone as a key, so I had to use the Tesla card and that really retracts from the experience, because of lack of remote controlling the car. They could at least have provided a key fob. They also required that I returned the car charged above 80%. It doesn’t really make sense because I would have to charge it to +90% at the nearest SuperCharger, and that is often not allowed during peak hours, and not recommended for the Long Range version. I got the feeling that Hertz didn’t really understand what an EV is.
The insurance costs for my Tesla Model 3 LR are no different to my previous Mercedes C class.
@@tibsyy895 The problem for rental companies is that people unfamiliar with Teslas are far more likely to crash them than existing Tesla drivers. The controls, while simple and easy to lear to use still require learning. Also the crazy amount of Toque can be dangerous until you're used to it. These are bigger problems for rental companies than regular owners

The real issues are 1. extremely expensive insurance costs and 2. the costs to repair if it breaks! This cost analysis doesn’t include those costs! Also 3. the costs to replace those super expensive EV tires more FREQUENTLY. Then there is the 4. cost of extreme DEPRECIATION! Finally the cost of TIME wasting on charging on the go and 5. The extreme inconvenience when you can’t even charge properly when it’s cold or. When everyone needs to get to and charge at the same charging station! I considered EV two years ago when every media and government outlets are pushing EV into our throats but these factors just don’t add up.
Funny business on the insurance. More than a few report little or no change. Could be people are going from 100 hp gas cars to 300 and 500 HP EVs. A good insurance company may stiff you for the first year then lower it when you have proved your not an idiot. I hear insuring the Corvette is like that. I have only priced a few Tesla parts. They cybertruck door is about the same as a F150 door. Others say they are generally less than expected or reasonable. That is subjective. Maybe real issue is bias. Accept what you agree with and reject the rest. Works in both directions.
I believe it does. It is 'on average'. Having said that, I can imagine a future where a company like Tesla will have its on board computer literally monitor the way you drive and if you are determined to be a safe driver and not someone beating up your vehicle, then you can earn an 'extended warranty' and 'cheaper insurance'. To me, that would make total sense

Bingo! I drive a 12 year old Mercedes E Class and pay $229/month. I asked my insurance company what the equivalent monthly fee would be for a 2018 Model S I found with 32k miles. They wanted nearly $500 per month!! It was going to be more than my monthly car payment!!

Buick and Lincoln are cars owned by older more experienced and much more likely not to abuse their cars or trucks. Simple answer take care of your car it runs better longer.

Tesla Model Y is a great vehicle entering "production prime" only right now Calender Year 2024. The challenges coming for the rest of the pure play BEV Industry are coming from much smaller vehicles such as the return of the Chevy Bolt or the Rivian R2 lineup for next Year for obvious reasons. Tesla has a lot of work to do to get the rest of their stable equal to or better than the Tesla Model Y but yes, absolutely one way to do this is to provide for a vastly improved initial build experience plus servicing which of course is true of the entire Automotive Industry quite suddenly. China still has a long way to go to prove out pretty much anything at the moment let alone pure play BEV. So does Volkswagen still actually 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
