    Nice! I got the same Modin 1600 sqf for our basement. Question about stairs, did you guys cut the existing bull nose before installing Modin treads?

    Where did you get the steps from? I searched flooret and didn’t see them on the website. Also do you recall the name of the gray paint on your walls? Thank you and great video your house looks great

    Beautiful color… is it on the darker or lighter side? It’s hard to tell because of the lighting. Thank you.

    This makes me happy to see. I was wondering if I could do a large whole home layout with Flooret Modin while avoiding the use of any transition pieces. Looks like the only heavy furniture you have on top of the floor are beds and the dining table. Any issues with the floor not being able to expand properly and planks either becoming disconnected or buckling? Also did you just install your kitchen island right on top of the flooring or is the floor cut out under there? I want to install the flooring under my cabinets and island, I know its always labeled as a big no no with any vinyl floor brand, wondering how risky it really is.

      Mike, why do you want to run it under your cabinets. Is it due to installing new kitchen cabinets? Anyways...it’s really important to follow the manufacturers instructions. If they say don’t do something or do something, then I’d suggest heading their advice. You may void your warranty if you don’t.
      Back to the install...do not put under your cabinets. This is a floating floor, putting it under the cabinets will keep it from being able to expand properly. This product will not buckle or disconnect if installed properly. This is the best LVP product on the market, for a multitude of reasons. They have a great web-site that’s very descriptive.
      You get what you pay for and your getting twice the product with Flooret :Modin Rigid Signature!!

      @@martylucas8557 warranties are basically useless with all vinyl flooring companies anyways, including flooret. if you have trouble with the floor they're going to blame it on installation no matter what, any internet search will show this is the case 99.99% of the time. So install it perfect according to manufacturer recommendations or not, you're still not getting a dime if the floor has issues later. I am aware of the reason why they say do not install on kitchen cabinets, but the reason I question installation under the cabinets is because a bed frame, a heavy dresser in the bedroom, a dining room table, a tv entertainment center, these are all just as heavy as a kitchen cabinet and they are spread throughout house doing their own expansion prevention, some people have incredibly heavy gym equipment in basements on top of vinyl flooring but the only thing ever mentioned is cabinets. I would rather put the floor under the cabinets because it is a much cleaner look then leaving a small cap and caulking it. If someone could explain logically how my extremely heavy bedframe or antique dresser is different than a cabinet then I'd reconsider.

    Hey - considering this but scared about the spc core. How soft of a feel does it have? Considering it for bedroom and playroom areas with kids and dont want a hard feel.

      It's soft and we got used to it quickly. We have a few rugs though to help with cold feet!

    Did you have to put in a moisture barrier or subfloor in the basement? Or a leveling material? Or did you lay it right on the concrete?

    • @kcorbett812
      @kcorbett812  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We laid directly onto the concrete. Its self leveling and our concrete was fairly flat anyway

    Awesome review. Question, have you noticed the floor tearing up your socks, clothes or pet's paws?

    Any issues with the dogs on the stairs? scratches? are they scared to go up and down the stairs because they are a hard surface unlike carpet? Love your floors!

      @@kcorbett812 Do you have the base flooring or signature flooring? I so appreciate your review... I am looking for something to work well with our three dogs (two Goldens!) because our hardwood has been so messed up with claw scratches and gouges. Thanks!!

      @@kellyfodel460 we have signature. The bigger planks were so great to lay and it took no time at all! The extra wear layer too is a huge reason as we have had other flooring types that didn't hold up to our busy family. Good luck with your puppies!!
