As an INTJ, I don’t expect anyone to read my mind to understand my emotions. Nor will I explain them, because explaining myself to simpletons who lack the ability to comprehend is exasperating.

While I agree regarding the many, the few I do associate myself with have the opposite problem: it's really hard to shut me up once I get going and actually care about their ability to understand me.

@@Ibloop "Grudge against INTJs". Lol please explain how you arrived at this funny (and non-cognitivist) conclusion. I just stated a plain fact. The world is indifferent to your personal emotions, people just care about their own. Now, is that too much for you, little snowflake? 😂 I, too, test as INTJ on the Myers Briggs type inventory, so naturally I'd like to make fun of these naive little normie dorks in an identity crisis trying to "behave by the book" wherever I see them. 😂

“If you pull an INTJ out of their solitude, they’ll flop around and probably die.” Is extremely true because I experienced it myself. When working from home I went from the bottom to a team leader in record time after which I switched jobs. New job required to go to the office 3 times a week and no matter how much I struggled I eventually burned out completely and had to quit. Took me 2 whole months of laying in bed just processing everything to feel normal again and now after not leaving my house for 4 months I am happy, unbothered, in my lane, focused, flourishing.

I do love "facts don't care about your feelings" but I have come to realize that also, "feelings influence our interpretation of the facts." Raw stats are only useful if we interpret them correctly, and a lot of people use cognitive biases (aka feelings) to interpret supposed "hard data."

    • @DarkVeghetta
      @DarkVeghetta 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Correct, which is precisely why many studies are invalidated fairly quickly upon deeper analysis. Unfortunately, simply the fact that it's a study holds some weight and often disperses within the wider community before a suitable rebuttal can be formulated. Worse, some rebuttals don't have proper methodology either and boil down to flawed assumptions, so it quickly all slides into the muck of 'I can't trust any of this', then you'd have to do the analysis yourself and it becomes a black hole of time.
This is why it is very important to find trustworthy sources that double check everything before the conclusions are passed down to you. Sadly, there are few such people/organizations and even so, each has their own bias you must account for - which boils down to what biases you can live with and which you can not let slide.

    • @lbjay8914

Literally the only reason I think I'm Christian while being heavily logic focused. You align your feelings right and it all makes sense, then you go to form an argument and it stops making sense. Then you realize you can make other people believe by tuning into their emotions, then you wonder if it's real or if you're manipulating people into thinking what you think is true... AGAIN

How poetic, love it. :D I definitely see myself as a helpless fish whenever I'm sitting together with a group of 4+ people since I'm so busy listening, analyzing and then coming up with a logically fond and morally acceptable response, that I don't find enough time to actually voice anything of that. By the time I constructed a good answer, the group chat has shifted to a new topic already. This consumes a lot of energy and can be frustrating at times. Especially when some people speak with rapid speed and so loudly that you can't hear yourself thinking anymore. 🙄

I don't think that INTJs let others keep guessing for the most part. They are VERY clear about what they want and what not and you'd better listen, because they hate to repeat themselves! They won't play games of hinting at what they want, but straight up tell you no matter how weird it may sound to you. On the other hand, they don't feel the need to explain every little thing about themselves. They don't care if you understand them or not! They know that they'll never understand others to the last detail and that's ok. Everybody is weird in their own way, and when they respect it, you should too!
Similarly, since they need a lot of independence, they will hardly argue against you doing your own thing too. In fact, they probably expect it from you!

Also, even though we INFJs are technically feelers, we also have enough logic to mostly agree with them and understand them on the exact level that they understand us. Also, just like anyone else will, an INTJ will eventually trust an INFJ, or a healthy one at least. INTJs don't need to share their emotions with an INFJ because we can already see and feel their emotions. They can't hide them from us. As an intj, i really like to think of infjs as people we can still rely on to understand us. My father is an infj and while I would never we agree 100% on everything, our views on many aspects are same or similar if not exactly identical and it is comforting to talk to him about a lot of things people usually don’t understand when i tell them.

My main function IN keeps me indoors planning yet the thinking/logic also gets me up to work the plan. I wanted an orchard, i now have an orchard.

11:21 overplanning is so true for me. “Every possibility no matter how big or small is a possibility nevertheless and requires a plan.” That’s my motto for life. Your first and only mistake with an INTJ is underestimating them. We don't trust because we know for a fact what humans are capable of. Truly find yourself and know what you are capable of and everyone else is not that far off. Let that sink in and and now you know why we don't trust you. And another fact for you, if you pulled me out of my solitude i would take over the world just to make sure you never did that to me again.

I had a good laugh, the video touches on many cliches (let's just say I recognize myself at earlier stages in life) but clearly doesn't understand INTJ's. My own job is to handle 10+ different projects/customers at once, always get randomly interrupted and still get work done. I seem to be doing fine at that since I am getting a significant raise every year. Another thing to mention is that I am the one that cleans up all the messes "E" types make, and I do that through diplomacy

Yeah... and to all that you can add depression (probably, because I'm not a professional and I can't diagnose myself, but I'm certain I'll get something the like).
I get exasperated explaining things I just know people aren't going to understand. I dumb down things to the point I feel like they might need to take a full on course to get what I'm saying. So I just give orders with as many details as possible, with people not understanding but somehow doing as I command.
I invest a lot of energy in friendships. I feel like I have to put neon signs to people all the time, but If they don't care about me, I do mope around. Not too much because they didn't deserve that in the first place. Also depression doesn't help a lot. People have a purpose also. Why not?
I do cry a lot, but I also blame the hormones of me being female and PMS. Because science.
I don't trust people. If I do, consider yourself worthy. I'm married to an ENTP. Somehow we work just right. We do excel for everything we plan.
Also I feel like the best all the time, but unworthy at the same time.

3:41 I don't know why but I found this amusing. While I fail to acknowledge sensors for their 'living in the moment' attitude, and often label them as superficial beings, I am the one more likely to be unhappy and renegade my own needs. Still, I fail to be to their liking and they fail to be to mine, none of us being willing to change for better communication. I admit that this rigidity of mine makes me have fewer friends but also makes me value the right people and give my loyalty to the right people.

I've tried to acquiesce to others' emotions, thinking there would be a better connection, but sloppy people absolutely hate my organizing skills, hate logic I use in conversation, and basically want to stay down in their favorite hole without progress. However, if you are 30 points higher on the IQ scale than most people.....the majority will seek to feather line their favorite hole whenever they see you coming anyway. It's not necessarily the way you describe it. It gives us joy to see progress emanating from other people.

INTJs are not negative. We look for potential in everything. It is when we see no potential that we raise our radar over the head of whatever/whomever. But this is following intense scrutiny, because of an optimistic inner voice that is screaming "There HAS to be SOMETHING redeeming, here". But once we feel like we are wasting the time looking for it, we move on.

It took a long time (>5 months) and he replied with this > "Y"
😂 Yeah. I like this guy. He is like me. Take a long time to give response. The smart and cold guy. Like a CCTV. Everyone scare with him. After I sit right next to him. Boom. No one dare to speak poorly about me. 😂 He helps me a lot at school. Wow. He still still single. Despite graduate from reputable university and living in big house. I know this guy. But whenever I ask him out, he declined. Whenever I want to visit his house for study, he declined. Yeah... It is right. He is indeed INTJ. 🤭
I say happy birthday friend. He just asked so many questions. Like dude. Why not happy? I give you birthday cake. He asked me question like why you come to my house, how you know my birthdate, bla bla bla. Like is it what friend supposed to do. Give something in return cause you help me. I mean bro. This is normal. A friend visit your home. He refuse to let me enter his house. His parent always busy and rarely home. But somehow he is okay with it. 😂 He is actually nice. But not able to show emotion and lack empathy. I don't think all INTJ are bad. There are good INTJ who become teachers.
