This is ~ my 5th time watching this video. You did a great job explaining this wonderful tool. Thank you very much. What I learned after watching again, was that choosing the mark-up tool in Safari turns what I'm looking at, into a PDF. Simple, but cool to know.
I used Markup just yesterday. Since I was in a real hurry, I just made some quick edits and plopped my images into an e-mail - done! After watching your video, I’ll need to go back and dig into those other cool features. One thing worth mentioning: You can pin the tool palette to any of the four sides... ⬇️ ⬆️ ⬅️ ➡️
Normally, you wouldn't. If the PDF form was built correctly, you would have normal fields that you could fill in without using annotations or markup. But if someone built a PDF without those fields, expecting you to always print it out, you could use lots of text boxes to add text wherever you wanted.

Are you able to connect via Bluetooth? That's the first step. Get that Bluetooth connection working. Is it paired with a Mac or something else? You may need to have that device "forget" the mouse first for it to pair with the iPad.
I mark up PDFs presentations from lectures - and I have tried to use PDF merger (a Mac automator workflow) to merge multiple PDFs in to one easy to read document. However, the annotations from each lecture disappear in the merged PDF....any idea how I can fix that?? Thanks
@@macmost I've found a weird workaround where if I export my saved annotated PDFs again, it flattens the image - and I can then use PDF merger! Bit clumsy but it did the job

@@macmost I was trying to help my so complete an assignment using the markup tool per the TH-cam video the teacher sent. However I was able to download the PDF just a few moments ago and the markup tool appeared. Thanks for replying.

The third one (the blue one in the video) is a pencil i think- you can use it for shading

What if the markup tool does not show on the drop down list. Where can I find it on the ipad
What are you trying to do? If the option doesn’t appear it is usually because that option isn’t possible in that context.
