This album is by far one of the best collab projects in recent memory. The tracklist may be on the short side, but each song is filled with gorgeous production and a mix of heart and hilarity. Each song is meticulously crafted so it sticks in your head almost instantly. ‪@brunomars‬ and ‪@AndersonPaak‬ balance each other perfectly on this project; no one steals the other's thunder, no one is the clear MVP of this album. They both contribute their own unique flair, such as Anderson's infectious flow on the songs "777" and "Fly with Me", or Bruno's soaring vocals on "Put on a Smile" and the closing track "Blast Off". Thundercat and the legendary Bootsy Collins, while they are the only guest stars on the album, both deliver on the sensual and enchanting ballad "After Last Night" In just 30 minutes, Silk Sonic have pieced together a timeless tribute to 70's soul music that'll last a lifetime. I haven't been so sure of a 10/10 rating on a first listen since Kendrick Lamar released TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. But make no mistake, Silk Sonic delivered.
