It's funny how that stream Nick did with Eric gets passed around to show how Eric is a liar and to show when he says, "Oh I never explicitly said that, you want to watch the video?" And rightly so. But then Nick has lied way more than him and played that same, "I didn't explicitly say that," game with his accusations about the government during his case.

I think some of Josh's complaints are just autism but I think a lot of other complaints are valid criticisms of a lot of tropes that are plaguing comic book in general in the modern age. Like comicsgate hasn't learned that not only do people not like DEI shit, they fucking hate the "written for the trade" style of writing that's responsible for killing the monthly single issue sales, you know the one of the REASONS comicsgate was founded... I think Eric July is writing the style he knows, and what he knows is the modern style of writing for length, which people don't like.
Brother, I'd rather read Preacher anyday over monthly capeshit. The reason superheroes are going downhill is the inane, meandering plots, where nothing matters and there are no real stakes, no beginning, middle, and end; it just continues, forever, with no real weight to any of the ideas or stories. The same problem exists in Manga; that's why one piece is trash, Berserk is slowly becoming trash, and anything DB is trash; the stories have no end, so there's no resolution or goal to work towards within the narrative. Sure, there are cool moments, but if that's all your narrative has, it's pretty damn shallow.
@@PunishedBrak my BIGGEST complaint with more popular manga, beyond the tropes, is that the authors just won't let the shit end. If a manga has over like 200 chapters, it immediately sets off alarm bells. Stories with a nice beginning, middle, and end, a structure, are the best. A manga shouldn't need to go over 200 chapters.

I'm not into comics, I agree with some of the flaws, but fuck guys, Eric is putting out original content... I look forward to how it progresses and that is far more than what I can say about any other super hero BS made by hollywood and the likes. I am confident that Eric would acknowledge what Josh is doing with Kiwi farm as similar to him in terms of being an "independent entrepreneur". And here Josh just jersh all over it...
