- This SOLIDWORKS refresher demonstrates proper design intent and how it is crucial for today's engineers. We'll walk through two different ways to show dimensions on your drawing. We will talk about how SOLIDWORKS assigns dimensions. Then, the first topic is regarding model items, where we will go through the standard process to add dimensions to your part at the drawing level.
In the second half, we talk about using the annotation views in the part to organize dimensions. This way, you can do all the part modeling and dimension organizing in the part file to help automate the drawing process.
✔ Cover how to create custom annotation views
✔ How to organize dimensions into other views
✔ How to bring the organized views into a drawing

Thank you for these tips ❤
Very helpful. Thank you
Just a quick doubt question, did you use MBD for dimensioning or put em by your self
Thanks. Very useful tips
Wow, great stuff! Valuable content.
Badass!
Hi @GoEngineer, thanks for all your share about solidwork. I'm trying to draw tents by solidwork but I can't find any information about this. Can you help me update a video to show how to draw a tent 3D by solidwork? Thank you so much!
How do you remove the second feature manager tree the one that is under the main one where you cannot do everything with, it has a equal sign with an arrow on top of it. Thanks
Please check with your VAR's technical support team to get specific help on the issues
Very informative, can the same thing be done with ordinate dimensions?
Yes, this can be done while editing a sketch, manually with the dropdown underneath 'Smart Dimension' or automatically using 'Fully Define Sketch' command in the dropdown menu under the 'Display Delete Relations.
Is this applicable for sw2019
Yes, these features should be usable in 2019 as well
