Thanks for posting this! I've been searching for someone who has actually used one of these machines or similar to post actual real-world issues, solutions, opinions, etc... Great information!

Are you sure the fuel pump was the issue? I had stalling problems with mine also and found the fuel line from the pump to the carburetor was pinching when heating up. The problem always occurred after running for an hour or more. My theory was that the heat caused the rubber to soften and then it would kink. I changed the fuel line and the issue seems to have gone away.

Yes I have. You should change out the fuel pump made a massive in how the machine ran!

On draining the oil, it won't drain through a hydraulic hose very well anyway. Wrap a rag around your air nozzle and pressurize the crankcase to blow the oil out into your jug. You could use a Jic 90 degree fitting too. Make sure you only use very low pressure to just what it takes to push the oil out. The sound will tell you the thing is drained. Excess pressure would potentially harm an external fuel pump or the diaphragm in a small carburetor. It will go uphill with air.

I do something like that with my dd15 engine to prime the fuel when I change filters. Did not even think of doing that with oil. Thanks man!

I have the same unit and have replaced the fluids and cleaned out the carb. Got mine for $5500. I've only ran it for .4 hours so far with no issues but I fully expect to. You may find the thumb screw for the fluid cooler down inside the machine. Sounds like you've had a few issues already. Thanks for sharing.

I recently bought exact same machine new at auction for $5,200 new. However engine would not start after changing fuel and pump. Now blows white smoke. Pulled engine and will check rings and such inside engine. Mine only ran about 10mins before issues.

You ever figure it out? Mine started doing that I think someone put to much oil in it and now it’s in the exhaust. I pulled the exhaust and there was a lot less smoke.
