Lizz...man, I love this song ever since you put it out and I was in High School when it first came out. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to listen to the radio to catch it and record it. You are one of the first artists that had me calling radio stations to request a song. I loved your song that much..and to this day. Keep doing your thing! Much respect!

I was in college in 1989 when this album came out, and this song got me a lil pregnant-ish. My 27 year old daughter now has a 5 year old son, and I tell them all the time that they are all here because of "Dreamlover".

Such a "Classy" lady. I met Liz in 1990 when she performed @ Blues Alley in D.C. She is such a wonderful entertainer & great vocalist. That night I also got to meet the late great Spencer Harrison who sang background with her on Dream Lover. She & Spencer are graduates of Philadelphia's Overbrook High School aka "The School On The Hill & Liz is a Morgan State University graduate. I spoke with her after the show & she was so "Down To Earth". God Bless you Liz & keep on singing.

I promise you, when this song was first played on the radio, I thought it was A'ngela Winbush. Miss. Winbush was due to come out with a new album. So, I IMMEDIATELY - I mean IMMEDIATELY called the radio station to verify this. The DJ said " No, it's not A'ngela. It's a new artist named Liz Hogue and she is produced by Chris Jasper." I'm telling you, I was hooked. After I called and the broadcast resumed, the DJ said, "We've been getting a lot of calls about the song we played before going to commercial break. The artist' name is Liz Hogue" That was in spring of 1989. I was 22. I remember that like it was yesterday. We need more singers like Liz Hogue.

love love love. I met Liz while she was performing at Westbury music fair many years ago with Norwood. I was with the Stylistics. We had a great conversation and realized she thought I was my brother who she remembered from high school. More talk led to I went to junior high with her husband. Small world and good people. Liz was talented then and can still blow. Much continued success.

@@VCD512 Herb Kent was still with WGCI when this song was first released, V103 debut in the fall of 1988, WJPC was based out of Lansing IL at that time as well, and I remember it being played heavily by both stations in the fall of 89 going strong throughout the holidays

You were accompanied by your friend & colleague the late great Spencer Harrison. You also attended Morgan State University & had a few classes with my former wife Donna Joseph-Chase. After the show Donna introduced me to you & also Spencer. I truly enjoyed the show & speaking with you & Spencer. Dream Lover is still my favorite of all of your songs. You are still as beautiful & talented as you've always been. I truly miss Spencer & his great vocals. Please come back to Blues Alley soon & I'll once again be front & center.
