In terms of tourism, Bangalore falls way far behind Kolkata,also Bangalore is far expensive than Kolkata, the only thing Bangalore is ahead of Kolkata,is whenever you will enter Bangalore, you will get pleasant feelings,be it the greenery,cool climate or the cleanliness where as Kolkata is more or less like Delhi,very crowded, hustle bustle,swarm of street food stall all over the market place,and very hot climate and whenever you enter Kolkata you won't get the pleasant vibes unlike Bangalore

The only sector where Kolkata lags behind Bangalore is the job market and works. Bangalore is much ahead of Kolkata and a decade ago Kolkata was drastically lagging behind Bangalore in this sector. Bangalore has high cost pecause people come here for jobs and thus demand his high. Kolkata on the other hand has zero job market so no demand for real estate.

Bangalore is only providing IT or service sector jobs not manufacturing., So, low security jobs with minimum salary structure, savings is zero there . on the other hand kolkata from 2022 start making vendor warehouse corridors. That actually creates EEG and SEZ to welcome manufacturing companies.. Adani group making 2nd largest investment in Kolkata. Bengal just need right government.

Companies will get what the factory are demands. Unlike Noida or Gurugram government, they gifted extra lands to the companies as roi of the main investment..
I thought ppl will be bashing here how bad Kolkata is, because no matter how much hard the city & it's ppl try to improve, its always bashed by Bengalis & other Indians as well. No matter how much hard it tries, it's always denied support from ppl, other Indians, Central Govt & even it's own State Govt. But kolkata or West Bengal have a all resources and capabilities to be a seperate country. Dont forget Kolkata is the city that economically contributes others 5 major states. I was born and brought up in Bombay, have lived in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar
And now remotely working from Kolkata.
Kolkata is at par with the any Metropolitan in India. Also, it has its unique identity due to its long history which many of the newer metros lack.
I will Choose Kolkata anyday over Bangalore.
But Mumbai over Kolkata because Mumbai is the only city in India that can compete at international standards.

Work culture is surely crappy I agree but Kolkata is the most safe city you can get. Girls and children can roam around till 3-4 p.m. during New Year, Christmas, and Durga Pujo but you won't get a single crime report happening during festivals. Even my female friends feel safe when they get home at 2 or 3 p.m. but guess what? You can't roam after 2 p.m. in Bangalore. Do you know why? Because of the scammers that get out during these times, god knows what they will be up to and what will be their intentions.

You need to pay more than the normal price and you can get the same thing in Kolkata in less than half the price.
