@@Alpha-up3mo it doesn't hurt them unless you properly yank their head up/down, and most horses feel the contact through the bit and without it some get worried as they cant tell if the rider is there or not. But ofc if the horse dislikes the bit there's plenty of other options
My young Thoroughbred bucked me off once and I almost landed on my neck, my mom said that we shouldn’t buy him because he’s bad but I showed her he is such a good boy ( we bought him 😁)

When I'm in intense training with my horse, we jump up to a meter from trot, right now, when we're not jumping a lot, that would be the dumbest thing to do

All these fails are pretty bad but I was trying out this horse to buy and I was cantering and she bucked a TON and I flew off and sprained my neck and obviously I ended up not buying her. But then a few months later I bought a new horse she is SO good I love her

@@calliedurham3476 broo you serious right now, each horse is different if you looked at that horse you could see that he could of jumped that out of trot, maybe that horse was build different not each horse is a good jumper. and i am not saying that your friends horse can't jump but it works for each horse different

The horse can jump this in trot. The issue here was the trot was so slow it was as slow as walk and the horse was sleepy, not active at all 😉
