Honestly It’s the most terrifying when they take off and you can’t stop them, not when they refuse a jump or buck, because you are stuck in the terrifying moment. I’ve had it happen it was the scariest thing OF MY LIFE.
Yeah one time I was on a very spooky pony and a gun went off near our barn and she took off with me but luckily I stayed on. Something else is when you get rolled by a pony, that happen to me twice in one lesson and it was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me because thought I was going to break my legs, with the tack and the angle i was at there was so much leverage that if my trainer noticed 10 seconds later than she did I probably wouldn’t be riding today, because I was so close to breaking my legs
ikrr, its so good because either way them walking up close is probably not gonna do anything. its good if they just observe u and give advice on what to do next time. also if they panic then you falling off will probably be more scary anyway, so if theyre calm then you are gonna feel like its not that big of a deal.
I’m far from “bitter “ … where did you get that? My point was that spending a lot of money to look good, cute, whatever needed to be spent on becoming a better rider. Being a professional trainer, I have met people who just want to make a fashion statement ( for lack of a better term) and don’t want to make the effort to become stronger and more successful. Haha, one teen actually told me that she wanted to ride across a field like that woman on TV did and that was it. Sighhhhh. Evan Bear, you can wear anything you want to, but be a Rider first, then get the pink when you really have something to attract attention with. For some of those equine reactions, I would have come off of too! 😁😉🩵💙
I had a mare once who loved to jump and would never stop at the jumps but instead she would just randomly stop like when we were cantering or trotting she would just stop. And looking back now I think she might have been training a little differently and I probably gave her the queue to stop when I didn’t mean it😂
what im seeing with alot of these fails is people looking daw and getting forward. DO. NOT. ELEVATE. UNTIL. YOUR. HORSE. IS. GOING. OVER. THE. JUMP. by this i mean when you start to feel your horse lift off then you lift off. youre nevr gonna know if ur horse is going to take it long or short

Im starting horse back riding soon. Does anyone have any tips or just telling me how things work? Even if they are really simple I appreciate everything!
Riders. tend to forget that by the time the horse gets to the jump, he literally can't see it. He's chosen his take off point and height a ways back. When the rider tries to rate him.....disaster!
Depends on the situation. If I am outside with my horse and it can run away I hold the rains when I fall down. I rather hurt my horse a little then have it running away alone and on a street or something...

Mh cant put my Finger on it but the most mistakes happen with jumping... maybe cause its dangerous für both horse and rider and most horses dont like it?
@@Thorn-the-arctic-wolf-therain I’m not saying every one does it just a habit people should learn not to make so it doesn’t cause problems for the horse over time and 99 out of 100 times people do yank even if they don’t mean too.

honestly this is strangely wholesome to watch - like its funny, slightly worrying and educational at the same time. also very relatable hahaha
Perfect thing to watch before I go ride😂

I have a pony his name is loki and he is very fast 😂
And when you ride think that you wont fall off😂
Omg yes like great confidence for riding in a few hours lol

Then you ride circles. Don’t try to slow them down, won’t work.
This is why you always always ride with closed barn doors

So true-
Yup
Yes all time s even if your horse is well trained ❤❤

The way that riders leg just went up- it killed me
They seem like an amazing rider though!

This is serious what if that horse kept galloping off and went onto the road?
I love the way at 0:10 the trainer did not even flinch omg!!!
Some trainers are just indifferent, I have a video where I fell off and my old trainer didn’t flinch and just laughed at me😅

Just goes to show that all the matchy matchy tack won’t help till you have a seat like glue.
