0:31 Something like that can end very badly. I once witnessed a girl being kicked in the side by her horse when she fell. Because of this a lot of riding instructors will tell you to roll away as soon as you fall. (I also love the one at 1:03 XD. He's like 'eh, since I'm already down')
3:22 this is why we were a helmet ladies and gentlemen. No matter how trained your horse is, or how long you've had the your horse always wear a helmet. She easily could of died because of this. Idiots not wearing helmets!
Yes! It's not only stupid it's selfish. Think of the people who will grieve/pay for funeral/care for your pet(s), kids, etc. Or what about the cost/difficult of caring for you if you leave but need long term medical care. Think about the horse/barn that now has the reputation of a rider dying. No one (person/horse) is so skilled that they can't have a bad fall. I have chronic migraine. I'm in constant pain. If I couldn't stand wearing a helment I would just give up riding rather then risk putting my Mom/barn/horse/etc. through that.
A bunch of my horses are trained and they have never reared with somebody so I don’t wear helmets during riding in the round pen but I always do on the road in case a horse spooks at a car!
@@Sunny_Axel_andTrevor Just because they are trained not to rear doesn't mean they can't, or that you won't fall off just because you're in a round pen. Horses can die suddenly, including under saddle, an aggressive animal could come in the pen and attack your horse/you, there could be an earthquake or loud noise that startles the horse to go right when your body is leaning left, riders have been struck by lightning, etc. A lot of things cause falls besides rearing. The most dangerous falls are rotational, not caused by rearing and that can happen just from a horse tripping on something. You should wear a helmet for safety regardless of if you're in a round pet or not. If you're injured you/your family will have to pay for your medical care/funeral/etc. It would be devastating to them and possibly life altering if they have to quit work to care for you and deal with their grief. Who would care for your horse? Please consider wearing a helmet. Not only will it protect you, your family, and those that depend on you but it will also set a good example to other riders and for the community at large.
Also, most of these horses could probably REALLY benefit from a day off where they can just run and be a horse. I recommend having fun days for your horse to get his energy out and play a bit
If your horse is bucking or rearing I recommend not pulling reins and try wrap your hands around their neck if you can get to it, it sometimes clams the horse down faster and shows that your not trying to hurt them by pulling in the reins, cause it confuses them more and they will keep bucking till you fall off
I slowed that one down and was very relieved to see that the horse missed stepping on her. It was close and his legs knocked her around a bit, but he never actually stepped on her. It looks like he made a point to hop his back end over her. A close miss is still a miss.
I ride western not English so I couldn’t imagine how these girls survive😂 like srsly one jump on a small English saddle and I’d be ON DA GROUND. I’ll stick to my sturdy western saddle lol but man JUMPERS GOT TALENT like I could never😂
please don't ride without your helmet and (if you have one) a back protector. the helmet really can save your life and the back protector will save your spine. I wish I had a back protector when I got thrown off through a jump wing off a spooked gallopping horse lower spine first... please Never wrap the reins or lead rope round your hands, if the horse spooks and you do that it will (at best) snap your hand bones or arm somewhere... horses are easily strong enough to just whip your hand off if the rope got jammed...
Incorrect riding technique. Clamping is what caused most of these bucks. Lower leg position being secure and not swinging is what saved some of them, which is due to strength and practice in position, not clamping. Many of these especially the one at 2.33 were caused by riders incorrect rein contact and failing to crest release. That rider should not have been jumping anything, especially on a horse that size, she should have been doing single poles on the ground until the forward seat position is automatic and easy.
When ever I am riding I wear a helmet and honestly after a while I forget it’s there lol my parents and instructor would not let me get near a horse in a open space together ( even when I am lunging)
99% of these are 100% human error. Horses do not stop for mo reason; if a horse refuses to jump, it's because the rider is terrible, the previous riders were terrible, the horse is being pushed too fast, or the horse is sore. Example: I watched a big name trainer at a barn where I worked telling a client to smack her sweet little horse repeatedly for stopping. A week later I watched her lead the horse up a gravel incline, & saw something not right, told her to have its front feet x-rayed b/c it looked navicular. Yep. Navicular disease. .
It’s not because they are terrible it’s because they ACCIDENTALLY made a mistake just because the horse stopped or missed the jump doesn’t mess the rider is a terrible rider
OK, before I even get started on how trash all these riders are. I'm just gonna say it now cause it seems to be no one else is. 1. DESENSITIVE YOUR GODDAMN HORSE BEFORE BRINGING TO A NEW ARENA. 2. DO NOT PLACE SMALLER HORSES ON BIGGER JUMPS. 3. LEARN TO NOT YANK REINS ON FEATHERY HORSES ITS STUPID. 4. Learn how to ride. Now lets get into the riders, the only reason the one girl that was riding western on the red roan gelding/mare reared, was because the saddle looks a bit too small for the horses finch. And lets just admire the fact she grabbed the horses ear, the reason she was trampled was all her fault. No one elses. And the other videos of people falling, horses falling, only tends to be the riders fault. Clearly every rider in this video is untrained and is admirdly stupid to be riding horses. Thats all :)
Uhm, rude much. Not everyone is as experienced as you if you even know anything, but clearly you don’t. Every rider makes mistakes. It’s a part of the journey. If you say you’ve never made a mistake, you’re lying.
That girl riding the bay (with the we are the champions) had such an impressive recovery
yes and she didn’t even miss the next jump
SOO TRUE
and she didn't even knock over the jump when she almost fell off
Yes, definitely!

Loved the one with the horse slipping in the field and playing it cool by rolling
I love how that one horse at 1:03 decided to roll after he slipped and fell
oops they paw, they want the barn, NOW!
"I meant to do that"
3:41
I love that the women is gasping and that the man is just chuckling 😂
ok but 2:33 was kinda the girls fault because you could see that she pulled on the reins which made the horse hesitate
She completely brought the horse down. Very odd
Yeah
It's always the human fault
@@andreamasson3775not always

2:40 My fav so funny! The horse literally climbed over the jump.

That water jump was dangerous for the horse. Humans make horses do too many things that could injure the horse!!!
Every one of those falls were rider error.
Every fall that anyone has is rider error even if the horse bucked
Yes. It’s NEVER the horses fault
I totally agree, but I’ve seen horses get on the ground and try to role. But besides that, all rider error.
