Hi, just catching up with comments. From here on it's all talking =) the Heading East Tour was our practice tour and Heading South was the first time we got microphones in our helmets. Thanks so much for your support!!
Picos de Europa has ”itched me” for a long time now. I also follow Richy Vida from the UK and every autumn he and som friends take the boat from UK down to Santander (?). It’s on my own ”bucket list” but don’t know when. Great v-log 🙌
There’s plenty to explore in Northern Spain! Yeah that ferry is very popular for those visiting from the Uk. When I was 15 I traveled with my Dad and Brother to Bilbao. Glad you enjoyed the video, hope you make it there someday! 😎🙌🏻
Hi! Oh yeah we had lots of fun that day 😊 find out in tomorrow’s video how blue we went that night! 🥶😁 thanks for your support and we are really glad to have you with us 😎🙌🏻
Thanks very much for your support!! The twisties were awesome! -many more to come on this tour 😎. Yeah you are right, Emily does a great job of filming with one hand and holding on with the other -I don’t know how she does it 😁 We hope you enjoy the rest of the series 😎🙌🏻
Thanks very much! Emily does a great job of filming and hanging onto the bike =) Here's the full playlist to the Heading South Tour: th-cam.com/play/PLl_mRzVHVQ0yRXu9qeZuZWnHoS1KQV7_8.html&si=-a2E8F9otWLndKpN Thanks for watching and best regards Sean and Emily
Omg, we love riding these roads 😍 My husband on his R12 GSA triple black, and me on my dear sweet F750 GS👌 Aren't we blessed to be able to travel freely 🕊
They are special roads indeed and yes it's such a blessing to have easy access to locations like these! That's awesome! The F750 is a great bike -i actually had a go on one not so long ago. We hope you and your husband are enjoying the summer and getting some nice rides in yourself. Cheers Sean and Emily
@@SeanandEmily Thank you! We had a fab ride out through the New Forest and out to mudeford Christchurch 🇬🇧 on Sunday. Mine has a really low seat, and is an absolute dream to ride! Miles of smiles to be had, even in the wet. And oh what luxury to have heated grips...in this great Brisith summer!! 🤣 And I dont care what anyone says about them not being cool etc, they are super comfy, well engineered ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
enjoy your stay ... great to see you and your setup, you are so well equiped and organized! and you are a sweet couple - I am looking forward to your adventures! btw - YT algo suggested you while watching Lavi & Ollie, funny actually. be safe&cheers 👋
Thanks for you comment -it’s taken a while to perfect our setup to our requirements but we are really happy with how it’s been working! Nice to know that TH-cam is suggesting our content 😊. We hope you enjoy the rest of our adventures and hope to hear from you again soon. All the best S&E
Hi, thanks for your comment and we really appreciate your support! 😊 Emily does have her own bike however we always prefer to travel 2 up on our tours as we have a lot of fun and enjoy being close together -plus who would do all the filming? 😁
Thanks Buddy! Really cool to know where people are watching from so thanks for letting us know. I once had the pleasure to ride a couple of days in California, such a great place so your ride out on Saturday must have been incredible! We must make it back there one day. Al the best S&E.
Love your enthusiasm Emily, great little series, yeah a lot of those villages look deserted all year round in my experience, nice to see a 2 up series, The GS certainly looks well loaded but coping with it brilliantly. Got to an age where we enjoy the luxury of hotels, but great to see you guys camping
Hi and thanks for your encouraging comment =). Interesting that they are like that all year round and we are glad you are enjoying the 2up series. We have everything we need in the GS and feel we could keep riding forever. Camping has been fun but we too enjoy the occasional Luxury hotel =). We hope you enjoy the rest of the series! Al the best S&E
Brilliant, how have found camping? We’re wanting to do some camping but my wife is worried about the cold lol. We’re complete newbies so we’re pinching all your ideas 😂. We’re both loving the videos, keep them coming 👍
Hi Jim, this is a valid concern lol =). That night in the Picos was a lot colder than expected lol. It's important to have the right equipment. The sleeping mat should be thermal insulated, i would recommend down sleeping bags and more recently we purchased the additional thermal liners in case of cold conditions. We love camping but not on overcrowded campsites -in our latest journey (the heading north tour) we do wild camping and this was truly amazing! (the camping video will be out in some weeks) here is a recent video detailing what we take camping: th-cam.com/video/1CeVk7UXI7Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_17ULz3vKzSUODPg also our equipment that we recommend can be found on our website: seanandemilytravels.com/equipment if you have any questions please leave a comment on the videos and we will try and get back to you =) All the best Sean and Emily
Love the video guys, heading to the Picos in May first European adventure just wondering what month yous were there and if May will be chilly day or night...
Hi Winston, thanks for your comment and it's really nice to hear you enjoyed the video. That will be a great trip, we hope you have a great time! This trip started the first week in April, the temperature did drop into the minuses when we were camping lol but the weather in the day time was really nice. By the time we left later in April the temperature was a lot warmer so i think for your trip in May the temperature will be great =) seanandemilytravels.com/the-heading-south-tour
Hi, thanks for watching and we appreciate your comment 😎👍🏻 The location of the camping is in the description of the video. It was called camping de Riaño and was a great campsite! Haha that’s a new one, Sean’s a few seconds off his pace lol 😆
You’re welcome ☺️. We also wrote a Blog on our website in case that’s of interest to you, with a map of the route. seanandemilytravels.com/the-heading-south-tour
Hey guys! We're just getting set to make our Euro motorcycle trip, which app do you use to find the camping places? Great content! Thank you for sharing and ride safe! Best wishes from Brazil!
Hi, we find park4night works well 😊. For special locations we usually leave a location in the episode description. (from the heading north playlist onwards there is a full route link too) Thanks for watching and we wish you all the best with your trip planning!! 😎👍
Great series of vids 👍 Did the Picos earlier this year and loved the roads. How do you find the Nav 6 GPS system? We found the route planning on the Nav 6 to be really poor. Uploaded routes didn’t work well. Fine when navigating to a town but setting a loop on small roads it was awful!
Hi Allen, thanks very much for your comment and encouraging words! Glad you had a good time, there's some great rides in that region. We are actually still using the Nav 5 had it for 7 years without any issues. We tend to just put our waypoints in as we go along the day as we never 100% know where we will be heading to or how far we will get. Emily also does a great job of navigating us to any small or difficult to find locations form her phone on the pillion seat. We are considering the new Connected Ride Navigator, but for now the nav 5 is still doing a great job =). Hey Both of you. nice to see you are off again. going to Spain and Portugal in June myself... what's the name of the Campsite... what a great view... keep up the great trip... love your energy
don't know about the tent, sure, it's 1.9 kilos but virtually no extra space. I chose one that is basically double the weight (3.8) but, it has such a big vestibule that 2 people can arrange all their clothes and gear inside, to dry up, or comfortably have a breakfast, make a tea if it's raining and so on. I think trading 1.9 extra kilos for that much space is definitely worth it.
Totally a personal choice but it's plenty big enough for us, double airbed with space for helmets etc inside and 2 side Vestibules for everything else that isn't in the panniers. Biggest plus for us is it fits inside the pannier so is secure. We also use it hiking, it's our one for all.
We love the look of the Triple Black GS so the black panniers match it well, we try to buy top gear when we can as it tends to last years and years (in the long run it actually works out better) Again the dark colours last the longest and are easier to keep clean. We hope you are enjoying the series =)

Ahh you beat us to it 😁 yes that’s the place!
We could have done with some of that heat that night! 🥶 😁
Can I ask a technical question about what you're using to mic up both helmets? Cheers Greg
Hi Greg, we are using a wireless microphone setup. All our equipment can be found on our website: seanandemilytravels.com/equipment . Cheers S&E
Can you tell me what type of audio system that you use between the Cardo and GoPro to get voice on video?
Thanks

Hi Doug, they are not linked, we use wireless microphones separately to the intercoms. Cheers
I'm going there tomorrow! What's the name of the campsite? Please.
Hi it was called camping de Riano.
