I love hearing the perspective from an adoptee! I had a lot of healing to do and I've found a lot of peace working through the ways it was hard on me. Everything you said about guilt/shame was amazing too.

I think the cohesive vision is that you give details along with all the nooks and crannies to self-love, which is going to make or break our future. You are brilliant!

Mel you have opened my eyes to so many issues my family has had. My youngest daughter has pushed away her mother because she is apparently Toxic 6 years ago. up until my daughter was 16 you could not get the two of them apart. They did everything together Mel. My daughter turned 16 left home and never came back. Well this caused her mother to slowly die inside. Mel I want my old daughter to come back, want my family back together as much as possible(we divorced 7 years ago). This daughter has now labeled me as being Toxic as well and I haven't been able to see my grandchildren for over 2 years now. Mel I don't have any idea what do anymore who to talk too, it has torn my whole family apart and I can't stop crying inside. I cherish the earth my children and grandchildren walk on. So as you can see I'm a basket case now .Hopefully you able to make sense of this. Found your TH-cam channel when I googled "Why am I so Angry" 😢

Mel, about newsletters... they usually look spammy to the viewer, no matter whom it comes from. People who like you and follow you don't necessarily want a group email from you every morning. Emails are personal (person-to-person), so I would recommend sending them only if there's a relevant announcement of some sort. As I go through my emails every morning, I prioritize personal messages. I either do not read newsletters or move them to trash/spam.

Talking is the best, but not always easy. Yes. guilt is about the person who feels it, and we often forget other people have issues, too.

We feel the most guilt because we are caring for end of life parents, children we have raised to be entitled, our own lives that have gone by the way side, and we rarely have support in all this!

From over here I know that people dont "make " people feel anything. This is a type of perspective control managed with ideas. Addressing your feelings in this manner takes your power away and gives it to others. As if you are just thrown about by others actions etc. However, the other persons actions etc, may have stirred our emotions. Some would call this being triggered. Ultimately It is our own perspective that is responsible for our emotional response. There are levels of this as with everything else. Also...some folks ya just cant reach.

When I adress issues to my mum she doesn't take me serious. Sometimes I feel like I am not heared. When I tell her this she acts like I am weird and my feelings are overreactive. Sometimes she ignores me or is pissed when I tell her something like this.

Now this makes sense to me.....I have a horrible time about my business because, I just want to give my gifts away instead of charging for it..because I know I am taken care of....I have the guilt to make money.

How do you stop feeling guilty when you’re a caregiver to spouse and they die on your watch? I lost my husband, I did all I could and I’m alone again.

Share your experiences with parents. Talk to parents about what you're going through, write a book. It will certainly help a lot of families - re: parents willing children to always agree with them.

The battlefield is the mind. Instead of focusing on the negative things in life and the things we don't have, we need to focus on the positive and things we do have. And be thankful to God for those things. This is not easy. It's a daily struggle for me too.
