  • Hey guys! Welcome to Episode 1 of our Japan Travel Diaries. In our first few days of our 5.5 week trip, we stayed in the vibrant and electrifying city of Tokyo, where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with futuristic innovation. In this video, we'll take you on a insider tour of our unforgettable first three days in Tokyo, focusing on the iconic neighborhoods of Shinjuku, Asakusa, Harajuku and Shibuya. Whether you're a new traveler planning your trip to Japan or just looking to relive the magic, we hope our Japan Travel Vlog series will give you valuable insights and tips for making the most of your time in this incredible country.
In our first few days in Japan, we got to explore:
    1. Takodanobaba (Our home base / AirBNB)
    2. Shinjuku (Piss Alley and the Golden Gai)
    3. Harajuku (Cat Cafe, Hedgehog Cafe and Meiji Shrine)
    4. Shibuya (The famous crossing, a church bar, etc)
    5. Asakusa (Markets, Kimino's, Shrines)
Our adventure begins in Shinjuku, a bustling district known for its vibrant atmosphere and iconic landmarks. We'll start our day by diving into the neon-lit streets of Kabukicho, Tokyo's renowned entertainment district. From vibrant arcades to unique themed cafes (cat cafes, hedgehog cafes) and bustling izakayas, this area is a sensory overload of excitement and fun.
Afterward, we escaped the hustle and bustle and find tranquility in Meiji Shrine (Harajuku), a serene oasis in the heart of the city. Get ready to stroll through beautifully manicured gardens, discover peaceful ponds, and relax under the shade of cherry blossom trees (during the spring season). It's a perfect spot to recharge and soak in the natural beauty that Tokyo has to offer.
Our final night in Tokyo takes us to the heart of Tokyo's bustling Shibuya district. Get ready to experience the world-famous Shibuya Crossing, where thousands of people cross the streets in perfect chaos. We'll guide you through the excitement of this iconic landmark, capturing the essence of the city's energy.
We loved the vibrant shopping scene in Shibuya. As the sun sets, Shibuya transforms into a nightlife paradise. From high-end fashion stores to trendy boutiques and quirky department stores, there's something for every style and budget. And let's not forget about the food! We'll introduce you to delicious street food and hidden gems for authentic dining experiences.
There you have it guys! Our whirlwind adventure through Tokyo's iconic neighborhoods of Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya has come to an end. In just three days, we experienced the vibrant lights, embraced the unique subcultures, indulged in mouthwatering cuisine, and soaked in the electrifying atmosphere of this incredible city.
Whether you're a first-time traveler or returning to Japan, Tokyo's dynamic energy and diverse offerings will leave you enchanted.
