Hi, I'm Chloe. A creative entrepreneur who loves travel.
In 2023, my partner and I travelled to Japan for just under 6 weeks and I accidentally fell in love with vlogging our trip! Since then, we've been to: Vietnam, Singapore, India, Malaysia and Bali.
I thought it would be fun to document and share our trip here as a keepsake for us - to have something to look back on. Hope you enjoy our vlogs!

A Weekend in Sydney, Newtown & Marrickville | Sydney Vlog | Australia Diaries | Romanticising Home
Welcome to our Sydney Diaries!
2024 is all about romanticising home, and I'm keen to show you more of my normal, everyday life in the glorious city of Sydney, Australia.
In this vlog, Jaime and I recreated our first date (3 years later) and went back to the first place we met at, a restaurant in World Square called Din Tai Tung. The dumplings, beef stir fry and pork buns were honestly so delicious (we didn't remember it being that tasty on our first date).
Come along as we dive into the vibrant energy of Sydney's Central Business District (CBD). We catch a ferry in from Rose Bay Wharf to Circular Quay and take you for a walk in the iconic Sydney CBD, where modern skyscrapers meet historical landmarks.
World Square is where we first met - a bustling hub filled with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. From trendy fashion boutiques to delicious dining spots, there's something for everyone in this lively area.
After our hearty lunch, we strolled through Regents Place, a hidden gem on George Street where you can find a unique blend of retail and dining experiences that make this spot a favourite among locals and tourists. Whether you're in the mood for some retail therapy or a gourmet meal, Regents Place has you covered (and it feels SO much like Japan)! It's super trendy, really clean and you find all sorts of colourful stuff like a cheesecake, ramen and matcha shops (that are ALWAYS busy).
To finish our date, we went for a stroll in the rich cultural tapestry of Thai Town, which is found in the heart of Sydney. Thai Town is a vibrant neighbourhood known for its authentic Thai cuisine, colourful markets, and cultural festivals. We went to Mango Coco - which is a dessert restaurant that ALWAYS has long wait lines. Because we went at an odd time (3.00pm) - and it was a pretty cold, windy day - we got really lucky with just a 5 minute wait. We had the famous Thai Milk Tea Bingo and got a bit of brain freeze to end our 3 year anniversary celebrations.
On Sunday, I met with a friend and explored Newtown and Marrickville.
Newtown is known for its eclectic streets, quirky vintage shops, trendy cafes, and vibrant street art. Marrickville is right next door to Newtown, and it's a cultural melting pot known for its diverse food scene, charming markets, and artistic vibe.
Our first stop on Sunday was Azuki Bakery in Newtown - a famous renown Japanese Bakery that has a heap of 5 star Google Reviews. We enjoyed our Melon Bread, Coffee and Matcha before heading to the Organic Food Farmers Markets in Marrickville to see a gorgeous array of vibrant street food stalls, second hand vintage clothes stalls and folk music.
We had a lovely weekend soaking up Sydney's gorgeous autumn sun! Thank you for coming along with us this weekend. I'm excited to show you guys more of the amazing local, hidden spots here at home, and uncover the charm and excitement of Sydney, Australia.

Loads ❤️ Thank you for the tip 🫶🏽🏃🏽♀️🏋🏽♀️
this is making me miss Sydney!! nice vlog! :)
So sweet! ❤️ Will you guys ever come back this way? 😍
Newtown looks so cute! Also, I’m watching this at 12am and now I’m STARVING because of all the delicious looking food🤤
Hehe Newtown is definitely cute 😜💖 this is your sign to grab that midnight snack!!! 🍟🍿
Thanks for sharing your treats for the sense, it felt like a hug from an old friend.
Its also about the gratitude for the good things in life. Your clip reminds me of the Nick Drake song: th-cam.com/video/h5G242IBygM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for watching 🫶🏽 that’s such a beautiful simile 🤍 a warm hug from a friend 😌
Welcome back and congratulations on your 300🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
Gnaw you are the SWEETEST! Thank you so much!!! I know that 300 isn't a huge number - but it means so much to me that I could connect with people like you across the world through this platform 😍😍😍😃 Thank you for your unwavering support and love!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

1:36 Because People want to spread Negativity about India & the things your heard are 90% time wrong or the same thing being repeated again & again ti wreck the image of India. Agreed , India isn't perfect but then no country is, people just don't like to accept that. Many unfortunate incidents in Europe, US , Japan etc... doesn't get highlighted because they control the global media narrative. Its absurd how people think India is not safe when they never visited the country! Thats a question Mark on thier maturity & what not!
I agree that no country is perfect! My partner had been to India years ago and he was worried that I would find it overwhelming as I’m quite sensitive - we both adore India (I had an amazing first time) - and I would 100% go back to explore more of the culture and the beauty of the country 🧡

Thanks for sharing your journey with your family😍👍… I try to spend as much time with my family as I possibly can
Thank you so much for watching 🧡 It's so great that you make the effort with your family! It's something I really want to do more of this year intentionally ☺ It makes life feel so rich!

You're partner is boring... Do us subscribers a favor Dump that humdrum..!🤣✌️
Thanks for the video. Would you be able to recommend some kid-friendly places and things to do in Hokkaido?
Thank you for watching! 🥰 Yes of course. There are so many incredible child-friendly places, perfect for families. Hokkaido is quite big - so it really depends on where you'd like to go - but I would definitely recommend Furano (Tomito Farm + all the beautiful flower fields) - they have beautiful petting zoos 🌻
The zoo + botanical gardens are also a lot of fun there - even as adults, we'll never get sick of visiting the zoo + botanical gardens. We didn't get to go, but Odori Park seems to have a few great reviews too. I hope this helps!
Thanks Chloe, had no knowledge of Langkawi before. You captured varied charms of this place well. Seems to have a natural and relaxed vibe and wasnt teeming with people.
So glad we could introduce you to this gorgeous hidden gem 🤗 It was definitely relaxed and natural! We're so grateful to have stumbled upon this island 😊
Another awesome video guys. Thanks for sharing your journey with me.😊😍👍
Thank you for watching 🥰 So glad we can share it with you!
Love the video! We are heading to Okinawa in a month's time so this video helped a lot! Side note - you guys are so cutee together :')

I’m glad you made a video about the trail, I’m going to Japan in november and this trail is on my list together with Kurobe gorge as must see visits ❤
How exciting 🥰 So glad you're going to do the trail... It was probably my favourite thing from our trip (there were too many amazing places and moments). I hope you have the best time! Will you be documenting your trip at all? ☺
@@the-creativenomad probably not, I'm trying to be more present instead of behind my camera and allow myself to appreciate all the beauty around me when I visit ^^

Thanks for showing a glimpse of India. I myself havent seen this type of wedding as our culture changes every 100 miles. - the white boys dance 😂 - my homie is now pro in changing bulbs!
I heard that every region / area has its own culture / traditions - which you can really see at different weddings. I find that so incredible. I know that sari's are also wrapped differently in the north vs. south. And yes - he is changing the light bulbs 😂
Thanks for sharing Chloe it captured the sumptuousness of the Indian wedding in a natural setting.
So glad you liked the vlog Paul :) I love the word "sumptuousness". It was a beautiful 4 days!
Thanks. I sent you an email about an article about music that has been published.
@@pauljames8651 Thanks Paul, congratulations on your article! I'll definitely have a read 🙂
That was a big wedding. How many days did that wedding last?
It was a big wedding! Apparently compared to many other Indian wedding standards, it was "relaxed" 😅 It was 3 days in total - so stunning 🧡

Yeah, this is a travel vlog sharing our experiences, not a "here's what you should do!" video. We only stopped by Singapore for a couple of days to get to our main destination, which was India. Thanks for your observation :) I'm sure there are plenty of incredible channels out there with people who have amazing travel tips for Singapore.
@@the-creativenomad yeah absolutely. I'm sure there are other loads of travel channels making a living off TH-cam that don't irresponsibly misrepresent the destinations they travel to
@@andrechen2617 I think every person's experience of a country is unique to them, and therefore valid 🙂 I'm sure people who travel to Australia would experience differently to how I experience it - I would never accuse them of misrepresenting Australia for sharing their subjective experience ❤
