LOL! "got that mean cow look" is an expression that only ranchers can fully understand. Glad for you that the two casted calves have healed up well and are up & running without the casts. Excellent!
Great team ! So sorry about the calf drowning. I had a little bull calf born with no eyes this spring. It’s amazing how he gets around. All the best🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸🐂
Hi Carson, great video of you and Jacques catching calves. Jacques almost flipped that 4 wheeler trying to catch that one calf, great save. Sorry to hear about the death of that calf but it is probably best with it being blind. It is great that you and Jacques work so well together as a team.
You should check out Mike on Our Wyoming Life. Last year he put together a calving kit that was portable for anywhere on the ranch and contained what 95% of the calves or mamas would need. It was pretty cool.
Great episode! You guys are so impressive and your camera work captures the physical demands and danger you face in your life. Great job depicting a hard but wholesome life that few of us could maintain.
You guys chasing those calves are like me trying to catch my wild 3 yr old grandson. Listening to you two laugh, cracked me up today. Sorry to hear about the calf. Great job removing those casts. Great video!!!
As always, enjoyed the video!!! I saw when you were cutting the cast off one of the calves that it is starting to green up a little, hope you get some rain!
Hi Carson, another great video, as mentioned watching different cattle procedures and your country is a great thrill. Does Jarcques have friends who may be interested in work in Australia, farming and cattle. Someone with his great attitude, as mentioned we are a family business so it's a more personal approach to workers. Again look after yourselves, from Down Under.
@@sleepranch Thanks Carson. If the world ever gets sane again I would love to meet you and your family, your parents are around my age. Your Mum seems to enjoy being part of all that goes on and also a vet offsides to give a little TLC to those animals that need it. I enjoy your video intro where we see the cold, with the fire when mustering etc and horses tails in the cold wind.
The little calves are awful cute. I don't remember to many calves getting laid on but in winter we had a lot flat cats, I started chasing the cats away from the cows when I saw them laying by a cow. Sorry about your calf , sadly it does happen. We had a cow get stick in a ravine and she broke her neck trying to get out. Nothing easy about farming or ranching. Stay safe and healthy.
Carson, da*n you, I fell off my chair laughing when you said to that cow, don't be dumb! HAHAHALOL Don't know if there's a dumber animal on the planet than a cow sometimes. Thanks for the great video, stay safe.
Tagging calves in the open is a two man job for young men. Us old boys tag them with a gate between the calf and it’s mum. That how we have survived long enough to be old boys!
Thanks. I thought that might be the reason or the mother cow laying on them. Sorry about the calf that drowned but I think it was meant to be. Nature or God intervened.
Thanks Kathleen! Yep it would have been easier to use the horses and ripe the calves but unfortunately we were in a time crunch and weren’t able to drive and pickup the horses.
I love the films but am gonna have to stop watching because you guys are gonna get hurt - I’ve been battered by cows with new calves too many times and you are making me nervous Take care
Thanks for your concern, we really appreciate it and do understand. Sad to see you go but enjoyed meeting you while you watched! Take care and stay safe!
It was fun watching the two of you running after the calves and trying to hold them down. Good job.👍❤️🇨🇦

That’s very true! Thank you very much!
Stay blessed Brothers, great video
Dr. Carson.
Thanks Seanzy, you too man!
What a lovely day there. You look like little boys playing , catching the babies. Good Job.
I was surprised how much the Mother cows objected.
Haha thank you Evelyn!

Thank you Petty, that really means a lot! Take care!
Awesome videos. You are doing a great job. Really like all of your cattle updates
Thank you Jerry!

Haha that’s funny! I hope you can catch him now and then;)
Ahhh keep Penelope as a pet. ❤️
Little baby lambs aren't half as dramatic when they get their ears tagged. These little guys are real mama's boys.
Looks like you guys have fun working together.
Thanks Jim, yeah it is pretty fun!
As always, enjoyed the video!!! I saw when you were cutting the cast off one of the calves that it is starting to green up a little, hope you get some rain!
Thanks Ellis! It is starting to green up a little bit!
You could have used a cast spreader....makes it easier to spread open the cast where it's cut.
It was fun watching u guys work. Mustache and goatee looking good
Thank you Bill!
Great video!!
Thanks David!
Enjoyed the video 👍
Thanks Terry!
Good one ! Thanks again.
Thanks Jack!

Hey CSR, thank you very much! I’ll ask him and see if he has some friends looking for work! I hope things are going well down under!

Thank you very much! We’d love to meet you sometime too, but like you said. If the world gets sane again haha
Try some Tin snips to cut the cast off after first cutting with the carbide blade .
Good job on stumpy and the other calf So funny watching you guys trying to catch them. Hope the other little guy continues to get better.
Thanks Ken!

Oh man that sounds bad! Crazy about the cats getting laid in too! Stay safe and healthy as well!
You need an oscillating saw to cut those casts off. Doctors use them, and I use them in remodeling houses. they won't cut flesh
The one with broke back leg up high will heal own it’s own
How is Stumpy’s leg ? Is he still walking slew footed
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks John!
Just watched it. Great video, but what was the spray for? City girl! Don' t laugh!!.

Haha that’s probably true Andrew!
That was a fast 18 min. Enjoyed the vid.👍
Thank you Sharon!
Good video.
Thanks Diane!
I thought all cowboys west of the Mississippi River could rope calves...you did it the way we do it here in Wisconsin...LOL
Haha that’s very true! We could have but we can usually catch them pretty easily with calf catchers!
Those cows with the devil ears! Whewwww! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Donna!
Where is Jacque from. He seems like a mighty good guy to have around.
He’s from South Africa, he sure is great to have around!
The calves are so cute. But why do so many have broken legs??
Thanks! We just had cows step on the calves and that’s why, we’ve had more this year than in past years so kinda weird!
Thanks. I thought that might be the reason or the mother cow laying on them. Sorry about the calf that drowned but I think it was meant to be. Nature or God intervened.
Why so many broken legs??? Wow !!!
I’m not sure, we’ve had more than usual this year all from cows stepping on the calves.
Remind me not to see you two guys if I break a leg. 😂
😂😂😂
Good video. Would it be easier if you roped the calves like in the rodeo? Lol
Thanks Kathleen! Yep it would have been easier to use the horses and ripe the calves but unfortunately we were in a time crunch and weren’t able to drive and pickup the horses.
Iast year I had 2 calves get pushed in the dugout and drown.
That doesn’t sound very good at all!
@@sleepranch it’s fenced off now. 👍🏼
Some cowboys ye are 5;28 no rope to rope a calf , CLOWNS
That’s true Willie, pretty poor excuses for cowboys haha a rope would have been pretty handy just didn’t have one on us.
I thought it was super fun to watch!
why don't one you cowboys lassoo'em....hah..
We should have Fred, it would have been a lot easier!
WHY not just ROPE/LASSO the Calves
Would you not be better using a horse.
Yep it would have been much easier Bob but we were in a time crunch and weren’t able to drive over and catch the horses
The cows don't like what you doing they're angry 😤
They sure are!
