Chris will be a local celebrity this way. I went to ag college in Ridgetown with Chris, i should go look him up, still the same nicest guy you'll ever meet by looks of it.
I tried to ask questions that was asked in previous video comments about Chris’s set up. I like to get comments It helps to bring up talking points Thanks for watching and Thanks for the comment
Great Video! There’s a lot of cattle videos on this channel lol. I was just going past Rutherford and saw the new sign there. Maybe next video can be that?
Excellent video, per usual, for those of us not used to cattle its a great over view.....I don't get it all, but I appreciate the husbandry and the expertise of farmers like Chris....
Thanks Phil for your comments. I know Nate reads your comments and misses you when you don’t comment I also look forward to Janis commenting Have not heard from her yet??? See you Friday
Enjoy the cattle videos! Keep it up! I am from South Dakota and we got monoslope barns but they get bedded 2-3 times a week! The cattle outside that get back rounded different story haha!
Chris had a slope on his dry pack. Which should let the manure move to the feed alley to be cleaned out Chris often does not wait for it to move down. If field conditions are right he just cleans the whole pen out. Keeps the cattle much cleaner.
Best thing I ever did building my Wecover. Only problem I was too old when I built mine My advise is go for it the sooner the better. Cattle do good in them Nice to work in etc The market is the market. Will most likely always be a challenge. But feed conversion and handling was great in mine. Too bad I now feel I am too old to use mine and is a machinery storage now. Should of had it 10 years sooner Keep on the channel I love comments. Call my brother Brian he can hook you up with a Wecover
Hi there I'm a cow calf farmer from gatineau quebec. Enjoy your videos im a charolais breeder . I sell in cobden ontario and white and tan calves seem to sell better. Do you see a breed of cattle that finish better than others. Thanks
Thanks for watching Mike. Glad to see we cross provincial lines. As far as breeds ?? Great question. I used to feed Charolais. Lately I been feeding mostly black heifers Can argue all day the Angus I found for me to be a bit gentler but finish a bit smaller. Those Chars can get real big and produce a lot of beef. I say. What ever works. Thanks for the comment and keep watching
