I'm thinking of upgrading from ME 70 to the ME 90. 1st thing I like of the ME 90 is finally it has a 'send-return' FX loop. The numerous TH-cam demos show the ME 90 doing many things - I'm intrigued by the IRS.
For live playing, what amp for ME 90 - FRFR powered speaker or a tube amp?

Hi, I'm new to using IRs, and I was wondering why they drop my volume so much when I load them in to my ME 90? Is that normal, or could I be doing something wrong?

Great question! No! You are most likely doing everything absolutely right! Some IRs are just really quiet, and some IR’s are really really loud! I’ll see if I can find a volume fix for them!

Great tutorial on the ir loader. I had similar issues with volume drops using York audio irs. But you affirmed my suspicions on the differences in of volume drops. That’s a good thing. Great pedal & great tips. I’m going to posting some videos as well. Got me some great tones from this affordable box. 🤙

I do have a question I bought the York IR set for a few different amplifiers that I like and I find that when I load them the sound drops off a lot in terms of volume and definition.
Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks! Great channel!

Hi. Are you running straight into a DAW or via an amp? The biggest issue I've seen raised with the ME-90 is that when it's in guitar mode (to plug into an amp) you can't completely get rid of the ME-90 cabinet model and it just doesn't sound good.

Straight into the DAW. I’ll video a comparison with the ME90 switching from line out, to guitar amp out and also change between amp output types (selectable on the hardware setup) and post the results.
