  • Beauty vs the beast! I compare the gorgeous MV Agusta Brutale 1000rr to the beastly Ducati Streetfighter V4S! It was a crazy hot day to film this so please excuse my sweat 😅
    A comparison video, sort of, more like trying to pick the best of the best situation. Both bikes are phenomenal so everything I mention is from the experience I had, if you disagree, comment, if you agree, also comment!!

    Like the honest reviews. Suggested production tip - being able to hear the sound of the engine while riding would take this to the next level. Not helmet sound though. Use a good mic with a GoPro or other attachable cam. All the best.

      Very true, I normally don't like to do commentary on the bike because it can be hit or miss, i use an external purple panda mic hooked into the gopro adapter. I also usually use my zoom h1n with an plug in rode mic to get that good motor noise (check out my svr video). I am getting some rode wireless go 2 so I can have better interview audio as well. When I bought my Brutale it was a choice between it and the Dark Streetfighter too. Very glad I made the decision I made to buy the MV. It was so much fun. The engine is dead below 7k, but above that is amazing. It's handling was amazing. For us bigger guys it does need more weight on the front but that's just a simple suspension fix. I should have disabled the ABS on the rear wheel though. I was going to slide it in a gravel pull out to stop and forgot about the abs. Went straight into a rock wall with it so hard it knocked the GoPro so silly it didn't even record it.

      So the RS isn't a different riding position than the rr (same specs for ergos in both bikes) it just doesn't have the extra goodies on it. @@oneonlyxram nope the RS has different bars. From another review
      But there’s been one concession that makes the RS a better streetbike than its sibling-the class-standard, single-piece handlebar.
      Perhaps we’re getting on a bit in years, but the RR’s clip-on handlebars made for a rather uncomfortable riding position. The RS’s traditional single-handlebar configuration might not grab attention like the RR’s, but looks will be the least of your worries after you jump off from an hour-long ride and don’t feel the need for a massage therapist.

    interesting for me to watch because I own both of these bikes amongst us. I have five Ducati various models, and two MV Augusta, brutales. One 800 cc in red and one 1090 cc in silver red and black. The four cylinder 1090 cc model beats the ass off the 800 cc three cylinder which I’m going to sell because I’d rather listen to a swarm of wasps in my ears, then that manifold despite how beautiful it looks. It sounds absolutely horrible and it would be a sin to remove the original artist designed exhaust pipes to put aftermarket pipes on because they’ll never look as beautiful and that’s like pissing on the Mona Lisa. as to the streetfighter, I can say I own a Ducati Café racer, a Nightshift scrambler, two Ducati monsters, Diavel 1260 on the way, and the 848 street fighter. And the street fighter is currently the most comfortable bike of all along with the MV Augusta 1090. Those are my two favorite bikes. I’ve got some other bikes as well, such as a Harley sportster 1200, a Benelli TRK502x, Royal Enfield scram 411, 650 Diablo custom gt continental cafe racer designed by K-Speed custom Thailand, and a few other items. But most of my collection tend to be Italian bikes. The four-cylinder MV Augusta and the Ducati Street fighter are two completely different rides. One of them is friendly and comfortable, and the other one is very naughty and tiresome. One of them you can spend a few hours having fun on, the other one will leave you with an adrenaline overdose after half an hour doing 30 mph at 12,000 RPM trying to get past the bus in front of you. that is the MV Augusta 800. Which isn’t in this video and there’s a three cylinder version like the dragsters they make. And they seriously warn anybody except millennials, perhaps, against them. They look really beautiful, but they sound so horrible and they are so tiring to ride, and impossible to do anything with, but race all the time. all Off The The Time Meaning, maximum one hour, because you cannot drive the 800 cc model of the MV Augusta for longer than that. unless you want something to show off on for for an hour as a second bike once in a while, I would say get the street fighter because you’ll drive that to work and you’ll take it on the track as well if you like that kind of thing. And you’ll definitely leave anything you want behind on the motorway as well. And you will be comfortable all of the way. It’s one of the most surprising bikes I’ve ever bought. The 1090 MV Augusta is also perhaps the most amazing bike I’ve ever bought, but it’s extremely powerful and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody except extremely experienced riders. Whereas, the Ducati Street fighter, is very friendly even to people with only a few years under their belt, driving big bikes. The Ducati Street fighter is very compliant. The MV Augusta rides you. You don’t ride it… it rides you

      MV isn't necessarily more expensive as far as service is concerned. It is more the lead time to get parts that is crazy long. I don't mention servicing pricing because shops charge differently and if you are buying a $30k+ bike you are also able to deal with the maintenance and have factored that in. The V4s competition is the Brutale 1000RS and NOT the RR

    • @oneonlyxram
      @oneonlyxram  ปีที่แล้ว

      The rs is a less equipped and softer version, so to me it would be closer to a monster in comparison. How would the rr not be competition? You'll see that mcn and others compare these bikes as well, do you disagree with them too?

      @@oneonlyxram The RS is a recent release by MV. You may better check the dates of the MCN opinions. MCN and all other vloggers opinion are appreciated but it all depends on each ones perspective. @Bobby de Jesus I'm very aware of the release date for the rs, however, I do not agree that it is the competition to the V4S. Again because of the equipment that is on the RS isn't on par with the V4S. To me the rr is it's competitor simply because I was choosing between the two when I bought my v4s.

    • @oneonlyxram
      @oneonlyxram  ปีที่แล้ว

      I never said anything about the torque. The bike needs to be 5k rpm and above to really come alive. Have you ridden this model before?

    Who rides these bikes with the engine at 3000 rpm?!?!? you lost all credibility with that admission. These are meant to be kept ABOVE 5000 RPM at all times and shift at or above 7000 RPM at all times. Then the engine performs as the engineers designed it. They did not make it to lug at 3000 rpm. Go review a Honda Civic, that is more your speed and style.

    • @oneonlyxram

      😆 the fact that you don't realize normal riding conditions dictate rev range. Tells me you have zero concept of realistic riding. But hey, believe what you wish.

      @@oneonlyxram I own 2 Ducatis and have no issues keeping the rpms above 5000 at all times. The engine performs so much better than you lugging it at 3000 rpm The only time I'm ever below 4500 rpm is when leaving a stop in 1st gear. After that, it's always above 5000 rpm. That is real life. You need a lesson in how to ride high performance bikes.

      @briangc1972 😆 Oh, then you're an expert... I'll just ignore the pro riders and coaches that I train with....3000rpm isn't "lugging" them, maybe in 5th or 6th at 35mph.
