- after being in hong kong for 2 years, i packed my stuff and moved (back) to japan. in this video i'll talk a little about why i made the move.
i'm still getting settled in, but once i do an apartment tour is coming. i'm also still figuring out how to best put together these videos. though i'm busy with my new job, i'm going to make a point to find time to produce higher quality content. excited to show you all the next chapter of my life!

Go for it! But as someone who’s lived here for almost 4 years all told by this point, visiting is VERY different from living. That said, if you’re game, don’t hesitate!

Their currency is collasping, USD vs YEN is nearly 1.56 as of now. BOJ is struggling to find a fix. This isn't good at all for a country that has to import their energy which is dominated in USD...
We have nuclear power plants running in Japan.
@@Mwoods2272 Nuclear power only accounts for 7% if energy, everything else is imported. Hence, why electricity rates have risen quite a lot

This October I will finally be landing in Japan. Been preparing for this since 2019, but the pandemic made us push the move. Once my house sells I can apply for my business visa and finally get over there.
I would apply now, it takes a while.
@@Mwoods2272 It takes about 2 months for the visa I am applying for to be approved. I am applying in August
