You need to do another video using the same setup and same engine and show us what stock will do and then take the engine and do a Stage One build and run the same track again and then a stage two, stage three, and stage four. This would give the person thinking of upgrading a good idea of what they would be getting with each stage and also give a rundown of what each stage costs.
I race 212cc predator engines with stage 2 kits on em. We race in dirt ovals, and let me tell you. It’s sketchy af sliding into the turn at 40+ mph on dirt with open wheels and karts 4 inches away from you
I had my 2seater going 50mph yesterday before I tightened the throttle from 3/4 give to 4/4 all the way but I'd say it will run 55-60mph now! Its belt and chain pulled!
Lots of other things you could do to make it faster you can go with a bigger driver and a smaller rear gear and you can back the screw out for the rev limiter and it will make a world of difference just won't accelerate as quick

I garbage picked a gocart with this engine last January and finally got around to messing with it today and it started on the 3rd pull. Just had to tighten up some bolts on the steering mechanism and it's runs good. An oil change and new air filter is in the future but very good find for me. Nice video

I just replaced it with a predator 212 and the little thing will haul my 220lb ass around at 42 mph according to the GPS.. governor still in place I'm gonna change the hearing and bypass governor and try to get to 60 without killing myself

Son and I stuck a 212 on as 1968 mini chopper. It's a wheely machine. 12tooth front 72tooth rear. Need new sprockets, they are kind of wrecked with the added power from the 3.5 Tecumseh
Man no offense but that go needs a driver upgrade that wasnt a top speed run but a 0 to 30 run. If you want the top speed you have to drive farther than that.
my 50cc 4 stroke engine equiped bike can go 25 mph and this has 4 times the displacement and only goes 5 mph higher? could you optimize it to go faster? i heard its possible to go 80 mph with a 212 cc motor
Ya man..there is a screw that keeps the throttle from going wide open..take that screw out..its under the gas tank but you can reach it..if it's not that than you need to order a smaller rear sprocket..another choice is buying a stage 1 kit, stage 2, and so on..hope this helps..thx for watching

Shark Bait mine is stock except the carburetor. it is a Honda gx 160 carb don't know how much that changes it. But I got that same app and it says mine goes 43mph

I saw one of your comments about buying a smaller sprocket to make the cart go faster. I have a go cart and buying a 212 pred. The sprocket on the back of my cart is huge? It will limit the speed?
Never mind that, I just went and looked, the sprocket is so big that when I put on racing slicks it will drag the ground. I’m thinking on getting a belt clutch kit. Would that be better?
If you where a mechanic like my dad you would know that the predator motors can easily go to 60 they just have them limited he explained to me how to remove the limiter but of course i wasnt paying attention
@speedy4x458 pulled the internal governor, and custom made the throttle with a spring, direct chain from centrifugal clutch, large sprocket, changed the springs to 18s, it wouldn't stop accelerating haha, I'm finely tuning the operations of it all together, so far it likes to blow engines, I think internal cooling might be an issue and spring pressure on the valves, have an oil pump and cooling kit that I hope works, wish me luck haha
A chinese 110cc ( honda clone) will do these speeds.every vid on these the atv or go kart they put it on goes remarkably slow, and they are always breaking the chain.i got a 110cc off ebay.easy to install, electric start and it will do 32 stock.

I used to ride my manco streaker with a techmseh 3.5 hp engine. I would tie a string to the carb and pull on the string to fully open the throttle plate. The engine was a tank Couldn’t blow that engine up. Still have it today haha. Would do 35 mph cruising. 50 downhill.
Thank you friend...probably need to clean the jets..there is one in the float bowl and one on the top of the carb under the black plastic Phillips screw that adjusts your idle...it just pops out after you unscrew the black screw..clean those and get back to me

I hope you pre-gap the spark plug. My nib 212cc predator had a bad gap and it backfired really fast losing all throttle power after 1/4 throttle twist

The best thing to do is mess with the gearing..but if u remove the governor you should put 18lb valve springs in it so the valves don't float

I got 32 on my governed 5 hp Briggs and Stratton so pretty much the same but out of a hundred dollar engine seems worth it!

3600 rpm = 3600 rpm the extra cc will just get you there faster.

Nothing wrong with a clutch if you dont pussy foot the throttle.
Besides...a TAV wont work on that chassis without massive fabrication.
