I’m getting a lot of comments about the deers and groundhogs in the city. I live on a dead end street. The lot next door is empty and never been developed before (5 acres). The deers never bothered my yard before until this spring. It’s like a small over grown park surrounded by houses on all sides. I hope this make sense lol
@@Sweetenv77 We live in Michigan zone 5 to 6. We have an acre of land with wet and dry sun and wet and dry shade and everything in between. We use cardboard in every garden type we have, even the produce garden and orchard areas. Cardboard is amazing as weed and grass control, as well as the establishment of healthy garden beds. The paper biodegrades after a couple of years, so you will have to reapply, but the number of weeds and grass will be manageable from there on out. **remember to remove the tape and staples, they are made of nasty stuff**
Hello Mrs. Moya. Please be careful of deer ticks and lymes disease. Please read my earlier comment from this video. I believe in giving people’s flowers while they live. Tell your family hello. God bless you.
Thank you! We miss you too. Love your garden, especially your hydrangeas! Purple is my current favorite color. I actually have purple Endless Summer this year. Btw, if you have time what size are the clay pots your hydrangeas are planted in? The ones in Hydrangea Lane?
I love "the neighbors are breaking their necks" !!! Sometimes I feel so proud when I see the neighbors staring at my garden when they walk by!! Your garden is beautiful!! Keep up the great work!
That's what I love about your channel is the realness and nothing is perfect. This is how it is will all of us and it's just reassuring to know we are all in the same place. AND you made me fall in love with the clearance section at the blue store. Best buy this season so far, 3 proven winners hibiscuses for a $1 each. 😍
I was inspired to go to Lowe’s and Home Depot this past Friday and I hit the mother load on the clearance rack. I spent only $40 for an assortment of plants mulch and river rock. I made a friend at the check out counter. I rescued two hydrangea plants off the clearance for half off. They were $25 regular price and I got them for $12 each. Score me. You are a fantastic representation of positive growing energy. I love your channel and all that you do. Can’t wait to see how all my plants explode next year. Thank you a lot.
I just love the enthusiasm in your voice for gardening!!! I have been gardening for nearly 40 years. It is exciting to see a younger generation embracing this fulfilling hobby!!! Happy Gardening!!!
I know the deer and groundhogs are giving you a hard time, but I LOVE your front garden bed this year. The purple and lime green colors together are just stunning.
So beautiful!! Good for you for not giving up in the face of so much adversity. Your persistence is rewarded by so much luciousness! I hope the twins and all the family are doing well. So happy to see another video. It's so inspirational.
the pink flowered plant is a Foxglove, not sure what variety but they self sow pretty well. Glad to hear your mom is able to come over, my SIL is from Jamaica. best, Sullivan
OMG you are hilarious, I absolutely love that you love hydrangeas as they are one of my favorite flowers, too! I am so happy you have come across so many of them. I too, love to shop the Home Depot clearance side of the plants and especially at Lowe’s. Happy you’re getting help with the children.
I came across your page by error but I see that you are like me to get the plants when they are half way on their legs and discounted and bring them home anf give them life. way to go. Wonderful gardens.
I am so glad I found your channel. Loving your videos. Love your enthusiasm. Your personality is so engaging. I look forward to watching all your videos.

Thanks to you I discovered the blue store’ discount section and I’m popping perennials in little by little. I have a 19000 sq ft lot so I have a lot of space to cover. I was using wildflowers like a cover until I could find an affordable way to find plants. Because of your advice, I now have started a hydrangea hedge.
Well I just subscribed to your channel. First time for you to show up!! I absolutely love love love you! You make it real❣️❣️ can’t wait to see more of you!! Thank you for this bright and beautiful morning show. Much love to you
As soon as I heard your voice I knew you were a fellow yardie so I subscribed before even getting through the first 3 mins😉. I'm new to flower gardening and your garden is definitely inspiration for my garden goals. Keep up the beautiful work.
I love you, your authenticity, and your passion! I love that you're genuine and it blows my mind that you've done so much with your newborns inside!!! 💞 My first year growing dahlias too and I am loving them!!!
It's wonderful to see another video from you! Everything looks perfect. Don't sweat it and don't apologize for anything. I was so happy to see your baby plants flourish like they are. xoxoxo
I just love your passion and the garden will look fantastic! Do me a favor and raise your birdbath and the other figurine with a terra cotta pot. Whitewash it like you did the other ones and turn it upside down so we can see those beautiful pieces. Great Job!
C Mac thanks for watching. My bird bath is too heavy and already tall enough for this space. As for the lady, she could use a boost. Thanks for the suggestions.
@@GardenAddictz My husband bought me two stone urns from a car boot sale (they are similar to a flea market) but they were too low. He made me concrete plinths by poring cement into a strong cardboard box. you cant see the plinths because they are surrounded by lavender..they look great.
Garden is looking beautiful, girl! And that plant you thought was a weed is a lovely foxglove. Let it go to seed and it’ll spread them everywhere. They’re usually a biennial that bloom in the second year, but yours looks to be blooming in the first ... score!
I use Melorganite to repel deer. They hate how it smells. I also live in the city with abandoned railroad bed behind me, lower Hudson Valley NY. Deer herds roaming the street. I am fenced with 5 ft black chain link fencing. I tie little sachet balls onto the outside of the fence that I make with either old pantyhose or those little Peds you try on shoes with. I also put it on the lawn with a spreader. You can also tie the sachets onto bamboo stake amongst your plants. I saw a deer today walk along my fence with his nose in the air sniffing and he just walked away. I just have too big of a garden to be spraying all the time. This works for me. Also, your pink plant is a foxglove as others have pointed out. Mine come out in the spring by July they are going to seed and I just take my hand and run it down the stalk so the seeds fall to the ground when I clean up the plants. I think you have a different variety.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your garden. Thank you so much for sharing. I found out about clearance plants from you but when I saw your Blush Hydrangea, I said to myself, "I need to go to the "blue" story this weekend." I enjoyed this video.
Missed you, too. I love that you are friends with gardeners I also follow. Between you and Yulia, I've been inspired to plant a hydrangea hedge to screen a chain link fence. I'm mixing varieties and incorporating a few other shrubs such as 'The Blues' Colorado blue spruce, Black Lace Elderberry, Coralberry and a few perennials in the pink and purple vein). I was thinking of getting a Limelight tucked in the shadowy end, but if you see Haas Halo Hydrangea, mmm! The leaves are dark green and the blooms are almost lacy like a lace cap variety except all are open. I'm going to be on the lookout.
Loved the tour. Psyched that you are discovering dahlias- they are amazing. Love your hydrangeas- I am also an addict. I have a hedge of ‘Pillow Talk’ that I can’t wait to see bloom for the first time this season. Thanks for showing us what you can do with flowers that might end up in the compost - inspirational!

Wow! Your Purple Rain garden is beautiful! I would never have guessed from looking at it that it had faced water and deer issues earlier in the season. At about the 13 minute mark, I think your mystery plant might be a foxglove? I love your whole yard, it is all gorgeous, and I love that you show that you don't need to be a millionaire to crate such a lovely space!

I have photos to send you when my phone is fixed. Mylime lights are glorious Lol. I purchased four of the them and they are flaking my back fence. You. They are spectacular. I am some what pleased .I have had to remove a few things because I had my tree cut back to much and my Hostas were burning up but other then that I have a good foundation. The other side of the house is full sun and it is pretty shabby. You have given me ideas for that side of the house also. That purple rain bed is everything. You rock keep on inspiring us.
Hydrangeas!!! Love Hydrangea Lane! They are all growing so well. They enjoy your talks with them. The area with the gate and the 3 pots on each side looks so good. The color combination is pretty. The gardens are coming together. Stay safe.
BEAUTIFUL!!! Mine is not half as grand and I only have an 11 yr old to take care of! You are in good company with having a difficult gardening year! I tried my hand at growing from seed, first successful year and I had rabbits nearly wipe out all that I grew from seed! Those pots at the gate look fantastic! And I LOVE the combo you have in your window box on the porch! I believe your mystery weed is either foxglove or penstemon. I almost pulled several snapdragons that I thought were weeds! Love plants that I don't have to pay for or labor growing!
Looks like a foxglove to me too, but... it's got blooms all around, which only hybrid foxgloves do, and those don't normally seed themselves well, so it's still a bit of a mystery!!
You are an inspiration to me. How you rescue plants, shop thriftily, love your gardens and are so hands-on with your beautiful (human) family. I look forward to your videos. Your excitement is infectious. 🥰
Goooorgeous garden! I really hope you can eventually show us how you divide them in the fall, that is the one thing I'm so afraid to do with my flowers. Btw, that pink "weed" is a foxglove. They're biennials and their seeds will keep giving you new blooms. One of my faves.
