Thank you for your great tips! I live in Las Vegas so I think the dry weather precludes a few of these plants from being successful, but I will surely use your advice!! Beautiful gardens and cat!!
I have found the scissor traps to be the absolute best for killing moles. I crush their tunnels down, then wait for the next fresh tunnel. Find a nice section with no forks in the soil and place in the center. Press soil down on each end after setting trap. Setting is as simple as stepping down on it, but if you do not catch one within a couple of days, move it. If it has not sprung, remove gently, then throw it on the ground away from you and it will spring itself. 😉 Happy hunting!! I'm so impressed you are able to grow this much with a deer problem, they clean me out before the plant ever blooms, and I have tried absolutely everything. Next..... electric fence!!
Am new to my area (heat and in my zone 7-8) and learning what grows in heat and doesn't. Again with out a lot of care due to health. Thank You for your show.
Love your beautiful garden, thank you for sharing. We moved off grid three years ago. We live in Zone 3a at 3700ft in a Douglas fir forest. I'm having fun learning what we can and can't grow. This new property is a brand new learning curve, I love the challenge. We do get deer, bear, grouse pressure certain times of the year.
Gorgeous!!!! I love purples too. I live in South Florida so I garden all year long. Biggest problem is the iguanas! They love flowering plants and though they are not native, they love it here and we can't seem to get them to leave. Thanks for the tour!
This video is great. I love seeing so many varieties of flowers for your garden and learn what's good for my zone. By the way for those moles I used grub killer.
Such a perfect beautiful garden. I am just a beginner and still learning. So far I know Generium is perrenial like full sun, drought tolerance and very easy to grow.
So happy I found your channel! Thank you for all the time and thoughtful advise you give to us. Love your gardens... I see all the hard work behind this show. Thank you again! 🇨🇦🌻🌲🍁🌸 I love flowers and trees and.., gardens..!
I am an herbalist, and Echinacea is a favorite immune system booster of mine! The orinal Purple has the most benefits, but I love all of the extra colors, jus for my flower garden...beautiful!
Gorgeous tour! I'm a new subscriber and have enjoyed your knowledge of the flora. I'm a newbie gardener and you are helping me with ideas and doing future research. I have a new home with a clean palette and you're inspiring me!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I'm just beginning to redo my Mother's old garden, and it was so helpful to see what certain plants look like after they have filled out. The creeping thyme will be in my yard this week!
I have two potted Gaura plants, and one is surrounded with Purple Pansies, and the other is surrounded by Scarlet Pimpernel.....the Gaura is now starting to spike and I am hoping the Pansies keep flowing over! The Scarlet Pimpernel is not a typical garden plant, as it is so invasive, but it can be contained so nicely, and it has shallow roots! :) ...I do Love my Whirling Butterflies!
Hello from Costa Rica! I love your garden! I live in a paradise too but it's a tropical one! Because we only have two seasons: the rainy season and the summer. So that's why in my garden I only have tropical plants like ginger, heliconias, and bird of paradise. Of course many of palms trees too. I'd like to grow up echinacea here, but I think it's impossible with our weather ☀️. I enjoyed the virtual tour, congratulations! Take care and keep going!
Wonderful garden pics and videos. Love your tips as well. I want to comment on the mole problem you are having. My garden center here in E. TN told me once that the moles are there because something is drawing them there. Moles eat grubworms, which eat the roots of your grass. So in order to get rid of the moles, you will need to get rid of the grubworms. Lowes, Home Depot, and your local garden centers sell a product that you spread on your lawn to get rid of the grubworms. The con to this spread is it will bring the worms to the top of the ground and then the birds eat them causing the birds to die. So you can't win for losing in the matter. Good luck. Keep the gardening pics and videos coming.
Your Gardens are Absolutely Beautiful. Thank you for sharing all those Perennials with us. Now I must go Shopping. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed day and Stay Safe my dear Friend. ❤😊❤
You have a beautiful garden. Those lavanders are looking healthy and vigorous., I had always planted lavander but they always die, I have stopped buying them. But I like the fragance and the blue flowers.
Thank you for sharing your Spring garden with us. Wishing you a good, and speedy recovery. I know being back in the garden will help. Can you tell us more about Louisia (blooming in David's head)? This is a new plant to many of us.
I love Gaura. I live where due to the rain the ground gets soggy and my gaura died, so I purchased 2 more and put them is really good potting mix and dynamic lifter in an old car tyre with mulch to keep down weeds. They are doing really. I use tyres because I cannot afford pots and tyres are free.
Thank you so much for a lots of knowledge about perennial plants. Wow I love your garden. It's so beautiful. Your previous video about Japanese Maple trees I love that so much to learn. Thanks. Komal.
What a beautiful garden!! So many different varieties of plants. Some plants are very familiar to me, we are at the same USDA zone probably. I saw lots of unfamiliar but gorgeous plants, gonna study them and try to add them to my garden.
This is my favorite drought tolerant garden that I now aspire to. It has all my wish list's plants! I want creeping thyme and coneflower so badly now, you just don't know 😫
Late comment on your old video, but that power box on the corner ..you can place boulders or stones around it, like you would around a raised bed. You could even make a tiny false deck to place on top like a lid over it, that you can lift/slide off. Just some ideas to work with. ;-)
Just discovered you and you can count me among your devoted fans! I’m so drawn to your calm and serene approach (your voice is so soothing!). What’s of primary importance to me is that your videos are so instructive and thorough. I’m discovering that many gardening channels on TH-cam seem to be geared more towards “take a look at my beautiful and extremely expensive garden and house”--which is not a horrible way to spend my time, but I’d like to learn something along the way as well. I’m going to do some bingeing of your videos now in search of things I’m obsessed with - roses, peonies, and anything that smells wonderful. Thanks so much for all your hard work - truly a labor of love ❤️
Amazing job you've done. Oh to dream. I'm just getting started on my border for the front of house we just purchased last year. Lots to learn. Will be following for all the help I can get. Congrats. Just beaytiful.
Absolutely Gorgeous!!! I just loved it! ❤️.. Thank you very much for inspiring me and giving some awesome ideas on what to grow here in Maine! .. You are The Best!!!
Love your garden 💕. I learned to garden (only plants, no food) last summer-2019. So happy to see a garden that has slopes. I live in Nashville, TN and my yard slopes in every direction. Still learning not only what what likes sun and/or shade, but what can tolerated heat, humidity and yr round rain. Thanks for the inspiration and advice to plant things closer together as well as layering with bricks, rocks, pots etc. throughout. Great video and beautiful garden!!
Moles are there to eat your grubs. I put the spread granules the killers the grubs. Moles have nothing to eat so they move on. You can get the stuff at Lowe’s or a farm supply store. It fixed my problem.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I'm so inspired. I inherited mom's house, with her plants and adding to it yearly. Live in Georgia 6-9 zone. So adding more direct sun perennials since 2017. Learning a lot from you. Planting in the am and wanted to find some more info. Thank you can't wait to see your other videos.
Your plant selections have proven to be years ahead of their time…a true trendsetter. Thank you
