The whole point of Marriage is to make your character stronger and to regenerate your limbs at the cost of party member and locking you out of Ending S. Sylvian's sigil already has the limb-healing property, and I have the impression that people are asking for Marriage mechanics solely for the sake of being horny and edgy. Funger was never about being edgy, but about making you and your character feel broken, helpless and hopeless. Besides, since Marriage is technically two people literally merged into one, it would break the festival rule where only one person will be able to get out of the town.
Yeah I agree, thematically it worked really well as a last resort to lose your individuality funger 1 but there’s no gameplay reason to have it in 2 and it wouldn’t fit the story either

My current Abella run is piss easy because I got the meat grinder relatively early. I have to finish that playthrough and enjoy the power trip before Miro humbles us all again.

Innocent bordering on Enlightened soul for me, by the looks of it, interesting for sure! I’ve been waiting for so long to see the soul type chart, I’m beyond excited! I really like how the four ‘cardinal directions’ have opposing types, but if you look close, the rest could also have their counterparts. Caressing vs dominating, halved vs blank, solitary vs changeling, radiating vs tormented. Really fascinating stuff!
Loving soul is interesting. Maybe a moonscorched form could be a sad person in a position to give a loving embrace but has a shadow with a bunch of monsters behind her as a representative of a person who just wants to love but has trauma barriers. The monsters appear in front of her randomly and attack. When they’re gone she does nothing.

I've been meaning to get back into F&H2 Termina. I'm so happy to hear Miro/Orange was able to recreate the content he lost from the laptop incident. Being able to see more things about our player characters is so hype. I've gotten rather attached to Daan. He reminds me of James Sunderland, but with hella drip.

Lamenting the lack of marriages in future plans, but the idea of whole new areas and enemies has to be the thing that's got me the most excited because, well, the artistic style and the narratives it carries are the heart and soul of F&H, as far as am concerned, so there's never enough new content to simply play through.

I don't think marriages are possible here because of how messy the events happen and how many characters you have to talk to and crap, would be nice, but it just wouldn't work in this game like it did in the prequel

Endings would be nice, currently there's two paths you either murder everyone, or you click 3 computer switches because of a map in a basement. Neither of which really suit the games themes, compared to the original. Not that hard to implement either, for example killing dopplegangers could immunize contestants from being moon scorched, so instead of kill the contestants its kill the fakes to open the tower.

i had to do a bit of math to figure out which soul i was, considering my bday is right in the middle of october. but it's a 31 month day, and that'd put me firmly into the Enlightened soul. i can vibe sharing a soul type with Enki.

This is so hype! I actually just got the game and have been loving it. I might take a break and wait for the update so it feels like that stuff was always there for me lol. The game already has so much, and so much replay value, so it's cool the dev is still adding a ton!
With fishing being added and looking so out of place, my bet is that it would have a chance or a condition to acomplish that would trigger a fight with something like the salmonsnake from fear and hunger 1. You can find a salmonsnake rune in prehevil after all with indicates that the locals are aware of such creature. But if it was a new thing, i would be happy with a monster of the loch ness type of creature. Funilly enough, if fishing ended up really having the chance of trigging a fight(maybe depending on the type of bait you use), that would make fear and hunger a little weird step closer to terraria (enter a dungeon, figh sketeons and soldiers, return home, fight cultist, and then kill the moon god, with some fishing in between each step, of course)
Terraria is so similar to funger now that I’m thinking about it, the devs of each game just add whatever random stuff they find cool at the time and somehow it just fits in the game perfectly always
I am just realizing the weird revelation that fishing someone finds its way into RPGs more often than you'd. And now we must include Sonic in that list thanks to Sonic Frontiers. Yes, by definition, it is an action RPG mechanically.
I doubt this'll get implemented but I'm actually hoping for more special encounters since I find those exciting. be it via rng, triggered by prior special dialogues or depending on day/time and location. such as moonscorched(ms) caligura and marcoh duking it out, or samarie joining midfight when you attack marina(same goes for their ms forms), or rancid the sergal finishing off random mobs or even contestants, certain contestants participating in marriage, stitches capturing and you-know-what contestants just like with needles, ms abella escaping the tunnels and destroying mobs and sections of the town, and so on.

I'm assuming one of the new dungeon locations will be the train station. For the longest I expected making it to the train station would be one of the escape/endings options.
oh i'm so excited for this update!!!!! tivoli means a carnival by the way! and i was so happy to see the weird mirrors, because thats actually something one of finland's most known amusement parks has - a mirror hall leading up to the parks bathrooms! the location seems similar and it's so cool!

I've been meaning to get back into F&H2 Termina. I'm so happy to hear Miro/Orange was able to recreate the content he lost from the laptop incident. Being able to see more things about our player characters is so hype. I've gotten rather attached to Daan. He reminds me of James Sunderland, but with hella drip.

Funger rekindled some of the love for gaming again, I played like in my teens obsessed for a whole weekend, then the next, and the next.
the new tivoli area is funny to me because tivoli is a real themepark in copenhagen and i was there two days ago as i am writing this comment so that is a funny coincidence, sadly i dont think you can draw parreles between them because there are alot of different themes in the irl tivolo and to me it looks the tivoli in game is just a standard themepark so to speak.
I so need those lore dumps, the way we get to see more about the characters REALLY makes me excited!!

"I forgot to get a screenshot of this when my internet was up, so I took a screenshot on my phone. I had to walk for ten minutes to get reception. But, thanks to the genius of apple.. iphones make it a huge pain to access images. you can't even use it as a USB to share files. So I took a picture of my phone screen to actually get it in. Funnily enough my camera proved helpful moving the voice files for this video from my pc to my laptop, as the network router has died here. I spent an hour looking for a USB before remembering that my camera basically functioned as one because of the SD card. Then today, I found a USB anyway go figure. Our net still isn't back up lol, I'm probably uploading this by stealing bakery wife" at 8:30

Lamenting the lack of marriages in future plans, but the idea of whole new areas and enemies has to be the thing that's got me the most excited because, well, the artistic style and the narratives it carries are the heart and soul of F&H, as far as am concerned, so there's never enough new content to simply play through.

I think they're some of the most unique, visually interesting aspects of the setting but I totally understand the lack of interest on getting back into the morbid or explicit parts of the deal (don't much care for those myself), specially with the kind of people who enjoyed them when that wasn't the point of having such things in the game.
I don't think marriages are possible here because of how messy the events happen and how many characters you have to talk to and crap, would be nice, but it just wouldn't work in this game like it did in the prequel

Endings would be nice, currently there's two paths you either murder everyone, or you click 3 computer switches because of a map in a basement.
Neither of which really suit the games themes, compared to the original.
Not that hard to implement either, for example killing dopplegangers could immunize contestants from being moon scorched, so instead of kill the contestants its kill the fakes to open the tower.

With fishing being added and looking so out of place, my bet is that it would have a chance or a condition to acomplish that would trigger a fight with something like the salmonsnake from fear and hunger 1. You can find a salmonsnake rune in prehevil after all with indicates that the locals are aware of such creature.
But if it was a new thing, i would be happy with a monster of the loch ness type of creature.
Funilly enough, if fishing ended up really having the chance of trigging a fight(maybe depending on the type of bait you use), that would make fear and hunger a little weird step closer to terraria (enter a dungeon, figh sketeons and soldiers, return home, fight cultist, and then kill the moon god, with some fishing in between each step, of course)
Terraria is so similar to funger now that I’m thinking about it, the devs of each game just add whatever random stuff they find cool at the time and somehow it just fits in the game perfectly always

I am just realizing the weird revelation that fishing someone finds its way into RPGs more often than you'd. And now we must include Sonic in that list thanks to Sonic Frontiers. Yes, by definition, it is an action RPG mechanically.
I doubt this'll get implemented but I'm actually hoping for more special encounters since I find those exciting. be it via rng, triggered by prior special dialogues or depending on day/time and location.
such as moonscorched(ms) caligura and marcoh duking it out, or samarie joining midfight when you attack marina(same goes for their ms forms), or rancid the sergal finishing off random mobs or even contestants, certain contestants participating in marriage, stitches capturing and you-know-what contestants just like with needles, ms abella escaping the tunnels and destroying mobs and sections of the town, and so on.
