Fear and Hunger 3? Ladies and gentlemen, this singular man named Miro has beaten a full on game studio at making trilogies go up to three. (Where is left 4 dead 3?)
If we're gonna (meta) bury this series in the third game, I think the missing element is gonna be a theme of breaking cycles. Both 1 and 2 place great emphasis on the cyclical nature of conflict, and how humanity keeps making the same mistakes thinking we're smarter than our ancestors. Le'garde's speeches in 2 have him yapping about how he used to seek godhood and making "sacrifices for the greater good" when he was young, and how that's a mistake he won't make again. While literally standing in the town he razed in order to oversee Logic's birth and control her. imo, a third game that closes the series and is the meta/thematic end of everything, would need to delve into people finally being humble enough to admit there's things we can't control, and that using violence to exert control never works for long. I can see something like an ultimate sacrifice where the protagonists end their lives in an attempt to free their loved ones or even each other from Logic and Le'garde's world, and whoever survives the ordeal draws a hard line to never seek this power again, and do whatever they can to help people and live their lives as just that, people. The lesson would have to be about how love is the only thing that makes life worth living and that's a beauty that no gods or vampires or military empires can ever hope to replace. Love is what makes us survive, through even fear and hunger.
That makes a lot of sense. I wonder if it being a more "personal" story means an acceptance that humanity as a whole will never stop, but individual people can?
It's not officially announced yet, but he's started some planning. He won't start real work on it until after this next Termina patch, but Termina will still be the priority for a little while
In my opinion, French Revolution or rather some F&H equivalent (Rondonian Revolution?) would be great set for the next game. -Bloody mass psychosis: executions on the streets, carnage in the Palace, fire in the Cathedra, gore and madness in "Paris". -Gothic horror era: a lot of dark inspirations from the Georgian/Victorian era, Vampires in wigs practicing occultism etc. -Golden age of Free-masonry: Conspiracy theories, Secret societies influencing the world from behind the curtain. -Cultural shift in Europe (Europa): Competition between the Old Gods and New Gods, Superstition of Old Beliefs vs Arrogancy of Enlightenment. -Romanticism begin, people fear the Unknown again.
@@BaronElBardo if it is centered around Vinushka, I'll be so happy. the owl cultists and sassy frogs were great. seeing full funger forest politics would be cool.
That's what i was thinking. It feels very in line with WoD and the Modern Nights. A world where the monsters are hiding in the shadows. Twilight and the Warriors fit the gang/coteries of vampires as they vie for power within the domain.
Here's my wishlist, not in order : - I really hope he makes connections with the other games not as blatant as possible. Just like Nashrah being an item "exclusive" to O'saa or August being a Ragnavaldr descendant but being the most secretive contestant and not playable. - I want the setting to be before the 2000's (70's-80's would be perfect) and I also hope we could have different mood in different areas just like the Ruins/Forest/Old Town/Foundation of Decay/Church are all so different. That's a thing that makes the 1st game kinda repetitive sometimes. (preference for Neon, retro vibes) - I want to face dilemmas just like a Don't Nod game (for those who know) where the choices you make are very engaging. Fun thing is, they have made Vampire based game being Vampyr and they nailed it with the vampire lifestyle, complicated relationships and moral dilemmas. - I want more side plots/easter eggs that are still relevant to the lore like the Heartless One, Cockroach King, etc. - I want a revamp of the Hexen like Miro did from 1 to 2. - I want DoT's to be nerfed and more different playstyles - I want to be able to play savior runs, neutral runs and g*nocidal runs. - I want 5 endings just like F&H1 and also a return of S endings - I want more gods lore
I would love to see him lean into some "the thing" related horror. For example imagine you could have the shapeshifters join your party and attack you randomly. But personally, i love his amalgamation of horror into over arching plot points and whatever i would like to see in termina, or a fear & hunger 3, i wouldn't want any 1 theme to overshadow another.
I imagine a dark city on Vinland full of cultists and people running from stuff (Since who in their right mind would go to Vinland unless they're a fugitive or something, it's like the Alaska of the FH world) where various gang-like cults and organizations are fighting behind the scenes, and the main character ends up involved in it somehow.
I’m not sure if this is too big of an ask of Miro, but I really hope that Vinushka being the vessel for Logic (as is heavily hinted at in Termina) is built upon in F&H3’s themes or lore. For example, looking at the balance between collectivism and individualism. If F&H3 has gangs or brotherhoods as per his stated inspirations, you could easily explore how these groups make and emphasize distinctions between them and yet require individual members within to act and sacrifice to benefit the group. Hell, you could even use this as a way to have the narrative to further interrogate/explore Le’garde’s motives. Even the setting being Vinland/the US and how it both champions individualism but still has the one of the largest armies in the world would be ripe for commentary and exploration of this idea. Obviously there are other human-centered diametric themes that could work, but I really hope at least some are incorporated.
I smell a potential "Midnight Animal situation". Midnight Animal was a very hyped up mod for the beloved Hotline Miami series, but the creator somewhere along the way changed his inspirations a bit, particularly citing persona and its positivity as a big one (you can see the persona inspiration in some of Miro's early termina sketches). Midnight animal eventually had a bit of an anime artstyle and the community took it really badly, since after all a gaming community revolving around a very violent niche game wasn't exactly going to be known for its compassion and open-mindedness. All of this debacle took a tool on the creator and he eventually dropped it entirely more or less. Fear and Hunger also has a somewhat rabid fanbase clamoring after that same violent, tense atmosphere from the originals, so to shift that into full gear teen romance is definitely a bold move. Could be more trouble than its worth. Im sure that even if the game is spitingly different from the originals, it would still have that same intelligence and creativity that the other two games had, but ngl 2027+ release date is damn depressing. I don't even know if I'm gonna see this happening. It was a wild ride up until this point anyhow, it was nice to see it.
I think a good way that Miro could truly end the series is by making it so that whatever “Ending A” or “Ending S” is the one of the main characters essentially learning to reject the need for any god, any higher power and believe in themselves. A big part of magic especially in the first game is that humans are actually capable of doing all the magic they do without gods, but because even the most megalomaniacal person is held back by inhibition, humans need gods to do those things. Someone learning how to completely reject the need for any greater power and believe in themselves and their abilities and teach humans to do the same could easily erase the gods completely.
I would like the concepts of fear and hunger to be a little more prevalent. I'm not saying that the relevant god needs to appear or even be mentioned. I just want the titular concepts to play a role, even if it's subtle and not directly pointed out.
I feel you missed an important thing in FF7. I don't know how relevant it may or may not be, but: A major plot point is that Holy might wipe all human life from the planet. It destroys all threats to the planet, and there's tension over whether or not humans, who use Mako energy ripped straight from the lifestream, blighting the land, might be destroyed along with meteor. The fact that the game skips from Holy being activated to an unknown number of years later where Midgar is overrun by plant life means that the answer is actually ambiguous as to whether everyone live happily ever after or not. Aaaand then the sequel movie came out and went "Nah, humans were fine." Which sucks, IMO, but hey.
We all know hunger and fear at part 1 but on part 2 we are only feel the fear because we can find food at any places I hope that part 3 (if that true) will bring back the hunger and more fear to us (im not eng man so maybe some word wrong)
Looking at Termina... Nah, we peaked with the first game, Termina is a downgrade from the previous game in almost every way Unless we will have Dark Souls - like situation where we have a comeback with third game
I could see this game having something to do with the death of magic itself, the villains being people not even with magical power but people who believe in anything magical and want the world to escape logic and become anything else.
thank you for these info compilation videos cause god damn, between all the stuff miro tweets and chats about on discord, it's kinda hard to keep up also, love the model!
Yall remember that part at the first part of GTA: San Andreas with gangs and turfs, now imagine that in Fear and Hunger, you go tag some other monstrosities turf and drive by them. You character is some mage or immortal warrior who lived from ancient times all the way to the present and saw all shit in F&H 1/2, that goes. "Aw shit here we go again." Secret weapon is some arcane baseball bat possibly with spikes or tentacles. I know it's not much but it's honest speculation for next game.
can we add JoJo to his minor inspirations? going from world changing events to a mundane setting with low stakes its just part 4 and a hard page of the "How to" book from Hirohiko Araki
Space Exploration Game in the Dead Space style. Or Full modern day with they own weird version of the Internet. Imagine 7even, but you investigating the sulfur cult. Could be wild.
Given Miro said not to take the vampire thing too literally he could be referencing social vampires/Emotional Vampires, which would be a fitting theme for destruction or rather self-destruction. Also it should be noted one of the minor inspirations, Shin Megami Tensei/MegaTen, usually involves someone reaching out to the gods. For some examples: In the original novel the series is originally based on the protagonist Nakajima reaches out to the god Loki. The film Tokyo Revelation has the main antagonist reach out to Ose a Duke of hell. The third installment SMT Nocturne has the characters that represent a reason summon a god via sacrifice that they fuse with, the protagonist himself can also align with Lucifer if the player so chooses. Take this information as you will.
The fact that Miro is prepared to make a game that he thinks a lot of the fanbase will not like is really brave and I hope the fanbase will not become ultra-retarded
I really like the creative choice of setting the background of a rich and dense world for several iterations of series, only to have the series end on the note of a very intimate personal story. You have the greater context of the world around the character, how nations rose and fell. You even have the occult creation myth, and how the modern era rose from those ancient ashes. However you use all that pre-amble just to give context to a person living in a world, and their need for community, and possibly even love. It would be really interesting to see Miro use this premise to explore interpersonal relationships, and the horrific need to belong in a society that alienates you. Logic is supposed to be the greater mind link of consciousness, but what happens to those who don’t fit into that ‘utopian collective’? I also am grinning ear to ear picturing an occult cyberpunk future filled with magic based gangs and alchemical drug dealers. I hope Miro takes his time to iron out what ever concept he has!
So here's my takeaways in the major inspirations: - Each story has people who start in one group that end up pushed to join another group while having to face a much greater threat from those who seem like them but are fundamentally different. (Twilight has good vampires vs bad vampires, Warriors vs Rogues, FF7 has humans and Cetra vs Jenova and Sephiroth). - Each story features a world that is different in the light of day (i.e. what is known to everyone) vs the dark underbelly (i.e. the 'truth'). - Each story features someone who is a somewhat unreliable narrator or stars a central protagonist with a distorted view of the world. Bella is so obsessed with Edward that she'll allow him to do things that she'll say is creepy when other guys do it. Swan probably had a more positive outlook on his own gang and world before the movie began vs how it ended. Cloud has had his memory distorted by a few different events. - Each story has a group that ends up trying to protect someone innocent from a massive threat. - Each story has the main team running afoul of the law/central authority figures. - Each story has two people having a chance meeting that results in an important connection and/or romance. On the wishlist: - I can see catgirls and elves being new icons that Logic hides behind to influence people, just like modern vTubers. Since the tech levels are going to be different from our world, I wouldn't put it past Funger's creator to recreate them with differing technology. - The Yellow Mages might have become Vampires and might be under the influence of Nas'Rah. I could see Nas'rah using them as a more efficient means to get the meat he needs to create a new body for himself. - Le'Garde's influences will likely be the key to the more positive / beneficial routes for Funger 3.
Something to note with VTM is it also has that 'found family' theme within it as well. The terminology suggests that with the whole idea of 'embracing' new 'kin' when creating new vampire generations. The feuds between which way kindred ought to behave in modern society is also representative of the themes of a cycle and breaking said cycle also; the Masquerade; the Sabbat, Anarch, etc. Moreover, when looking beyond VTM and the world of darkness chronicles as a whole; similar to twilight and FF7, the theme of werewolves being present and synonymous with eco-warriors of a sort is likewise apparent.
@@MautheDoog Side question, will you be making more Vermis Lore videos or cover Plastiboo's newest book Godhusk? th-cam.com/video/o2mak2POuTI/w-d-xo.html
Hmmm. The thing of the gods being weaker. I could see LOGIC, as the god of the internet, could be cool. Also, Abela ending being canon, could make the moon landing an awesome thing in funger world.
Considering this, Twilight probably being a hint that Griffit- I mean Legarde will be back in some form (inhuman human Character), coinciding with the Final Fantasy VII inspiration, where a 'clone' or 'backup body' of Legarde is trying to resist the fate placed upon him by his progenitor. The Warriors is probably a hint that there will be rival gangs, or cults, or organizations that are trying to foil, help, or steal for their own benefit whatever new ritual or plan that Legarde has.
Also with the FFVII thing, I hope this means that Moonless will be back, if not one of her descendants, and now they're a talking wolf that tags along like how RedXIII was.
@@MautheDoog Funny in hindsight if this were the case, because Ragnvaldr/August or another descendant is the Cloud expy and now it's family tradition to hunt down any and all of Legarde's 'Blood Golems'. "HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON, (twink) OLD MAN?!"
Vampires do exist in Funger though, just not LITERAL vampires. There is a weapon description that directly refers to creatures that we would consider a vampire, or ghoul, or "Lord of the Night" lol. That's also assuming that the God of Ultra Violence didn't eradicate them or send them into hiding back in the dark ages. Maybe that is the direction Miro is going to go because he already planted that seed, or maybe it was a throw away line long forgotten.
Found it, it was the Sabbath weapon. It directly referred to the witch and vampire hunts conducted by the church. So it could have been propaganda from the church to create a literal witch hunt, but it wouldn't make sense to refer to vampires (a word that shouldn't exist if they don't exist. Like in the Walking Dead how zombie media doesn't exist so the word zombie doesn't exist.) I would like to think that he had these seeds planted this entire time. We shall see though.
While Miro made no mention of it, keep Digital Devil Saga in mind as its plot, ideas, and themes line up with what Miro has mentioned regarding what he’s looking for with Funger 3’s production
Your idea for F&H3 sounds pretty neat! Personally I'd like to see a Fear & Hunger that takes place over two different time periods (say, the 1990s and 2030s). You have two completely different parties, one for each era: as you might expect, decisions from the past can affect your future party; but, strangely enough, some decisions in the future can also echo back and affect the past party... As a simple example: let's say the past party uses dynamite to blow up some debris blocking a tunnel. In the future, the party can now use that tunnel as a shortcut. Simple enough. Conversely, let's say the future party does a quest for an NPC who mentions an exchange he made with the past party. After talking to him in the future, the past party can encounter him and trade weapons with him. The next time the future party goes to talk to that NPC, he has passed on and has willed the traded weapon to the party, allowing a sort of weapon transfer from the past to potentially get a weapon you otherwise wouldn't be able to. Endings would be determined by whether one or both parties survive to an ultimate end. As for the method of swapping back and forth, I imagine it might be related to beds and saving much like the first two games place emphasis on those methods; but it could also be something completely new.
Personally i would love if the part twilight inspired in the story was the sparkle they have in sunlight. Just because of the absolute visceral reaction that plot point had when twilight first came into being, and miro made it work somehow.
I like your theory of this game play that follows two lovers on what is basically opposing sides of one coin in whatever the social climate will be in Fear & Hunger 3. Both sides doing what they believe is best in hopes of saving their companion but ultimately being met with unrevokable choices that sink both further into destruction. There is a game called “Pandora’s Tower” which follows a protagonist who basically slays monsters and feed their hearts to his lover in an attempt to return her to humanity. However, it’s obvious that the very act in itself is anything but humane. Anyway, thank you as always for the Copium for my Fear & Hunger Fiending!
Right off the bat I’m so excited about this, Twilight is a guilt pleasure of mine and I’m really curious as to how it’s going to inspire the game. AND VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE? THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE A BANGER
Rumors have it that FEH 3 will have a new soul type: the Ballin' One. The possesor of which would be a famous sportsman (foot, basket or baseball through background choice) joining the spaceshutle heading to the mars base for their sponsor. Their ultimate soul move being the Slam Jam which lets them throw a ball so hard it hits every enemy for unblockable damage and even has a chance of insta killing. My source? R'her itself told me. Trust me.
If anyone watches the Warriors and wants more of it, there's a Rockstar developed, semi-open world brawler where you can play through the events of the movie. One of the best games ever, you can steal radios from cars and beat up cops
Pocket cat could be a beautifully terrifying encounter in a modern more low key setting. Pure terror especially if the "power" characters hold is a lot less. Especially if we play as children/teenagers?
I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but F&H universe already has it's own vampires, it's own take on petty immortals that control humans from the shadows, who believe themselves to be all mighty and powerful but can't hold a candle against the power of the true God(s). Yeah, I'm talking about the new gods. I really hope vampires in F&H 3 are connected to the new gods somehow
I would like that it was in a more modern era with an unique internet system, or maybe something more cyberpunk, because if the first game was in the medieval times and the second one after a World War, then the third one could be in a futuristic society
you are missing something huge and that is that Logics goal is to absorb every human in herself by the artificial green and make ALL of humanity ascend not just a few
The only tragedy I can imagine that fits all criteria would be some kind of time recursion. Perhaps one or both of the lovers wish to go back in time to save the life of the other. They think it will be like an isekai but their mind is wiped too, cursed to make the same mistakes endlessly. And/or the rewind goes too far and we find out a character from the first game is one of them, still doomed in a perpetual loop.
My thoughts on what Miro has said about what each story represents and what Funger 3 will represent. Funger 1 = Creation: Mankind long sought a way to ascend to the heavens and gain the power of the gods, for better or for worse. I liked how you pointed out that humanity cannot grasp the divine, and how that may create something of a stunted god, with a limited understanding of their own godhood because they would be too invested in the affaires of humanity. But either way, mankind succeeded in creating two gods, one for better and one for worse it seems given the lore centered around Allmer. Though I get the impression it wasn't the gods that were created that will have the most bearing on the series, and that it may not be their origins that the creation is in reference too. Considering countless people before the events of Funger 1 found the throne and ascended, but each of them struggled to leave any sort of meaningful change in the world, their attempts at creating life only resulting in shambling husks and monsters, their attempts at enlightening the masses only resulting in tribalism and fighting amongst themselves and people diving deeper into superstition and never getting any closer too the true nature of the very gods they worship and sought to emulate. Even the old gods seemed to struggle at creating meaningful change in humanity that didn't ultimately either failure or some twisted version of what they'd hoped to achieve it seems. Such as Allmer's origins, and Marriages, and even Rher with their moonscorchings attempts to reveal the true natures of humanity. I suspect its more too do with what each of the characters went on too create with their actions in the dungeons of Fear and Hunger. Cahara, through his kindness too the small child that would become the god of Fear and Hunger, taught her of the existence of compassion, and even escorted her. In a way its about this new god's ascension, but I feel Cahara's actions that are more important than the god that was formed as a result of them. Because from what I understand, most monsters were the result of the god of the depths, but since the child's ascension, the number of monsters emerging from the depths seems to have ceased in Funger 2, and I can't help but think this is entirely due too Cahara's actions. Ragnvaldr, despite his lack of divinity, went on too create an era of peace for humanity by exterminating many monsters and creatures that plagued mankind, no doubt most of which owe their origins too the previous god of the depths. And as a direct result of this, monsters that were once apparently fairly common knowledge, are now considered myths and legends in Funger 2. Enki, managed to not only gain more insight into the old gods and their true natures, but managed to actually bring this profound knowledge and understanding too the rest of humanity better than all the new gods combined. As too what the full ramifications of this are is hard too say, but the skin bibles effects on the world seem far more permanent and comprehensible than both the Old and New gods efforts thus far in the setting. D'arce, thanks too her devotion too Le'garde, managed too revive Le'garde as a twisted version of his old self, which in itself was creating something new as well, and as a result, the Le'garde homunculus, though blood thirsty and twisted, was able to go on too create Logic in Funger 2, ushering in a new age for all of mankind. (Note: I will say, I believe the Le'garde dying ending too be the canon one, considering the emphasis on the fact that the New Gods are doomed to the metaphysical retirement home and becoming obscure and irrelevant as a result. So if Le'garde survived Funger 1 and used the throne, pretty sure he'd just be trapped in the retirement home with all the other new gods by the time Funger 2 rolled around.) Funger 2 = Growing pains & Change: The growing pains here seems like they take the form of the old ways clashing with the modern times, and how a big change in the world is that the average person doesn't really have a reason to deal with the supernatural side of the world, no doubt thanks too Ragnvaldr's actions in reducing a once common threat too nothing more than legends and myths. While those who know at least part of the truth of their world, such as the Le'garde homunculus, were free to pursue scientific advancements and methods in understanding the supernatural. Leading too radical changes in the world, but also the growing pains, which I feel are represented in the form of the Sulphur cultists, trying to cling too the old ways and traditions, but ultimately, all their actions feel ultimately meaningless, and perhaps exemplifying things too come in Funger 3, where people are still not satisfied with the world and seek to free themselves from it through harnessing the powers of what remains of the gods, but each of the cultists ultimately losing what made them human to begin with in the process, becoming sick parodies of their former selves, and existing only to indulge their darkest fantasies. Funger 3 = Destruction (At least in a meta sense), I feel like Funger 3 is going too deal with the consequences of humanity finally grasping that which its sought since the beginning, Assuming Logic is going to play a role in it, humanity could finally grasp easy and convenient enlightenment en mass. And a form of Immortality as a result. But there in lies the problem, once humanity has a achieved immortality, what's left there to pursue? What hill is left too climb? What challenge is there that can't be solved simply by waiting an eternity. Alternatively, it could also deal with the threat of technological over dependence, such as trying too find meaning in a eternity in a simulation. Would humanity choose a virtual illusion that promises them a feeling of meaning and deeper purpose, or the harsh unending truth of eternity? And much like what the Sulfur cultists, once they relinquish themselves too either choice, can they even call themselves human anymore? They who no longer know fear or hunger? *Note, these are just my thoughts on that section of the video and what Miro mentioned about what Funger 3 is going to likely represent in the overall story, I'm just a scrub who likes the series, so I might be wrong about a lot of things.
We play as L'Egard an ancient Vampire a pathetic shadow of what he was because playing the bad guy is always more fun And as you recover and grow even more powerful eventually you face again your obsession and hated the god of Fear and Hunger with both ends being Mutual Destruction and L'Garde losing With out of the park endings by facing the machine god and sulfur god
Wait, do you think he's trying to make a world of darkness-like game? I'm not opposed to this, I just hope it takes inspiration from World of Darkness outcasts. I hope for Fear and Hunger 3 that the player characters can turn into moonscorch without Losing control to them Straight away, hopefully, if he does this he uses the VTM humanity system, So there's a struggle to retain what humanity you have left. p.s This was written before seeing minor inspiration😂
Personal opinion, Ending A is canon, with Olivia activating Logic The B endings of Daan, Abella, O'saa, and Karin also being likely canon, due to leaving the most possible sequel hooks (Daan becoming Pocketcat, Abella enabling the Moon landing, O'saa starting a new religion, and Karin researching and exposing the supernatural - O'saa and Karin essentially have the potential of becoming the new Enki) The fates of the remaining character is ambiguous, they could have escaped or they could have joined Olivia when activating Logic

In my opinion, French Revolution or rather some F&H equivalent (Rondonian Revolution?) would be great set for the next game.

-Gothic horror era: a lot of dark inspirations from the Georgian/Victorian era, Vampires in wigs practicing occultism etc.

I really really wanna see fear and hunger go into the future with some cyber horror or do some ocean horror
cyber horror would be sick
I was thinking it could definitely take inspiration from the manga Blame!
@@Ushankov yes! Another fellow worshipper from the church of Blame! I picked it up last month and now I see people talking about it everywhere

@@TheNoMoreGamer But for real though, Blame! has a lot of cyber horror that could really work in a future/cyberpunk themed FH game
Here's my wishlist, not in order :
- I really hope he makes connections with the other games not as blatant as possible.
(preference for Neon, retro vibes)
- I want to face dilemmas just like a Don't Nod game (for those who know) where the choices you make are very engaging.
- I want DoT's to be nerfed and more different playstyles
- I want to be able to play savior runs, neutral runs and g*nocidal runs.
- I want 5 endings just like F&H1 and also a return of S endings
- I want more gods lore
If you're reading this in a future where F&H3 has been realised get off your flying cars and tell me Marina is still alive (plz)
She is blud. Thrust me.
(Time traveller ova here)
I’m not sure if this is too big of an ask of Miro, but I really hope that Vinushka being the vessel for Logic (as is heavily hinted at in Termina) is built upon in F&H3’s themes or lore.
LeGarde tries to become a baseball god; fails.
Can't wait to fight the God of Baseball in Funger 3
It's over Caharabros...
A love story for the ending does make sense if your interpretation of the lore being a result of the love of Gro-goroth and Sylvian is correct
I’m fucking obsessed with both Miro’s work and the early 2000’s so I’m eager to see what comes.
Literally SCREAMED when I saw my artwork at 20:09 !! Thanks so much for including and linking it < 3
I think a good way that Miro could truly end the series is by making it so that whatever “Ending A” or “Ending S” is the one of the main characters essentially learning to reject the need for any god, any higher power and believe in themselves.
VTUBER JUMPSCARE.
Le Garde gonna be either just a passing memory or a menace again
hoping for menace
I hope Funger 3 takes place in the Vatican, since many of funger 2’s characters have history with it and even funger 1 mentions the Vatican
I would like the concepts of fear and hunger to be a little more prevalent. I'm not saying that the relevant god needs to appear or even be mentioned.
I just want the titular concepts to play a role, even if it's subtle and not directly pointed out.
FF7 materia system in F&H3, confirmed 👌🏻
As probably the only fan of fear and hunger that loves twilight this was a great way to start the video and the month
I feel you missed an important thing in FF7. I don't know how relevant it may or may not be, but:
A major plot point is that Holy might wipe all human life from the planet.
Aaaand then the sequel movie came out and went "Nah, humans were fine."
Which sucks, IMO, but hey.
"Do you have Fear and Hunger in this timeline?"
"No, we have Horrified and Starving"
We all know hunger and fear at part 1 but on part 2 we are only feel the fear because we can find food at any places
I hope that part 3 (if that true) will bring back the hunger and more fear to us (im not eng man so maybe some word wrong)
It would be nice if they introduce the unknown "older gods" like sarco from the archives of Logic itself
We know that it’s going to be peak
Looking at Termina... Nah, we peaked with the first game, Termina is a downgrade from the previous game in almost every way
Unless we will have Dark Souls - like situation where we have a comeback with third game

Both games are peak in their own right, and have their strengths and weaknesses
What I’m basically hearing is that the next Funger Game is literally the World of Darkness
Damn now I want to date the giant green squid goddess in Dungeon Nights 3.
you can try in the first game, but she snuu snuu's you
I could see this game having something to do with the death of magic itself, the villains being people not even with magical power but people who believe in anything magical and want the world to escape logic and become anything else.
thank you for these info compilation videos cause god damn, between all the stuff miro tweets and chats about on discord, it's kinda hard to keep up
also, love the model!
Miro should read the V5 VtM books. O'saa is clearly a Tremere, Daan is a Salubri, and Samarie is Malkavian, for example.
Also, saying VtM is similar to twilight is a step on a lego kind of offense, real vampires don't sparkle.
Shin Megami Tensei mentioned! What is overcoming existential dread!?
Can't wait to ONE MORE GOD REJECTED
can we add JoJo to his minor inspirations? going from world changing events to a mundane setting with low stakes its just part 4 and a hard page of the "How to" book from Hirohiko Araki
Huh. The Warriors was based on The March of the Ten Thousand? Neat.
Fear and hunger 33!!!😭❤️
Space Exploration Game in the Dead Space style.
Or
Full modern day with they own weird version of the Internet.
I still like thinking (head canon) abella became a rocket scientist to get revenge on rher / the moon
Imagine Fear and hunger set in unit 731
You said "Lord's of the night" so much I was worried Curze might show up
I believe the world is the one being destroyed, and the lovers sacrifice themselves to restart the world...
Very much like Sylvan and Gro-Goroth.
"Crow Mauler and The Chaser enemies are an example of this..." You mean Samarie? hahahaha
So here's my takeaways in the major inspirations:
- Each story has people who start in one group that end up pushed to join another group while having to face a much greater threat from those who seem like them but are fundamentally different.
On the wishlist:
- I can see catgirls and elves being new icons that Logic hides behind to influence people, just like modern vTubers.

Legarde being a kind of Sephiroth makes a lot of sense. It's very likely he has a flesh pillar like the one in the church
When you started describing what Funger 3 will be in the Fear & Hunger 3 section, my mind instantly jumped to Eternal Darkness.
Like in the Walking Dead how zombie media doesn't exist so the word zombie doesn't exist.)
I would like to think that he had these seeds planted this entire time.
We shall see though.
This model looks really cool, hope to see it more often in your future videos.
Your predictions from 29:45 in regards to Logic governing over the society remind me of the anime Psycho-pass a bit!

FH3 is gonna be based on NY in the 80s or sumn
I can't wait. I bet it will be a great game either way it goes. Something new and exciting to explore with mountains of new lore.
I thought it could be cool if F&H3 was a nuclear post-apo
Right off the bat I’m so excited about this, Twilight is a guilt pleasure of mine and I’m really curious as to how it’s going to inspire the game.
AND VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE? THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE A BANGER
It's going to be like Persona 4. Termina was originally set in the modern day and was very much inspired by Persona from what I recall.

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but F&H universe already has it's own vampires, it's own take on petty immortals that control humans from the shadows, who believe themselves to be all mighty and powerful but can't hold a candle against the power of the true God(s).

happy birthday!
So if Le'garde survived Funger 1 and used the throne, pretty sure he'd just be trapped in the retirement home with all the other new gods by the time Funger 2 rolled around.)
Funger 2 = Growing pains & Change: The growing pains here seems like they take the form of the old ways clashing with the modern times, and how a big change in the world is that the average person doesn't really have a reason to deal with the supernatural side of the world, no doubt thanks too Ragnvaldr's actions in reducing a once common threat too nothing more than legends and myths.
We play as L'Egard an ancient Vampire a pathetic shadow of what he was because playing the bad guy is always more fun
And as you recover and grow even more powerful eventually you face again your obsession and hated the god of Fear and Hunger with both ends being Mutual Destruction and L'Garde losing
With out of the park endings by facing the machine god and sulfur god
Honestly I hope there’s more than two playable characters and multiple endings as usual.
He has discussed WoD a bit but I don't think it's a major influence on the same level as the other three. Maybe it'd be the fourth on the list?
@MautheDoog thanks for Replying did miro Ever talk about Chronicles of darkness God machine?
@@kanewright1666 I don't think so
Personal opinion,
Ending A is canon, with Olivia activating Logic
The B endings of Daan, Abella, O'saa, and Karin also being likely canon, due to leaving the most possible sequel hooks (Daan becoming Pocketcat, Abella enabling the Moon landing, O'saa starting a new religion, and Karin researching and exposing the supernatural - O'saa and Karin essentially have the potential of becoming the new Enki)
The fates of the remaining character is ambiguous, they could have escaped or they could have joined Olivia when activating Logic
