Bruce Lee and Betty had a very long relationship during the last year of his life. She thought it was true love, he was arguing with an actress the day before he died how it “was just a fling.”
Interesting, do you have a source for the "just a fling" comment? Some day I may do a little followup on this video and wouldn't mind reading more about their relationship from a hopefully non-biased source.
It’s in the superb “Bruce Lee: A Life” book by Matthew Polly 2018. He interviews Nancy Kwan and she retold that story during a lunch meeting the day before he passed. A lot of his work friends at the time all knew he and Betty were a thing and that’s the main reason his death was so riddled with controversy. Cause he died in her apartment, was terrible for his wife to go through.
@@andriygriffin4782 Honestly, I'd love to do an exact breakdown of Bruce's final moments. The whole Raymond Chow/Betty situation and the inept manner that they handled the discovery of his non-responsive body... its MIND BLOWING. Unfortunately, the point here was to get to the clones and that would have taken up at least another twenty minutes, but the entire situation fascinates me. Polly's article on it from the Ringer was one of the things that inspired me to talk so much about Bruce's death at the beginning of this video, but unfortunately I never picked up his book. Adding it to my Amazon cart now though! Betty herself seems sort of unreliable, as I had read in studying all of this about her book attributing dates when she and Bruce were together that would have been impossible because he was in another country and such. At least, that's what I read, could not find her book myself and when piecing together the video I couldn't even find my original source about her messing up dates and such - so I also left that out of the video. Good to see Polly had other sources about the affair though!
@@weirdcinemashow It’s all fascinating and definitely plays a part in understanding the bizarre plots in some of the Bruceplotation films. But it’s for another whole video so that’s understandable. Both are very famous worldwide. But for some reasons Bruce Lee is more relatable. One of these reasons was politics, and this was specially true in early 70s.
Wow, thank you so much. It takes a while to get these videos out there, as you may see from the release dates, but they’re done with a lot of research, a lot of editing, and the hope that people enjoy them. Thanks so much for watching! Working on the script for the next one currently :)
A very, very indepth look at the clones of Bruce Lee. If I'm honest, I found most of them to be extremely funny. The dubbed voices, extreme reactions and over use of Bruce's mannerisms all gave them a certain charm. As for the OG Game Of Death footage? I'm reliably informed there's even more to be unearthed. Having seen Clouse's movie I'm totally shocked at just how little understanding he had of the man... and this is a guy who worked with him on Enter The Dragon. Thanks for all your hard work at putting this together. Much appreciated.
Clouds was honestly a hack. His film prior to ETD, the one with the fight scene with Rod Taylor, was the sole reason he even got the gig. Most of his films afterward were just godawful. Fine from a cut and paste perspective, I suppose, but Close seemed to think he was remaking ETD every time
ONE MORE THING, I swear. We lost Meng Hoi, who many first saw with Bruce Lee in the "hidden footage" of Fist of Unicorn. He was a child at the time, but a skilled acrobat even then. He did quite a few films with Bruce Leung, too. Meng Hoi eventually became one of the best screen fighters/stuntmen of the late 70s and 80s, even becoming engaged to Cynthia Rothrock. He quit movies in the 90s and went to tv till the 2000s, where he retired. He passed away from cancer in October. Roy Horan passed away about almost 2 years ago. He was part of Seasonal Films, and was most notable for Tower of Death with Kim Tai Jung. Horan was a student of Hwang Jang Lee, and did films with Jackie Chan every so often. He passed away of cancer at age 71. We are losing way to many great screen fighters, stuntmen, actors, and martial artists. I'm going to do my best to document their legacies. I feel.it is definitely needed
Absolutely! It wont be long until there’s no one left to ask questions. Truly heartbreaking. That’s why I can’t wait to see the official Clones of Bruce documentary, to hear these guys tell their own story will be great!
Brucesploitation is fascinating in the sense that a whole subgenre of martial arts movies were created just to recapture the same energy left by one artist's untimely passing. That's not something you can say about a lot of other film genres.
Even though he only did one Bruce Lee explanation movie I feel Sammo Hung did the best Bruce Lee performance In ENTER THE FAT DRAGON 1977 and he was a Chubby guy pulling off Bruce Lees moves
Sammo is one of the GOATs, no doubt! He some day deserves a video all to himself. Lord, I hate to imagine just how in the weeds I would have to get for that video! He's had so many movies and so many credits to his name.
This was an awesome and well-made documentary! Thanks for all the great info contained here! I have about 2/3 of these films, but you've introduced me to several I need to track down. Time to re-watch and make a list! A documentary about Bruce's final 24 hours would be incredible to see, too!
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I plan to make a video about Bruce’s final day! Working on a few things, because I think I need to have more 3D skills for that. I want to cover it with all of the new things I’ve read about Bruce and his life. Also want to kind of go over the things that I got wrong in this video and sort of issue a correction on those. For this video, the Bruce Clones were my sole focus and where I was doing my research, but if I had researched Bruce Lee a little more I would have had an even stronger delivery.
@@weirdcinemashow I don't know why I didn't think of this, but a late entry into the American Brucesploitation category would be 1985's "No Retreat, No Surrender" where the young hero actually trains with Bruce Lee's ghost! I was lucky enough to see a live MST3K riffing of this one!
Great vid! I wasn’t aware of just how pervasive brucesploitation was. I owned a couple double feature VHS tapes I picked up in my local FYE In the 90’s and I always chuckled at the fake Bruce Lee flicks I found. I wasn’t aware that it was entire full genre of movies in Chinese cinema.
It means a lot to see this! I won’t promise that there are a lot of universally “great” films in the genre, but there are a number of really fun ones out there. Even the ones that might be called “terrible” have their fun little quirks!
Unbelievable, thank you! It may not be your wheelhouse (or maybe it is!), but my next video on the Italian cannibal films from the 1970s and 1980s is shaping up. Have about 60 minutes of video editing done… have about 40 minutes more to go! Plan to be done soon enough!
This video is going to be special. From a technical standpoint, it’s my best edited video. I have a new mic, so it’s going to sound better. Plus, in terms of content, I’m basically dissecting the whole genre and looking at each individual film. I’m excited about it!
Will you be referencing that "cannibal movie" from 1966 called the great race or something ....or wait... The Naked Prey. That's it. Man I'm super excited to see this new doc. I love Italian exploitation as much as kung fu
Through the 70s and 80s martial arts movies, Bruce Li, Bruce Lo, Bruce Le, Dragon Lee, Jackie Chan, and my favorite Sonny Chiba kept the martial arts movies going for at least 20 years..
I've heard of Moon Kyoung-seok aka Dragon Lee from the documentary The Real Bruce Lee. One of the other Bruce Lee imitators, Bruce Li was also featured. Last Fist of Fury was the Dragon Lee movie that was shown in the documentary.
He also had sweat glands beneath his armpits removed causing overheating. He didn't want people to see him sweat. I know there are many theories about how he died, but that has always been top of list for me.
I'm actually thinking about making a follow-up video to this, on specifically focusing on Bruce's death and his final day in particular. After reading Matthew Polly's "Bruce Lee: A Life," I feel like I have a more well-rounded grasp on the subject. I still feel like the Hyponatremia hypothesis is a great explanation, but I don't discount the possibility of heat stroke. The sweat glands though, from everything I've read, shouldn't have had a large contributing effect. Your body typically compensates by making you sweat more in other places. So, although he wouldn't have the sweat stains under his arms anymore, his back might have produced 2x as much sweat to make up for it.
I wish we could find more super-rare Bruce Lee clone movies. I've seen almost all of them, it would be exciting to see a new one. I think that would almost be more exciting than finding rare Bruce Lee footage.
Ma Chang Yi-tao su "Enter three dragons" è accreditato come Bruce Lea.
Watching this now with my MOM, of all people hahaha. She is REALLY intrigued with the portion on Bruce's actual death. Long story short......she had a brain aneurysm when I was 4, and I was the one that found her and got help, and so on....so she was always vested in the way Bruce had died. She was very impressed at how you described the theories too, btw. I had to make her watch this documentary because it was my turn to pick the movie and/or documentary for our weekend movie. I've been taking care of my mom since she got sick, and it's actually easier for me to get to work by staying here, so...win/win situation. She only got in to kung fu cinema because I begged her to...that, and she had an undying love for Yul Brynner. Once she saw Gordon Liu on Samurai Sunday (our UHF weekend kung Fu movie spot as kids here in Chicago), she relented and let me watch these films and join karate. I was only 7, but it meant a lot to me. Bottom line...after watching this one for the 50th time, and now that I've almost finished the cannibal entry......wow. Your progress in this field is undeniable. Please do t stop making content. Like, AS SOON as I get paid this month I plan on donating to your Patreon. Your work is too damn good, and is almost....in my opinion, at least..... ready to be cited for other similar projects/articles/work. No horseshite, Jack. This is becoming the gold standard
So sorry to hear about all of that with your mom when you were young, but glad that it appears things have turned out okay. Also glad to hear you converted her to a kung fu fan! And thank you so much for all of the kind words. I don’t have a Patreon yet, but maybe one day if more people actually seem to enjoy the content. Would like to give peaks behind the scenes of the eternal struggles that it takes to make something like this!
Bruce Li aka James ho aka Ho Chung Tao is so painfully underrated, he was a very good Action star regardless of the Bruce angle. I love all the Lee-alikes though, Dragon Lee was supposedly, in part, taught by Hwang Jang Lee and Bruce Le was a martial arts machine in his own right with an "allegedly" very short temper.
Thank you so much for watching! This video was a long time in the making, before I decided to really put my all into TH-cam, so it holds a special place in my heart! More to come!
To be fair, Yamashita was in ETD. His Bronson Lee film had two sequels that were very entertaining. He played a sort of Bruce clone in The Magnificent 3, which also had Yasuaki Kurata (who was a sort of clone himself briefly, and was a friend of Bruce as well), and a host of others. Magnificent 3 is an amazing film.
I should have dug more into his filmography, that’s a great note about him being in Enter the Dragon. I had to look up the scene! Very cool. Honestly, I was unaware of Yamashita until making this video. Bronson Lee while not great, was still entertaining. I haven’t seen Magnificent 3, but the prospect of Yasuaki Kurata and Yamashita together in Taiwan… it has my interest!
Great video. Just one suggestion: turn down the background music. It's fine when just the synth drums are going, but the higher keyboard tones make it hard to understand your dialogue.
It’s a beautiful box set. I bought the expensive one with all of the silly little features, like the cassette tape soundtrack despite not having a cassette tape player anymore, lol. Just wanted to support such an awesome project!
Bruce Li was nice!!! Bruce Le pretty good but his kicks are sloppy he doesn't kick like Bruce Lee.... No Jeet Kune Do..... Dragon Lee over did Bruce Lee mannerisms plus no Jeet Kune Do...
the late. kim tai-chung, korean actor is perhaps the greatest bruce lee, impersonator that ever lived period. he had all his mannerisms ect: even the way bruce lee, walked in the film 'game of death II'. and in the film 'no retreat, no surrender' kim tai-chung, is the best. 🇰🇷🤺🥋☯️
I found one little mistake. In the part, in which you are talked about Bruce Lai (il-Do Chang / Chang Yi Tao) you show footage of the Bruce Clone Number 3 from ''The Clones Of Bruce Lee'', but this guy is another ''Bruce Lai''. His real name is unknown and he only played Bruce characters in two films. In ''The Clones Of Bruce Lee'' he is the clone number 3 and in ''Enter Three Dragons''' he is the bruce guy, who always wears sunglasses (at the end he is kidnapped together with the sister of Dragon Lee's friend)
Ahh, I hate when stuff like that happens. The footage of the wrong Lai, how many shots is it? Do you think you can give me some timestamps? Not that I’m going to reupload the video any time soon, but being that I just got a new microphone (that sounds sooo much better) - I’m tempted to some day revisit all of my previous projects and make some changes.
By The way I think Kim Tai Chung is more worth to be mentioned. He was the Bruce Lee Fighting Double in Clouse's "Game of Death", the lead star in "Game of Death 2" a.k.a. "Tower of Death" and He was the Ghost of Bruce Lee in "No Retreat, No Surrender". He also Played a Bruce Charakter in the korean Bruce & Jackie Ploitation Film "Bruce & Jackie for the Rescue"
Well spotted Bendeim3564 - I was scrolling down to see if someone else had spotted. The irony here is that in ETD (aka Dragon on Fire) Chang Yi Tao plays Dragon Heung - and the other guy plays Dragon Leung - and in the story they're mistaken for each other initially. Kudos again for spotting this.
@@weirdcinemashow This is a great piece you've done - and totally worth just re-doing that bit with Chang Yi Tao. I applaud your research on this documentary; definitely worth making it perfect. Thanks!
It’s a really tough call! For Bruce Li, Fist of Fury 2 and 3 are really, really good. Terribly underrated and not just good for a laugh, they’ve got some pretty legitimate kung fu drama! Bruce Lee: A Dragon Story was also a very good little biopic and worth seeking out. The Chinese Stuntman is really good as well. Dragon Lee films can be a little spottier, I feel. So many of them were kind of butchered and not even logical. However, there are some solid to great films. Dragon Lee vs The Five Brothers is a classic from Dragon, an all around fun flick that many see as his best. Golden Dragon, Silver Snake might be his best from the Godfrey Ho flicks. Enter Three Dragons is, without question, an abysmal movie… but damn, I do have a soft spot for it. It’s got that weird Godfrey Ho dream logic going for it, the re-used footage, and of course, some awesome bits with Dragon Lee.

This one will be a bit different for the channel, focusing more on the story between two people and not just the movies they made, but I think in the end it'll have a lot of movie information as well and should make for an interesting watch!
I’m not 100% sure on how they did it, it could very well be an optical effect, but for the video I was just going off of what I’ve always heard and read. Such as in this article: amp.scmp.com/lifestyle/entertainment/article/3172743/how-bruce-lee-film-game-death-became-cynical-project-cash “The result was appalling and featured incredible gaffes, such as a cut-out picture of Lee stuck on a mirror to make the face of one of the doubles look like him.” Now, they don’t directly quote a source who is bulletproof, so I could imagine it going either way. I would think that the mirror trick would be the cheapest way to achieve the ghastly effect though, right? So, that definitely gives the idea a little more credence.
Tadashi Yamashita has been claiming that he taught bruce Lee how to use numchaku for decades. He IS an extra in Enter the Dragon (along with Jackie Chan) but that’s where his brucesploitation connection is from
Sounds like he was exploiting Bruce before it was cool! Thank you for the info, never heard that factoid about him claiming to teach Bruce about nunchaku!

I think for me it's got to be Danny Chan, over the last 40 decades or more I have seen so many guys trying to imitate Bruce Lee, Bruce Li was the very first to portray Bruce Lee,he did make some very good films which I have got in my collection, Dragon Lee is also in my top list, this is only my opinion.
As far as looking the part and getting down the mannerisms, Danny Chan has done an amazing job with everything of his that I’ve seen. Still haven’t seen The Legend of Bruce Lee TV show yet though.

Imagine that many people existing in Hong Kong named "Bruce"! I used to go to Chinatown to watch kung fu films back then, but I made a point of avoiding Bruceploitation films.
I feel like most of us start out by avoiding them. All it takes is one or two bad experiences and you never want to look back. Its only until you start digging in a little that you see there's actually a little gold in the hills to mine out.
This was really good and Bruce li really did have some good movies even though Bruce Lee name was in the title it had nothing to do with him Bruce Lee's secret with Li was good. And the three avengers was too
Me personally I like the clones of Bruce Lee starring Dragon Lee and Bruce Le. I also like Bruce Le's greatest revenge. I also like enter the game of death starring Bruce Le. Some of them other bruceploxtation movies I didn't bother to see.
LOL!!.... When he said he should get rid of these peons with three kicks. That's when he got the nickname Lee Saam Geuk. Which means three legged Lee. It was the director and the film crews came up with this nickname. Started with his 1st movie the Big Boss
Awesome, had never heard that! I suppose the third leg he used in Dragon Lives Again was a sort of play on words, the the double entendres didn’t seem like too far of a reach considering the ridiculous nature of the film :)
Very much an argument for it to have been put into that category. If I’d have thought longer about that idea, I’d have probably found a way to put it into the official section. I guess what was going through my mind is that the original GOD has the actual unseen footage of Bruce Lee and that was the entire promise of the movie. So, it kind of has that original intent of Bruce Lee. I think, in my head, that was the “official” aspect of it. While GOD 2 is Golden Harvest, has the Raymond Chow involvement, and is a sequel to his GOD… I don’t think there’s much care for continuing any stories originated from Bruce. Granted, the original GOD for sure wasn’t trying to deliver Bruce’s original intent, but I think fans were hoping that it would. I think they wanted people to believe this was the original intent of Bruce Lee. Does all of that make sense?
Hey post script......for real this time, hahahaha..... Once my channel finally gets underway and I post the first video, I'm going to really give it a go.for.2 months straight with material. Then...if you have the time....let's talk about a collaboration of sorts, maybe? I think it would be fun as hell. There are two more guys on here that are like minded and talented as well, and I would like to include them....kinda like putting a supergroup together. Only I stead of a band, we would have 4 uber-nerdy cinephiles rambling on about genre cinema in the best way possible. That would be fekkin' awesome. Trust me when I say that your skills are DEFINITELY improving, and your knowledge surpasses that of anyone I've ever talked to, that is for sure
Sure man, we can talk about it! I’m all about making connections! Let me know when you’ve got your first video up, and my email is found in the description of (I think) all of my videos. I’ll refrain from posting it here in the comments because I’ve heard stuff about bots combing comments and such, but the email is right above. Shoot me an email if you have any questions about the video-making process. I take way too long to do it, but I feel like I’ve gotten a system down and can give advice on how to do things.
Bruce Lee DID practice Karate. He trained in dozens of martial arts (Wing Chun, Tai Chi, Praying Mantis, Judo, Hapkido, Taekwondo, Savate, Muay Thai, etc.) before going on to create Jeet Kune Do.
I reference how he took knowledge from all over and how he's referred to as the Godfather of MMA later in the video. If this were a video strictly about Bruce Lee, I probably would have talked and focused more on the way Bruce took knowledge from all of the martial arts. However, this was more about Bruceploitation, so that's kinda where I like to stay. I'm assuming you're referencing the section about Fist of Fear, Touch of Death. While its fair to say that Bruce studied a variety of martial arts, I don't know if its fair to say he was "Karate crazy" or was training to get his Black Belt when he was just a kid. :P As far as I know, Bruce never had a belt or possessed a ranking in any martial art style or system. So, yes, at one point or another, Bruce did devote time to the martial art. Ed Parker, Dan Inosanto, and Chuck Norris all introduced the art to Bruce. However, in what I've read, it seems like he didn't actually have formal training in Karate, but instead picked things up from training and sparring. It doesn't seem like he went through the process of learning all of the Katas or attaining a belt or anything of that matter, so I think it might be a stretch to call Bruce Lee a "Karate practitioner." However, yes, Bruce was the forever-student and receptive to all martial arts.
I keep reading so much about Danny Chen and his performance, but I’ve never seen the TV series he had. I did see him in the third Ip Man movie and remember him being great!
Ho Chung Tao Bruce Li was the best Bruce Lee imitator who looked the most like him. When his movies came out in the mid 1970's it was like going to see a real Bruce Lee movie.
I SWEAR ON ALL I DEEM HOLY, that I will furthermore enhance the integrity of all future projects, rather than just puke in your ear regarding the current project at hand, or, essentially, whatever happens to be the most current project posted. Even though this project is just too good NOT to carry on over, it takes up too much of your time. Time that could be researching films about Bruce Lee clones fighting Female SS officers equipped with Loch Ness monsters on leashes with a taste for human flesh, that just so happen to be provided by stowaways, plane crash survivors, explorers, archeologists, dolphins trained for search and rescue missions in the Bermuda Triangle, Cult members who worship Fish Men from Atlantis, Martial Art masters that move their "style" of fighting to remote islands that have yet to be seen by anyone willing to let the rest of the world know they exist in order to partake in a tournament tomthe death, and Mr. Rogers.....the neighbor who so happens to have a vendetta against a 7 year old child. Just a thought, however.
Lol, they wouldn’t play them in Chinatown? Maybe the owners of those establishments felt the movies were disrespectful to Bruce Lee’s legacy… well, in some cases they were, lol, but still love them!
You're DEAD WRONG about 2 Tae Kwon Do Masters Dorian Tan Tao & Master Law..they weren't NEVER Bruce Lee Imitators l!! NEVER Even fought or acted like him. Hon Chong Tao studied Tae Kwon Do as well as Wing Chun that's the only connection tou EVER make with Masters Tan Tao & Lee

Great work. It’s always good to learn about Bruce.
Great video. I've always enjoyed the clone films. Been looking forward to seeing the recent documentary, but this popped up on me feed.
Very good video and information . I really enjoyed it . Good work
Thank you so much!
Great vid! I wasn’t aware of just how pervasive brucesploitation was. I owned a couple double feature VHS tapes I picked up in my local FYE
In the 90’s and I always chuckled at the fake Bruce Lee flicks I found. I wasn’t aware that it was entire full genre of movies in Chinese cinema.
It means a lot to see this! I won’t promise that there are a lot of universally “great” films in the genre, but there are a number of really fun ones out there. Even the ones that might be called “terrible” have their fun little quirks!
This is the....14th time I've watched/listened to this while at work or on the road. Thank you again
@@weirdcinemashow Wow! That's gnarly. I remembered watching Cannibal Holocaust back in the late 80s. And now I know from You Tube that it was fake 🤦🏽
This video is going to be special. From a technical standpoint, it’s my best edited video. I have a new mic, so it’s going to sound better. Plus, in terms of content, I’m basically dissecting the whole genre and looking at each individual film. I’m excited about it!
That, my good man....is MOST DEFINITELY IN MY WHEELHOUSE.
I feel like we were twins separated at birth, for some reason
Will you be referencing that "cannibal movie" from 1966 called the great race or something ....or wait...
The Naked Prey. That's it.
Man I'm super excited to see this new doc. I love Italian exploitation as much as kung fu
Just found your channel. It's amazing. I hope you keep it up. And I look forward to more ninjas
Thank you so much! The next video should be based in Italy, but afterward I’m going back to Hong Kong!
Through the 70s and 80s martial arts movies, Bruce Li, Bruce Lo, Bruce Le, Dragon Lee, Jackie Chan, and my favorite Sonny Chiba kept the martial arts movies going for at least 20 years..
Finally. Bruceploitation is a childhood fascinating of mine.
So, although he wouldn't have the sweat stains under his arms anymore, his back might have produced 2x as much sweat to make up for it.
great work, i never saw or heard of most of these films.
The Dragon Lives🤣🤣🤣 why the singer sounds like William Hung from American Idol??? She Bang Bang Bang😫😫😫🤣🤣🤣

Like Bruce Lee he had a temper I heard.
I enjoyed watching this video 🎥📺🎥📺📺👍👍
Thank you so much for watching! This video was a long time in the making, before I decided to really put my all into TH-cam, so it holds a special place in my heart! More to come!
To be fair, Yamashita was in ETD. His Bronson Lee film had two sequels that were very entertaining. He played a sort of Bruce clone in The Magnificent 3, which also had Yasuaki Kurata (who was a sort of clone himself briefly, and was a friend of Bruce as well), and a host of others. Magnificent 3 is an amazing film.
The Bronson Lee films were actually called "Za Karate" for some reason. The tagline was chosen after new line cinema acquired it
I should have dug more into his filmography, that’s a great note about him being in Enter the Dragon.
You will LOVE Magnificent 3. If I can find my old copy, I'll burn a disc and send it to you.
Great video.
Just one suggestion: turn down the background music. It's fine when just the synth drums are going, but the higher keyboard tones make it hard to understand your dialogue.
I thought I reached a decent balance on that, but it might just be my set-up. Hope it wasn't too distracting!
Honestly, I'd love to see some new age attempts. I'd even settle for some CGI Bruce Lee films with an A.I. voice.
This is a good video to watch before I receive my copy of the game of clones box set.
It’s a beautiful box set. I bought the expensive one with all of the silly little features, like the cassette tape soundtrack despite not having a cassette tape player anymore, lol. Just wanted to support such an awesome project!
When I was young I used to watch Bruce Li thinking it was Bruce Lee. Didn't even Bruce Lee had even died. I was real young at the time.
It was probably quite the surprise to find the real Bruce Lee later on! Both are great, but so very different!
@@weirdcinemashow yes sir.
Bruce Lee was fluid!!!
Bruce Li was nice!!! Bruce Le pretty good but his kicks are sloppy he doesn't kick like Bruce Lee.... No Jeet Kune Do..... Dragon Lee over did Bruce Lee mannerisms plus no Jeet Kune Do...

Muito bom! Estou ansiosa pelo próximo vídeo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
From 44:13 to 45:04
By The way I think Kim Tai Chung is more worth to be mentioned.
Thanks!
Amazing documentary you had be on every word, in your opinion, what are your favorite Bruce Li and Dragon Lee films ?
@@weirdcinemashow What an outstanding response i have to say i am quite greatful for your in depth response and im going to subscribe and jot down every one you suggested thank you so much !
@@jfoquendo No worries! I thank YOU for taking your time to watch any of my videos :) If you like old school martial arts, my next project will be about two stars of the Shaw Bros. era, so keep an eye out! This one will be a bit different for the channel, focusing more on the story between two people and not just the movies they made, but I think in the end it'll have a lot of movie information as well and should make for an interesting watch!
The face on the mirror in Game of Death looks more like a bad optical effect, like the towel around the neck as Bruce walks into the trailer.
I’m not 100% sure on how they did it, it could very well be an optical effect, but for the video I was just going off of what I’ve always heard and read. Such as in this article:
amp.scmp.com/lifestyle/entertainment/article/3172743/how-bruce-lee-film-game-death-became-cynical-project-cash
“The result was appalling and featured incredible gaffes, such as a cut-out picture of Lee stuck on a mirror to make the face of one of the doubles look like him.”
Now, they don’t directly quote a source who is bulletproof, so I could imagine it going either way. I would think that the mirror trick would be the cheapest way to achieve the ghastly effect though, right? So, that definitely gives the idea a little more credence.
It’s a cut out picture, taped to the mirror.
I dont think tadashi and bruce met . Bronson lee was the main man tho? soul of bruce lee with Sony china is good. tadashi was v good with weapons especialy the kama.
Thanks for compilation.
My pleasure!

Thank you, brother! Stay tuned. Unless I find something terrible in this most recent edit, new video will drop tomorrow! Over two hours of cannibal craziness!
Thank God! I'm i horror fan as well, and especially Italian horror, so this should be good!!
They try to clone his look which fails and totally fail at his fighting style
Imagine that many people existing in Hong Kong named "Bruce"! I used to go to Chinatown to watch kung fu films back then, but I made a point of avoiding Bruceploitation films.
I feel like most of us start out by avoiding them. All it takes is one or two bad experiences and you never want to look back. Its only until you start digging in a little that you see there's actually a little gold in the hills to mine out.
Even I was one of clones of Bruce Lee in the 70s. in Japan.
Bruce Li: I am Bruce Lee!!! If he only had JKD down and was cut like Bruce Lee!!!
Good video on Bruce Lee
This was really good and Bruce li really did have some good movies even though Bruce Lee name was in the title it had nothing to do with him Bruce Lee's secret with Li was good. And the three avengers was too
Thank you! And yeah, Bruce Li had that stigma associated with him from the genre, but he was really good and had some quality films.
Fists Of Fury 2 was the best!!!!, Game Of Death 2 was dope!!!! The underground tower and it was futuristic too!!!
The Three Avengers in my opinion was Bruce Li's best film. He was good being himself.
Dragon Lee looks more like Jason Scott Lee than Bruce.
Me personally I like the clones of Bruce Lee starring Dragon Lee and Bruce Le. I also like Bruce Le's greatest revenge. I also like enter the game of death starring Bruce Le. Some of them other bruceploxtation movies I didn't bother to see.
OMG...thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@weirdcinemashow Yup! ha ha....anyways, it was a great video that you did. Godbless from Malaysia

Game of Death 2 was distributed by Golden Harvest so wouldn't that make it official?

Bruce li was the most famous one his first exit the dragon enter the tiger and he went on from there 😮😮😮

On the Real Bruce Lee it said in the Bruce Li Dojo Jeek Kune Do😮😮😮😮 its Jeet Kune Do😊😁😁😁😁🤣🤣
Those 8Track tape days 1970,s Kung Fu movies
