    Just a thought - Why don't you buy postage supplies online in bulk? E.g. butchers paper 10m x 760mm for $17.49 delivered, all you need is a craft knife to cut it. I found Bunning supplies dearer than any of the online stores I buy supplies from and I get them delivered. Poly bags, boxes, padded bags, bubble wrap etc. I have a small room for all my Ebay stuff, but it all fits if you are inventive 😁

    If you're a hobbyist or a collector, you know right from the start what is good and what will sell for a high price. The problem is, you will tend to keep all the really high-value items for your own collection. That's why it makes sense to sell items you don't care for, even if you have to learn everything from scratch.

    Just a bit of knowledge for you: The blue heelers seasons that you have are the original release. Blue heelers was released originally and then they stopped making it. Then about 10-12 years later they released new editions of the series. The one that you have is worth more than the new release :)

    I’m seriously considering dropping tracked shipping for lower priced sales. I’m a bit nervous but it makes $$ sense.

    I’m about to take delivery of a huge haul of DVDs, CDs and books from two households that are combining and declutterring. It will all be in mint condition 🎉 Loads of TV series, likewise the books will be sets by various authors so I’m looking forward to going through it all. Best of all it’s all free!

    I’d say good luck again with your Black Friday sales but I watched this after it started and I’ve already been in shopping just after it started. Got some great bargains especially River Monsters, my daughters and I are huge fans of the show. I’m still watching your shop. I’ve never been to NZ either, would be great footage from there from the clips I’ve seen of it on travel sites. Lots of work ahead for both of you with listings and packing orders.

    You might need a once a month restock of all your bulk supplies so you’re not running out and running to the shops. I never need to buy bubblewrap the amount of people who give it away for free in bulk on Facebook is crazy. Though I am in a smaller city then Gold Coast so driving to get it is no issue. I’ve never in 4 years paid for bubblewrap. Also keep all my boxes from anything I buy. That’s my savings on supplies

    NZ thrift is expensive! , i think the south island has better stuff from memory , but living in Auckland , not a single thrift shop is fair price. I was at red cross the other day looking for personal stuff and a Shein hoodie was tagged for $25 so. there is also a strong resale vintage clothing market here so second hand stuff is expensive for the most part

    • @delaneyavenel1492
      @delaneyavenel1492 ปีที่แล้ว

      For what’s it’s worth, I’m now averaging $1k per month part time flipping. I haven’t signed up for a store/s. I have two eBay accounts one for books and (now) DVDs and CDs etc, the other for a bit of everything eg. plus sized clothing, vintage anything, and I’ve just begun selling collectable liquor items such as jugs, crocks, ashtrays and so on from Johnny Walker, Galliano etc.
      I keep a ledger for each account with costs and income etc. I like that I’m not paying eBay any more money than I absolutely have to as a part time seller. By keeping track of my costs I will know at a glance if and when it’s time to upgrade to a shop. But for now, I have all I need within the Seller’s Hub. I can’t run sales or offer coupons but there are other ways to make your items attractive to buyers.

    • @step9624
      @step9624 ปีที่แล้ว

      You do realise it’s completely against eBay’s terms to be operating as a private seller when your a business??
