Just an FYI for anyone interested. The padded mailers are bigger than the plastic satchels, and cost the same postage. They’re about $1 more expensive to buy, but the savings on postage outweigh that. Always good for those items that are just that bit too big to squeeze into a regular satchel.
Yep it's almost equivalent size to a medium polybag, 2cm shorter or something. $1 something each when bought in bulk. Contributes to the band discount. Buyers love the extra mile gone to protect your item.
Q about international sales - how do you do it? I have found I cannot list without putting a price in, which would be variable depending on the country.
Great weekend of sales with a 25% sale on & shocked how many do far today (Monday). Lots of old stock I was going to cull in January found a new home too.
Congratulations. Unfortunately I had miss Black Friday sales as I (along with plenty of Canadians) had to put my store in vacation mode as Canada Post has been on strike since November 15th and there is no end in sight. I have checked into other shipping options like UPS and FedEx but they are way too expensive, almost 5 times the shipping costs. Looks like we might miss Christmas sales also.
@@careylangsner4025 feel for you - I went to post a book to Canada yesterday but Australia post wont accept items for Canada right now, hoping I don’t penalised for late shipping when it’s not my fault.
I think I have always been in love with the Wii. It was the first console get people to use motion for gaming and LOVED selling it at Dick smith electronics when I worked there. I even traded my PS2 for a Wii Console when I had to get one! Even now, the wii consoles are the easiest to test and reset. Too bad they don't hold value as much as Playstaion and Xbox, but they never could compete with HD graphics. I hope you guys are having fun and taking some downtime to enjoy the sunshine and let life blossom. I know run club will keep you guys going, but don't forget to try other options as well. How is Kate with AFL watching? I know she's Victorian, so maybe a couple of Suns/Lions games penciled in for next year! Anyway, Stay classy you two, and have a happy.
I picked up a couple of weeks ago a full boot full of wii stuff, Game cube, snes ect. Asked how much he wanted and he said $30. I paid him $50 and ran.
It’s crazy the difference in prices compared to the uk. Over here in the uk you would be lucky to get £20 uk pounds for the breaking bad complete DVD box set with postage and the blue-ray set sells for about £30 uk pounds including postage. Why do you think the prices are so far apart between Australia and the uk? I see this with a lot of your complete tv box sets the prices are so far apart from ours
New follower from Canada 🇨🇦😊 love this video !! Besides markdown sales on big events like Black Friday or others do you modify your promoted listings ?
I opened my basic store and the Canada Post strike happened. I have put my store in vacation mode since the strike started as Canada Post is my only option here in rural Ontario Canada. It really sucks mate. I had some real good momentum going. I hope the strike ends so i dont completely miss out on the holiday season
Thank you for your videos!! They are very informative. Can you please cover in your future videos use of poly bags and suffocation warnings when you sell in Australia and other countries like US?
I discovered that the GameCube Wavebird controller dongle sells for good money a few moths ago. Wait til you see how much the OEM Nintendo GameCube Video Cable sells for lol
Hey! I've recently started watching your vids and have to say it's such a good content! I wanted to ask you: I've started my store on ebay, but doing pretty slow with views on my listings. It's running a bit slow for adding new listings as not having much good finds, do you think it might be affecting my store? How can I get more views? Thanks.
Everything comes down to the quality of the product. If you had a single item store but you were selling a gameboy for $100 you’d have a sale within a couple days. Just focus on very good stock and you’ll start to see views and sales increase
Congratulations to Matt and Kate on the monthly sales. Funny you brought up the market for game consoles as we are once again out in the trenches at Carrara Markets after the washout last Sunday with 6 complete game bundles, all tested with games, controllers, cables, and extras to sweeten the sale: Xbox 360, PS3, and Xbox Ones.
while you were 11 dollars short you and your partner must have some time to enjoy life or it gets all business and no play . balancing work and play is different for everyone, but it makes life better.

I have been doing well this holiday season. The trick is you have to let customers like your inventory more than you do
very true! the art of selling

I offer free postage which doesn't mean I'm out of pocket it's just marketed as free
Great information on how to get some sales .

Hey Matt, Do you have a basic or featured store? I currently have a featured store with 1400 items and thinking of going down to basic. Thanks
