    Polish products and their quality is well renowned and top notch....Galeon yachts, Krosno glass, CD Projekt, high quality furniture, cosmetics, and highly innovative and unique tech...just to name a few examples.

    To nasze położenie geograficzne jest naszym przekleństwem ale niestety nasi przodkowie takie sobie wybrali i nic na to nie poradzimy bo przecież nie weźmiemy Polski na plecy i jej nie przeniesiemy np. do Hiszpanii. Jak mówię, że Polaka jest pępkiem świata i najważniejszym państwem na świecie to patrzą na mnie jak na wariata. Nie, żadne tam imperia, nie USA, nie Chiny czy Rosja ale mała Polska, państwo wielkości serwetki w środku świata. Dlaczego? Bo w Polsce albo o Polskę wszystko się zaczyna i tu kończy i lepiej aby w Polsce nic więcej się nie wydarzyło bo jak się wydarzy to tym razem nie ukryjesz się nawet na Madagaskarze czy Antarktydzie. Ciekawe czy mnie dobrze zrozumiałeś, a czasy znowu mamy niespokojne i Polska znowu znalazła się w oku cyklonu? Było już 2 razy, a 3-ci raz możemy już z tego nie wyjść cało i to wszyscy.

    Forget felony. First of all Poland would not elect a politician who expressed such opinions about women. Puprosefully and consistently. Not a gossip or hearsay.
    That is just mind boggling.

    • @TravelwithMrJon
      @TravelwithMrJon  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Piotr-n83 That is the best point of all. A Polish woman friend of mine mentioned the same and I'm sorry I didn't mention that, because it is a bigger deal. Great point!

    oh we do not have problems with electing criminals either. Not so long ago we had a case of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik (then heads of anticorruption beauro/ministry of internal affairs) who got charged with forging documents to target political opponents.

    Very perceptive. But you are wrong that the custom of minding their own business, not approaching strangers casually, holding famous "Polish face" are signs of traumatic past and people not trusting each other.
    It come from tradition of personal freedom which Poles charish the most. Approaching stranger, bothering him wihtout a cause or encouragement is considered disrespectfull, intrusive, violation of the private sphere. Trying to make a contact despite an obvious protest is totally unacceptable and considered very aggressive. Apparent indifference means: I respect you, your ways, your choices, your values and I expect you do the same.
    You must have noticed that in Poland waiters, store clerks, etc do not pester customers trying to squeeze more business out of them. I lived 12 years in US and never learned to appreciated "aggressive politness" of service people.
    Once you start reading this behavior throuth the lenses of Polish culture you start appreciating, if not it may be unpleasant or even scary.

      Thank you for stating this fully as it certainly gives a better perspective and viewpoint. I 100% agree I appreciate the lack of "aggressive politeness" in Poland. @Piotr-n8s

    1. Construction, you spoke as if you were appreciating but at the same time criticizing, such a roast/praise
    2. I'm glad you changed your mind because peace and quiet from other people is priceless ✌
    3. Technology ? I don't know. A lot of super modern technology is being created in the States, so we're not better. Poles haven't gone to the Moon yet 😆 unless you're talking about the availability and commonness of technology that people use every day.
    4. Trains. It's much better than it was 15-20 years ago, but we're still a long way from Japan or Korea's trains 😐
    5. Poland's location is good in times of peace, worse when our wonderful neighbors decide to visit us 😅😑😔
    6. The best Christmas market in Poland is in Wrocław 🌲
    7. Poles are no better at politics because they elected a German puppet as prime minister
    Where did you get a paper map of Poland ?

    • @TravelwithMrJon
      @TravelwithMrJon  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      1. It was a little of both - part roast, part appreciation. I mean at least you know it's going to take three years in the city they are tearing up. The only pain is that it seems to be every important city - but like at Poznan good as new now.
      2. Peace and Quiet is priceless. I should have added there are as many people asking for money, next to none looking for handouts. There also don't appear to be homeless tent encampments in the center of the cities - at least not what I have seen.
      3. Availability and commonness of technology from banking, payments, and internet.
      4. That's why I didn't compare your trains to Asia.
      5. And yes Location is pro and a con. I'd say a pro.
      6. I don't know I have yet to see that one. I've only seen Warsaw, Gdansk, Sopot, Krakow and what was left of Bialystok. Remember I wasn't a fan of Wroclaw so maybe I won't like the Christmas market there.
      7. Good to know, but he's not a criminal right?
      My mom bought me the map prior to my moving to Poland so I would have something to study and learn the city/town names and regions.

    Poland has literally the worst location in the world, ever heard of the Suwalki Gap? It's the most dangerous place in Europe.
