Osaka World Expo 2025: What we know so far - Travel in Japan. Expo Merch, Flying Cars and Androids

Osaka will host the 2025 World Expo, and preparations are well underway for the event to be held in the new Yumeshima island.
Today I'll talk about what we know so far - the history of Expos in Osaka, the 2025 event dates and tickets, the mascot character and its merch, and finally what we can expect to see next year.
Although it's having a mixed reception with locals, I'm looking forward to Osaka getting another chance on the world stage. I'll hopefully get tickets to see the Expo next year, and I might even do an update video before that, to get ready for the excitement.

Thanks for your comments! Actually today I just uploaded a hotel guide video for staying in Osaka, please check it! In addition to my recommendations, the expo station seems like it’ll be on the Chuo line - it’s easy to change to it from the loop line and other metro stations so don’t worry, but on the Chuo line itself are stations like Honmachi and Morinomiya. Bentencho too but that might be a bit less glamorous.. good luck!
