Indeed. All three of my dogs have been rescues, and my current one (a dachshund-beagle mix of whom I have videos on my channel) is constantly wagging her tail when she isn't curled up in one of her many preferred napping spots.
When Zeus put his leg around her, that moment was absolutely adorable. Thanks for saving the pup.

So they separated her for the Great Dane she bonded with, and callously tossed it back into the adoption hopper? I just cant relate to that. I always bonded with my pets and animals in general. I cant imagine going through that entire process, just to toss the fish back into the pond.

Every morning she feeds several cats and at night one more snack then picks up the dishes and repeats the drill in the AM.

Separated from her mom too young, it's not surprising she embraced another dog so easily. Very lucky to have been taken in by people who knew how to care for dogs.

Luna is quite the puppy. So glad she was taken in after being an abandoned and scared shaking little thing. So heartwarming to see her playing with and developing a bond with big and wonderful Zeus.

I also care about humans too, as I would save a human over an animal, but I’d rather have a dog live in my house than another person. I lost my little dog "Beans" to a car accident a couple of days more than 3 months ago, and although I did the best I could to love him and give him a good life, I know I could've done better, and I have to live with that realization. Fear of failure and fear of the future has kept me from living a better life sometimes. If I were you, which I'm obviously not, but if I were, I would try to live in the moment and appreciate each moment as it was sacred

It always amazes me how large animals, not just like a Great Dane, but an elephant or Rhino, can be so gentle and aware of where their feet are.
It’s like she had such a lousy start, once she got mobile she decided she was going to make up for it. A great way to express an emphatic “F-you!” to whoever abandoned her.

How can we tell if a dog is depressed? That dog was going thru what puppies normally go through. Its not sad unless sad music is behind it.
Brandon Mann If nothing else, this puppy was separated from her mother too soon. So depressed or not, she did have a harder time with her learning curve and it must have been strange for her to be alone (without mom or litter mates around).

Zeus looked to be about 6-8 months old, maybe about half grown :)
I am the proud owner of two leonbergers, they are about the height of a Great Dane but not so thin and with less health issues. Anyway as we got the second one as a 8 week old puppy it was really funny. When ever we went out (especially after the first weeks) we would always meet dogs in our puppy’s height and be like „oh, that full grown dog is as big as our 10,12,14 week old puppy. And when she was 8-10 month she was bigger than a normal Goldie and everyone was like „will she ever stop growing?“ it was soo funny.
Loved watching her happily run.

Many moons ago I fostered cats. The feeling, knowing you've done your part, when you hand them over to their forever home is just incredible. But then, there's that one day, that one animal, where letting go is the right thing but it feels like a cruel blow. With all its ups and downs, fostering is a special experience that will, ultimately, enrich your life in ways I cannot even describe to you.

Imagine trying to survive a harsh winter without central heating and being allowed only pickled veg because that's the only thing that would keep. It's only thanks to globalisation, out of season produce and food science that allows people to be comfortably vegan today and even then that option is not available everywhere.
I'm not even vegetarian and until I can move out, my options are limited because my Dad and stepmum are quite picky. However, I do want to eat less meat overall but the important thing to me is that the animals are treated well and with kindness. There are many farmers who take care of their livestock; it's not all factory farms.
