    Thanks for this video Tyiece!!!. It's one of the most practical explanations I've watched since I went natural about 3+ years ago. For a while now I've noticed that my hair gets rough after deep conditioning and this was not the case previously. You hit the nail on the head because I did my deep conditioning without heat and it was so soft. I'm going to start doing regular protein treatments again. Thanks again.

    Yup!!! My hair 😭😭 I think mys is genetics at this point. I’m thinking about silicones or even grease lol and let’s not forget about the frizz 😭😭😭 the funny thing is that I don’t get build up because my hair soaks up everything lol

    What is the rationale of not using penetrating oils on high porosity hair?

    • @Tyiece
      @Tyiece  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It won’t hold as much moisture compared to oils that coat the hair. Penetrating oils have a high fatty acid content with smaller molecules that seeps through the cuticles easier

      Use penetrating oil like coconut oil first before applying sealing oil.

    Think of different hair textures. If you are fine textured, butter is no go area. So your analysis is only for high porosity coarse hair and not for fine high porosity hair. I am fine high porosity and the use of butter cause catastrophe to my God given beautiful hair. The only oil that seal in moisture in my hair is olive oil.

      Yes that’s true. Thanks for pointing this out. That’s why I also gave options of sealing oils. It’s all about tweaking things to meet your individual hair needs. Grape seed oil or Argan oil will work better for your fine hair and the butters will be best suited for more dense hair
