After having spent a week with this card i feel like it really is the best value for my needs. I like running fps like apex legends and it’s a smooth experience with barely any hiccups. I can definitely feel the enthusiast turn their nose up to this card, especially considering the market and general scummy nature of big corporations, but as someone who is more casually invested in gaming i couldn’t ask for more.
There is some serious FOMO that surrounds tech that people become susceptible to but i feel like we’re slowing down in terms of graphical quality. Every gen shows improvement but the bells n whistles feel less and less awe inspiring and more like snake oil. Only downside is i wish i paid less LOL

Agreed! From a pure fps standpoint for sub 4K gaming, this card is great. It’s only when you want to throw more graphical quality and Ray tracing into the mix that you’d ever honestly need any more.

Agreed ! As a casual gamer, this card is great especially with DLSS in 1440p.
Most games I run on med-high settings to get the best fps.
Warzone I get between 90-135 fps in 1440p dlss quality mode.

I was lucky to find one for $249 at my local microcenter!! I game at 1080p 27in w/ 144hrz and the card is GOOD! I replaced my 5600XT due to AMD update issues. I'm getting around 135-150fps in apex ( high settings). I'm getting 120fps in WZ on high settings. I got it for 249$ also, 1660 Super is 20$ cheaper and 2060 is 20$ more expensive, should i get the 2060?
      My opinion is :
20% lower watt and 20% lower performance than 2060 , also the 8gb vram should be future proof as 4gb card from 2015 still useable with the help of FSR
AV1 encoder also will help with the cpu and save power
Other than that it seems the ampere arc, new tensor core gen does not bring anything to the table as performance is weaker than 2060

    • @qwazyd0gg
      @qwazyd0gg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Msi prices are always a bit higher on cards due to the R&D behind cooling and potential factory OC when compared to reference cards. I wouldn’t say there’s anything “special” as much as nvidia cards tend to have a higher price tag compared to AMD thanks to more application performance and currency mining efficiency

Mine looks just like your 3050.it’s the Msi mech 2 oc version with that same backplate.. anyway since your video droped Iv been playing with the 3050 and Iv been surprised how often I left raytracing on in some games at 1080p.. still hitting 60 fps… which Iam gaming in on a tv so that’s my max hz. So like raytracing Iv found is definitely usable.. two titles that come to mind are resident evil 2 remake and control. I have a feeling that even though the 6700xt will trump my 3050 I think raytracing will be more useable on the nvidia card… it’s weird to me that every one says raytracing sucks on this car when like I said Iv found that it’s definitely usable in a 60fps cap.

Switching to competitive low settings with epic draw distance will push around 240fps. 1440p will hover around 90-100 with ultra preset, or 150-160 with competitive graphics settings. Surprisingly it can even pull decent frames around 100fps in competitive settings in 4K, but will not be enjoyable at 4k high.

3050 is be a solid contender for 120fps in 1080p. May have to slightly decrease the settings on demanding games, but it’s made to be a great 1080p card.

OKay, i am getting just the money for this price section 390€ to replace my 1650, so i been waiting a loong time for good moment.

I am eyeing this specifc card just cause budget, and i am into MSI, other choise would be Asus with similar performance and price.
Goal games are Battlefields and Fallout games, if we get more of those.
Diablo 4 in the wait list too.

You’re not wrong. Some will still prefer Nvidia for select titles or functionality; however, if you can find a 6600 for cheaper it will outperform the 3050 in most titles.

@@MemberOfGeniusSociety the 2.0 argument is not a good because it's not in every game but once they enable the feature they promised with fsr 2.0 where a game does not need to support it and you can still use 2.0 I think amd will be on a good level to go against amd I like amd because the mid to low end market is just cheaper than Nvidia
