- What if Master Shen turned good as a result of meeting and being changed by Goku? Or What If The nefarious Crane School was where Goku began his martial arts journey? Turning Goku evil as a result of the more cunning, lethal, and ruthless influence of the crane school?

My biggest quest for this kind of set up has always been "What if Master Shen had the three star Dragon Ball?" This is what's known as a cause and effect. It's the how Master Shen takes to training Goku that I couldn't figure out.
This is one of my favorite what ifs. I hope a sequel to this happens
Goku would fly earlier and favor the dodan Ray & tri beam cannon rather then the Kamehameha. Goku would be a totally different fighter.
Love hearing more Dragon Ball era what ifs. Don’t hate DBZ or even DBS but I miss the old characters. Tao Pai Pai has always been my favorite villain. One the first “oh 💩!” arcs in my opinion.

well I would have the idea of goku having a network of friends he constantly connects to and have them be useful in their own ways have it be an extended and growing family that would have taken nappa and vegeta prisoner maybe raised piccolo jr and would make frieza either train harder or give up, maybe become more than earths defenders but rather embassadors on some level too

I’m so hyped this one is back!
There were a couple things I disagreed with, mostly around some powerlevels in the original run, and with Tien being new to training when Goku came along. (Minor things really) But it is still one of my favorites to randomly think about from time to time.
You missed the biggest thing. The kamehameha. If Goku doesn't have this he doesn't blow a hole in the castle. Oolong doesn't escape to make a wish to the dragon. Pilaf becomes the world emperor.
