  • Just made this video today I’m beginning to work on this issue and am posting my progress. Anyone have any idea if this could be the BCM Module under the dash???? I’ll keep current updates 🤙🤙🤙

"WOW" I cant begin to tell you how lucky I was to come across your video. No previous issues, with 2007 Escalade, driving along in the dark about 7pm at night at 55 mph, engine dies, lights good, coast to the guard rails and stop, side of vehicle in road. Moments ago, I was in 3 lane traffic on interstate. OMG. Turn key nothing, headlamps, dash lights, work, no power locks or windows, climate control keeps coming back on, when shut off, wipers did the same. Got it off the road to dead end side road. I went back the next day. I searched escalade shuts off when driving, Coil issue, neg. battery cable, pops up. Neg. cable made sense, then I came across your video. Checking out, battery cable was fine, I did exactly what you said, and after charging the battery, with jumper cables, it fired right off the first time. Everything works fine, those lights are on the dash, but running fine.
"Man, thanks so much for saving me!"💥

Man. Ive been dealing with this for 5yrs. My electric function ran so funny the Cadillac dealer couldn't pinpoint the issue because at the time they had it. It was fine. Over time it got worse. Point being its one of those things that will send you down many rabbit holes. Glad you figured it out. I was tired of sounding crazy tell people my gauges dance.

Bro... great video hope that works on mine. I was actually driving to a store and my Locks started acting up few things on my dashboard popping up and ding dongs. Then I got to the store turned off the truck and when I came out tried to crank it on... nothing.then went to buy the ECM at the dealership but nothing. Now yesterday took off the BCM and was about to go buy it today and wait till Monday to get it. But now I'm going to do this first. Had it parked for a few weeks now. But thanks for your video and I'll let you know if it worked. God bless you 🙏

I had the same issue as what you're having with my truck I have a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. What I did was I disconnected the positive cable and negative cable to the battery took a jumper cable line and connected one end to the positive terminal and one end to the negative terminal all while it was disconnected from the battery. I let it sit for an hour came back reconnected the terminal to the battery and the truck started and ran normal like it never had the issue. What that does with the jumper cable is completely drain all the computers of energy and it erases all the codes and resets all the computers in your car.

So you disconnected the battery and put the positive and negative from the truck together for 1 hour? The reason why I’m asking is because I’m having the same problem

What did you do with the other ends of the jumper cables? Did you connect those to another battery , my 2008 Escalade having the same problem, mechanic said it was the BCM which i replaced August 2022.

The ABS module would cause a no start no crank to I unplug my abs module underneath the driver's door and my Escalade started up I tried your method first and it started up then another TH-camr told me to plug the green wire back in and unplug the ABS module and I did in the truck started up so that means I have to change the ABS and the active suspension control module will cause the same thing no crank no start and the ground strap on the block to the engine will cause the same thing too and the fuel pump control module will cause the same thing too

I have an 07 Escalade got a cam position sensor code changed that and then noticed metal in my oil when I changed my oil a day later. Dropped the oil pan and found a cam bearing in the pan. Got a 6.2 out of a 07 Escalade swapped all of my removable items and sensors on to the junkyard motor and now it just cranks and won’t start? What should I do

I don’t have power to the dash and it won’t crank I can hear the relay under the hood clicking but that’s it I have no lights no power to the doors or windows so I don’t know I’m ready to light it up and watch it burn.. never had one to get me like this one has I’m just a shade tree mechanic but a good one I thought til I got tied up with this damn caddy.. it got wet inside and the next day it went dead as a stump I changed ignition switch didn’t help so I’m going back under the dash to see if I can figure this mess out

Make sure you have first good battery /
Second good starter / alternator air mar flow sensors crankshaft camshaft / fuel injectors make sure you have fuel pressure 55/? 60 psi make sure these things are good ground is good don’t replace anything just try to extend because if you do Cadiz are known . For loosing ground right away. Also ignition switch make sure you hear the fuel pump relay klick mans hear the fuel pump should load for at least 3 seconds. If all of these are good and still no start. I’d suggest you Gina head and visually inspect wires harness Don’t forget to check ground behind the steering pump. Passenger side underneath the tire the bumper clean those they need to be tight and cleaned good cuz that ground power different device let me know If anything I had the same problem I found out my l fuel pump line was damaged wasn’t getting any powe cuz pump is responsible to deliver fuel check for clogged charcoal canister. Any way all the best Gm engineers are good to install ground impossible for human to reach

I was having a no start no crank with a 2008 Tahoe I literally been chasing the problem for 7 hours I have not replaced anything something told me to go unplug the battery to reset the ECU but before doing that I hooked up the computer and it came back to p1682 so then again I go unplug the battery I let it sit for 20-25 minutes I go back to plug in the battery and she starts right up I was about to literally spend $145 parts and labor on the ignition switch now it could be the ignition switch no telling but it started right up and I will continue to chase the problem from there if anything else happens
