Bridging Programs or Bridging Classes are given to SHS graduate students if their strand is not aligned with the course that they want to enroll in college. In this video, I am giving you one of the most important senior high school tips, and that is about making sure your strand in SHS is connected with your preferred college course.

A lot of Universities don't require bridging programs. The SHS strands are only there to help you get ready for college, it's whole purpose is for students to discover what they really like to do. The only PRO of a matched college course and SHS strand is that you get more familiar with the course and you're more advanced, you'll ALL start over in college after all. So no worries if you took the wrong strand and by the way, get familiar with the subjects of the course you will take in your free time especially math.

@@jilldevreux7101 depends on schools, karamihan sa mga private universities and college don't really care like adamson, la salle and etc but minsan bawal tulad sa mga state universities

Thank you for making this video sir, nasagot ang mga how’s and what if’s ko. Gusto ko po sa ABM, eh kaso hindi inooffer sa school. So, HUMSS po ang kinuha ko kakasimula plng ng 2nd sem at hindi pa siguro huli ang lahat, pinag-iisipan ko kung lilipat ba ako ng GAS since hindi ko pa rin alam ang kukunin ko sa college if gagraduate ako as Humanista. Now I knew na kahit HUMSS o GAS ang kukunin ko ngayon at kukuha ako ng Accountancy sa college eh parehas lng na magb-bridging program. Thank you for the information sir! God bless!

Nilipat Lang kami Ng abm Kasi Hindi raw namin meet Yung REQUIREMENTS nila para maka stem kami🙂. DBA dapat kami Yung masusunod Kung anong strand Yung pililiin namin, tapos PALIBHASA Hindi namin meet Yung REQUIREMENTS Ng stem, nilipat nlng nila kami sa ibang strand🙂. Because of that I was forced to change school where Wala silang REQUIREMENTS para maka pasok sa stem strand🙂. Ang masakit lng talaga is Yung tpong gusto mo sanang mag graduate SA school na Yun pero kailangan mong lumipat para sa ikabubuti mo🙂.

What do you mean na wlang requirements ? Kasi pagkakaalam ko mga 85+ dapat general ave. Mo para maka pasok ka SA stem or 85+ lahat nga mga major subjects
Kaya ako pumunta dto dahil din sa ganitong reason 🙂, tama ka dapat tayo masususnod , ako bumagsak ung grades ko last year lkne of 7 sa math and science kase naging sakitin ako at d ako nakakapasok , kung alam ko lng na sapilitan na gagwin nila pag d mo nameet ung requirements na 85 85 ung grade sa science math sana pala d ko na lng tinapos ung grade 10 at umilit nlng ako ngaung taon baka sakali mag 85 ako sa dalawang subjects 🙂, honestly d namn ako bobo dun sa subjects na un dahil un nga pinakapaborito ko ,pag sinisipag ako kahit ayaw ng katawan ko nakaka 90 or 80 above namn ako dun , ngaun lng talaga bawal kase d ako nakapasok ,pero willing nmn akong aralin mga kailangan kong aralin kung pede lng , bat ba kase may requirements pa , alam ko namng needed ung may alam ka sa kinukuha mong strand pero minsan kase may mga estudyante na nagkakaroon ng mga pagsubok kaya d naaabot ung needed na requirements nila ,atleast sana may pa test kung kaya ba ng bata mag stem hindi ung puro grades lng ,ung iba nga jan pumasa ng 85 dahil sa pagpasok lng tas may sasabihin na needed 85 pero wala namn talagang passion sa Math at Sci ,nakakaloko lng at the same time nakakabwiset na nakakaiyak

Huhuhuhu, siguro ito na talaga yung sagot sa mgakaguluhan na naiisip ko. I take ABM strand but now I’m incoming grade12 I want to become an architect, pinagiisipan ko na mag bridging program or mag stem ngayong grade12 but unfortunately mahihirapan talaga ako. Bridging program may bayad pala hahahhaha kaya thanks Sir kasi d ko na ipipilit na maging archi, tapos yung paglupat ko ng stem sana lagot ako, kasi sasabog utak ko at grabe ang time baka wala ng pahinga... huhuhuhuh To thise grade 10 na nagbabasa nito dapat talaga alam niyo na kung anong kukunin niyo, isipin niyo lahat ng what ifs at kung anong magiging epekto sa inyo ng kukunin niyo hehhehe,

Upcoming shs student here! I wanted to take stem as my strand because i love studying medical science and biology (especially i will take med tech as my pre-med course once i got into college), yet im not that good when it comes into mathematical equations and, statistics and probability, and that leaves me with an option of taking humss as my strand, knowing that my skills are related on this strand although my interest and profession are at the stem strand. (Hope im not making the wrong decision)

I am here bcs our school doesn't really give us the freedom to enroll to the strand that we want. We need to take admission exams first in order for us to be able to be on a designated strand. I chose STEM bcs the course that i want is on that strand. However, i know for sure that the test will not be easy for me since I struggle in math. And so if i don't pass I will be automatically enrolled to GAS.... 😭whyyyyy
Then study math you still have a time left so don’t waste it good luck.

Hello. Just wanted to share my experience as I was also once worried and anxious on how my strand will align to my desired college course. For some background, I was a former ABM student in shs but now currently a 1st year physical therapy student in UST. For comment sake, I passed ustet with no recon and did not come from ust shs. ABM subs nowhere near aligns to the subjects we are taking in physical therapy, however, dont let that disadvantage discourage you from taking the course of your dreams. In my case, almost everything was taught to us in ust and only a fraction (as of now) were knowledge they expected us to know prior. Although ofc yung mga nag stem and health strands in shs do have an advantage kasi most topics were discussed in shs. But tbh u can actually youtube the lessons prior if you have an idea on what youll be learning (like what i did).
I just thought of putting down this comment cuz when i was shs i somehow knew na ABM was not for me (no hate, just personal reasons and i saw myself more into medicine cuz im rlly interested on the human body) and i couldn't find someone ik or na sa youtube that patterned my strand, going into college and taking this course para ma-inspire ako. I cant speak for all ppl from other strands that want to shift paths in college but hopefully this can help all of yall decide ur path going there. Know that it’s rlly up to u and your sheer will if u wanna excel in something. If u are rlly interested in what ur studying or about to learn, almost nothing can hold u back esp if u have the right habits and discipline. If i made it here, kaya niyo din yan.

I took HUMSS kasi I excel more on communication and stuff and decided last year na mag psy-psychology na talaga ako, nandon yung passion ko eh, dedicated na 'ko dun. pero, sadly, I didn't pass the entrance exam ng pinaka close na university here sa province namin, the one and only university that offers bs in psychology course, di ko naipasa, apaka sayang nga eh kasi 2 points lang yung kulang ko. gragraduate na 'ko this july, and opening na naman ng schools sa august-september, and i'm really worried kase i told my mom na "gusto ko mag psychology, i wanna try sa baguio" but she didnt like my idea and as a punishment for not passing my entrance exam, she will and i will be forced to take med school, medtech, sa pinaka malapit na university dito samin, of course okay lang naman, pero, you know, i didnt take stem, so, mag baback to zero nanaman ako. huhu. however, right now, i'm starting to read my sister's old books, since she's a doctor now. and after med school naman, makakapag take din naman ako ng psychiatry so, medjo okay na din and mejo hindi naman ako. anyways, thank you, po. let's see, baka hindi psychology yung path na kailangan kong i-take right now.

I wanted to take stem. But not good in math but for the love of Medical Course I'll take kukunin ko sana but grades must 85 above, and my first grading to second grading was messed up becaude of personal problems and couldn't focus on studies but i did well on 3rd and 4th, when i received that news i couldn't enter stem i questioned myself if i should pursue medical course

Hi po I'm from HUMSS and thinking of shifting to ABM kasi po I realized the potential of Accountancy as a pre-Law course. I think possible pa since di pa naman 2nd sem (For first sem same lang po ang subjects namin, 2nd sem pa po ang core subjects ng bawat strand if I'm not mistaken). Or maybe just take a bridging program in College. Kaso po natatakot ako sa parents ko and sa gastos. Very pricey po ba siya? Mahirap po ba? Thanks for answering po.
sameeee !! Regarding ur questions, yan din yung concern ko, it really depends on the school ur planning to attend. I did my research and sa school na bet ko, 17k ang bridging program and required talaga. Sa iba naman, may option ka if gusto mong mag take ng program. I think, we should contact the administration ng school para sigurado na rin hehe sana kayanin natin 😭
Goodluck po, as for me baka magtake na lang ako ng aligned sa strand or bahala na kung anong maipasa ng program. Btw sa iba pong univ hindi nagmamatter yung strand mo kasi ituturo rin naman nila uli. Ayun lang, sana po makuha niyo ang dream course niyo.

Aralin nyo na po yung Gen chem, Organic chem, biochem, and biology habang may time pa kayo. ganun lang den kasi ginawa ko kaya hindi ako yung clueless talaga nung pagtungtong ko sa 1st year ng nursing.

Nalilito talaga ako 😭 gusto ko kasing maging doctor, either a psychiatrist or a psychologist. Ang stem kasi based on my understanding, doon maganda para sa mga doctor kaso ang humss kasi tinuturo din ang psychology HAHHAHAH di ko alam kung ano ang papasukan 😭 lalo na sabi daw mas marami kang chance makapasok sa big schools kapag stem and pinasukan mo kasi mapapadali

Abm ako pero civil engineering kukunin kase di nag qualify grades ko sa stem nung grade 11 then lumipat ako ng school pero wala pala silang stem kase kulang sa teachers kaya abm nalang hahaha
Huhuhu same main plan ko talaga mag abm then tourism kaso ayaw ng parents kasi sayang daw talino ko kaya ginusto ko mag civil eng. Kaso nasa abm na ko juice ko sasabog na ulo ko dahil sa bridging na yern hassel

Yes pwede naman yun but you have to take bridging courses for college.. mga subjects na kailangan for your course

hello sir! Fresh pa po ito char. Arts and design student ako and a grade 12 student so litong lito na talaga ako kung anong kukunin ko for college. Nagbabalak akong magpsych kahit na di in line sa strand ko so sana po meron pong ganyan sa univ na pinasukan ko and thank u po huhuhu pinataas nyo po pagasa ko! Thanks sir!!!

@@souei2673 ICT Po, akala po kasi nung kausap namin dati sa registrar na wala daw ICT Pero nung binalikan namin meron naman pala kaya dun nalang kami. Pero eto lsng masasabi ko sa experience ko since graduating na ako this june and mag cocollege na ako...
STEM - I think suitable to kung ang focus mo ay Programming kasi tingin ko useful yung mga maths dito para sa college if mag Computer Science ka.
ICT - Based sa experience ko, puro hardware lang ang natuturo sa amin, may math din dito pero nung grade 11 (General Mathimatics) lang kasi ngayon grade 12 wala kaming math.
Mga major lessons na pinag aralan namin is about pag fifix ng wires, identifying the parts of a computer (eg. System Unit) then may papakibasong abbreviations, About networking sa pag coconnect ng wires for Server, Clients, internet etc. The meron pang iba, di ko na ilalahat. CSS kasi yung main subject namin sa ICT kaya wala kaming napag-aralan related sa Programming so dapat kami na mag aadjust at self learning nalang para makasabay sa college.

Grabii, 1 month nalang before shs and nakaenroll na ako sa school ko ng jhs which is science hs and STEM lang ang meron sila, magpupulis ako and HUMSS talaga dapat dun, ewan ko kung magpapalipat ako kasi nandun pa mga kaklase ko, haha late na po ba para lumipat sa ibang public school or itake ko na yung STEM since nasanay na rin naman ako sa science hs
