Norway by Motorhome 2023 - Trondheim to Sognefjord

Leaving Trondheim we headed into the Western Fjord region with its dramatic landscapes of steep sided fjords, tiny islands, high plateaus, and frozen glaciers. We drove many of the Norwegian Tourist Authority’s designated Scenic Routes here, which we had highlighted in pink on our map back in 2019 and it served us well again this trip. It’s a great way to make sure you see the best that Norway has to offer and much of the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. This region has a different feel to the far North, but is every bit as beautiful and although we had a bit of bad weather we still got to see some of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been in glorious sunshine.
